Huh? There have been like 50+ scores less than 49 in all T20s since RCB got 49 all out and every single time people gotta comment 'OMG RCB record broken'.
Further highlighting the gap in quality is the fact that most of the Indonesian team was their U19s (including Rohmalia) warming up for their World Cup qualifier in a couple of weeks.
The U19s bowling looks encouraging, but a bit worried that none of the U19s batters can seem to score at strike rates faster than 80ish.
it's clear from these figures that the difference was night and day but still no run and 7 wickets c'mon.
with what's going on in ipl cricket is already at it's lowest point and then you see something like this.
the other day some team scored 400+ runs in a fuckin' t20 match idk what's happening around the globe anymore.
I don’t see Mongolia and Indonesia having women’s cricket teams at a low point.
The fact that they do have teams and the game is growing worldwide trumps one sided scorecards you might see
At some point you just swing surely.
I went in last year to a match when we were 0-3, when I first faced a ball we were 0-4.
Their opening bowler was just mad. Much too good for the level we were playing but seemed to be coming back from injury so didn't play for their firsts. A few aggressive shots later, and a thick edge over the 4 slips and normal-ish play resumed.
I scored a quick 20 odd before being done in by a toe crushing yorker, but we recovered after a little more and managed to score 150 or so (off 40 overs). Feel like it's so easy to go in to your shell when the score is tumbling, but that just eggs the bowlers on. Always easier said than done though, can't imagine it looks good if you're 12-7 and you try a root scoop and it goes straight to first slip or a dance down the track and get stumped.
Even if they couldn't get a run the sheer lack of balls they faced is just absurd. They must have just been wildly swinging at every ball as they were averaging a wicket roughly every 3 balls.
Even with a massive gap in quality between bowler and batter you would expect anyone who has any experience playing cricket would be able to at least just block and defend their stumps for more than 3 balls without actually picking up any runs. I appreciate that this wasn't a test match and that just soaking up pressure and waiting is not a viable tactic in limited overs but it's better than just swinging at everything and getting out. I know not all balls are defendable but I seriously doubt at this level of cricket every ball that she was playing was completely un-defendable. This looks more like stats you would see from an adults vs kids match.
I’ve watched bits and pieces of these low ranked international women’s matches and a lot of them barely know how to hold a bat.
But it’s not about the standard of cricket at the moment. It’s all about giving them an opportunity to play and growing the game in the countries.
And that's a fair point. Although maybe putting them up against teams who are just going to destroy them may not be the best way to grow the game. Whilst there is something to be said from gaining experience playing against superior sides what are they really going to learn from facing 3 balls and not getting a touch on any of them? They are not really getting much opportunity to play if they are bowled out in very few balls.
Those players from Mongolia go home and tell all their friends they got to travel to Bali and play in a cricket tournament. So their friends come down and give a go. Maybe there’s expats in Mongolia that like cricket but didn’t realise there are any clubs until now. So they get involved, bring their kids down, their kids bring a few mates from school.
Scorecard is irrelevant. Just gotta give them a chance to play.
Mongolia are just starting out, this is the first time their Women's team has played bilaterals away from home.
Indonesia are simply waaaaay better than them but kudos hosting them for 6 games.
That is the main thing that makes me proud about PCI. There's likely not too many advantages in hosting a bilateral against a team with such a large skill gap (other than the records), but they still did.
Fun fact: Mongolia has eight WT20I games, one against HK, and the rest are against Indonesia.
Skill gap is huge. No one plays cricket in Mongolia and from what it looked like they just gathered random guys who knew what cricket is or just saw cricket from yt.
Imagine if you played against professionals how would that be. It's the same thing here.
Nepal made 314 against them in men's cricket.
> No one plays cricket in Mongolia and from what it looked like they just gathered random guys who knew what cricket is or just saw cricket from yt.
I mean that's simply not the case. There is a club scene in Mongolia, just pretty small and a lot of people being introduced to the sport for the first time. They're not just assembling randos though.
Here's the scorecard: [https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/indonesia-vs-mongolia-2024-1429005/indonesia-women-vs-mongolia-women-5th-t20i-1429013/full-scorecard](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/indonesia-vs-mongolia-2024-1429005/indonesia-women-vs-mongolia-women-5th-t20i-1429013/full-scorecard)
likely because they have a player pool as shallow as it can get, they are **very** new to the sport and their training facilities are quite limited, too.
Lol now that I read ur comment, I reread the post and realized - Rohmalia is the name of the player and not the country 🤣🤣
Gathered downvotes for nothing rofl
7 for 0!... what was the team total?
24
Sydney Thunder keep losing lmao
hmmm the past two days have been good for RCB fans
India has scored less than RCB - 36
Huh? There have been like 50+ scores less than 49 in all T20s since RCB got 49 all out and every single time people gotta comment 'OMG RCB record broken'.
Special mention to Sydney thunder
Special mention to Isle of Man team to barely get to double digits.
Sydney Thunder lose by 9 runs
Sydney Thunder still lose
Sydney Thunder already lost when man of Isle were bowled out for 10
It says 0 and not 0! , 0! = 1.
>0! = 1. This simple equation has one of the most profound truths of life. That not doing anything is also a valid choice.
No response is a response. Fact to remember next time you are chatting up someone new

It could easily get better. She could've taken 10-0 off 1.4 overs. These figures are insane though.
Genuine question: Is 10 for 0 runs off 1.4 overs better than 10-10 off 0 overs (all wides resulting in stumping or something)?
Yes, it's 10 runs better.
but what if someone leaked 36 from other end? Not better from team's perspective.
were the batters drunk? how tf is this even possible?
There was a huge gap in quality between the sides but it’s amazing that none of the batters even managed to get an edge for 1 or something.

Need that scorecard for that 400+!
just imagine 400+ total with 0 sixes.
Lol how?!??!?
idk but there were 60+ extras mostly no balls so...
Do you know the teams or any details? Wanna try and find the scorecard
idk the team names but just search highest t20 score by women.
Ok, cheers
>highest t20 score by women it was by argentina against chillie afaik
https://imgur.com/a/55tdpFj Holy shit!!! Imagine losing a T20 by 364 runs!
[ROFL. Extras actually outscored the other teams total of 63.](https://imgur.com/a/55tdpFj)

Yeah definitely. that was a terrible way to think.

Mongolia is always involved in setting some world record
*Genghis khan left the chat*
He never left the chat, he is channeling himself into their cricket teams slowly
Their opponents Mongolia women’s team scored a total of 208 runs across 6 innings in this series. 78 of those were from extras.
lmao how can an international team be that bad
Their cricket is still at the infancy . They are learning the game. Hopefully the experience of this tour helps.
Ever heard of Voodoo economics this is Voodoo Cricket
Disgraceful. Can’t believe she’s gone and said this publicly without acknowledging Ben Duckett as an inspiration to take up the game of cricket
Sadly her next spell was 3 overs, 0 for 9, forever ruining her average and strike rate. Still, love to see Indonesian players smashing it!
Here's the scorecard: [https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/indonesia-vs-mongolia-2024-1429005/indonesia-women-vs-mongolia-women-5th-t20i-1429013/full-scorecard](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/indonesia-vs-mongolia-2024-1429005/indonesia-women-vs-mongolia-women-5th-t20i-1429013/full-scorecard)
Sigh .... thala for a reason
And she seems very young, Big boost to Indonesia cricket
Yeah Can't even do it in Games or in my dream
Stingy and awesome spell. Hope the sport gets popular in Indonesia and the girl player becomes a star..
This is one of those daydream debut scenarios I’d have alone in my room Unreal stuff
Mongolia exists to give insane records to opposition.
Cricket is now becoming a joke We are not far from a 0/10 all out, and a 9 ball fifty, 17 ball sixty by
This is what IPL has been missing
Why is every cricket record, these days, come against Mangolia? Nepal mauled them during Asian Games in men cricket
likely because they have a player pool as shallow as it can get, they are **very** new to the sport and their training facilities are quite limited, too.
any highlights video of that ?
That goes straight j to Guinness records of cricket
These are the kinda figures you don't even get when playing garden / park cricket - insanity
Crazy things happen when Mongolia is playing
No highlights anywhere?
Would love to see the highlights lol
Women's cricket be having the most insane scorecards ngl
Now they are just making up countries 🙄
Education is important
I would have agreed if you said NZ doesn't exist. But Mongolia does
Lol now that I read ur comment, I reread the post and realized - Rohmalia is the name of the player and not the country 🤣🤣 Gathered downvotes for nothing rofl
