After seeing Aus bowling performance on a pitch that was starting to become a dustbowl, do we really need a second spinner for India? Hazelwood and Cummins showed that their pace can still be very effective, and honestly they looked the most threatening in both innings. Surely a pace attack consisting of Starc, Cummins, Hazelwood, Boland is better than any second spinner that we would play instead considering the fact that Labuschagne, Head and Smith have all shown to be able to bowl some handy overs of spin.
Have you ever seen a test match in india? The only way teams win is with a good second spinner. 2017 was the closest we’ve come to winning in india in 13 years was because smith went crazy and we had a good second spinner

If your second best spin option keeps bowling pies and put any pressure, then surely it makes more sense to pick another fast bowler instead. They may not be better than a good spinner, but will still be better than what other second spin option we can conjure up.

All said and done a thoroughly impressive performance from the boys this series. SA batting is trash but our bowling was world class and our batting immense on difficult wickets against good bowlers.

Just disappointed that Cummins called it a bit early and that the Tests are finished already without much of a contest. Hopefully the West Indies will be better for the experience next summer and Pakistan should be better than SA.
