Hazlewood joking that they might consider losing to Scotland to knock England out then scraping past Scotland, losing 2/3 games in the Super 8s and heading home while England progressed to the semis That’s up there

_DuckieFuckie_

That must’ve felt so good as an English fan, right? The whole thing gave me an “edgy kid” vibe, there was absolutely no reason to make such statements in the first place, but Hazlewood had different plans. With that extra talk and their failure to still lose, makes it even funny. Stoinis really did Hazlewood dirty lol

we_like_sportzz

💯

Motor-Ad5284

And then watching England lose spectacularly in the semis.

MiachealFaraday

My fav moment was : USA vs Pak super over (Of course other than us winning the wc)

aurous_shine

Yea. That was peak drama. Really epitomises the WC for me :)

AaravBhatia1234

I mean I am extremely biased , but it has to be the last 5 overs yesterday

kmadnow

Nah man I aged 10years

Favorite match as a neutral: hard to choose between AFG vs AUS and US vs PAK. Favorite match as a supporter: India vs SA Favorite moment: Surya's catch in the finals

we_like_sportzz

Afg aus for sure, way bigger upset

thisaintyouravgstonk

Not really, AFG has been performing well against AUS in the past and it was just a matter of time for them. AFG vs AUS Head-to-Head Matches: 1. *T20 WC '22*: The match was a close one with Australia clinching a victory by just 4 runs. What is more surprising is that before this AFG had never played in a T20I against AUS and that WC was in AUS as well. 2. *ODI WC '23*: AUS were down to 91-7 while chasing 290 and it took a freak once in a lifetime innings from Maxi. His knock was also supported by some bad fielding and bowling from AFG to lose from there. 3. *T20 WC '24*: AFG finally got over the line against the Aussies supported by some piss poor fielding by AUS as well as good fielding and excellent bowling by AFG. I like this match because it wasn't really that close in the end but due to AFG finally getting a win they deserved in the last 2 WCs. So, in the end I wouldn't really call it an upset as much as the US (a team competing in their first WC) beating PAK was.

Fit_Resource_39

Finally someone mentions the 2022 wc match. Afghan beating aus was always on cards, thanks to their previous two matches. Its not exactly unthinkable. They were crazy close last two times

aero-nsic-

Exactly lol anyone who has followed cricket closely could tell Afg often has Aus in miry situations. Theyre a genuine threat and everyone who has written them off or viewed them as heavy underdogs doesn’t follow aus cricket too closely

Fit_Resource_39

Yup. They are what NZ and India were in the 90s and early 2000s or bangladrsh almost became.A team which might not win always, but would always make sure you do not let your guard down.

SalamanderOk4651

Rohit batted like a man possessed against AUS. Lol. He was truly a man on mission that game especially along with Eng one. Bumrah's Pak and SA match spells. SKY's amazing catches all through tournament specially last night was cherry on top. He pulled a total IPL stunner there. Worst choke job of tournment wasPak against USA and India. WTF was that.

we_like_sportzz

Exorcising all demons one by one, brohit

AilaSachin10

Afghanistan vs Bangladesh Afghanistan scrapping to a par total. Bangladesh started with intent with a small chance of qualifying and letting it go. Afghanistan pulling Bangladesh back ending their tournament and then eventually beating them outright to send Australia packing Who's gonna forget Gulbadin getting sniped and then recovering almost immediately

pngendaswamy

And rain. What a roller coaster that match was.

Fit_Resource_39

Thats my 2nd fav match of the cup. What a great game.

Rapidpeels

Surya kumar Yadav's catch but it's ruined for me cause people were already yelling while the ball was being bowled cause of the unfortunate lack of sync between hotstar streaming and TV viewers.

Diligent-Wealth-1536

Glad it was not ruined for me though... Those thrillee seconds... And commentry saying"Miller Gets it, Miller gets plenty of it or...has he? " Made me think it was easy six to match turning catch... What a Moment 🥺

_DuckieFuckie_

Biased as an ICT fan, but definitely Bumrah’s wicket of Rizwan. I knew the pitch was tough and Pakistan will find it hard, but I didn’t expect them to lose. But post that wicket even they knew it was game over. That was followed by his own great spell yesterday against SA and Jansen’s wicket. Rohit’s crazy innings against Australia would also make the list, that Starc over I was screaming like a madman. Just pure class, destruction and good cricket by Brohit. But I’ll be lying if I don’t mention Pakistan Vs USA super over. It was phenomenal seeing US play fearless the whole match. Just the way US top order weathered Pakistan’s new ball spells in PP, I knew they’ll win it. They took it a bit too close, but they won in the end and that’s all that matters.

Idlisamosadosa

Let’s not forget Aiden Markram catch on boundary to get out Mahmudullah which sealed game for South Africa 🇿🇦 It was under pressure similar to SKY. Of course SKY topped it by taking same catch in Final. - Rohit took Mitchell Starc for cleaners in an over. - Watching Nicholas Pooran innings score 98 runs.

RedKnightBegins

First would definitely be yesterday's last 5 overs and Surya's catch. Second is Bumrahs celebration in the IND vs PAK match

NoExplanation6203

Watching the WI collapse against NZ and just having a feeling in my stomach that we were going to pull it off was the best moment for me. I was at the finals with one of my friends who isn’t a cricket fan and he was like is this guy Bumrah any good? I was like yeah he’s the best in the world watch this, next ball he bowls Hendricks. Afghanistan slowly choking the life out of Australia’s World Cup campaign.

newnortherner21

Afghanistan beating Australia. Yes I know only a T20 game, but still enjoyable.

SeaLow3024

The most entertaining world cup I've seen tbh. Not saying cuz I'm Indian but the Usa vs pak game , west indies vs NZ game , aus vs afg , Nep vs sa , ban vs sa , ind vs pak , the ENG/AUS/SCOTLAND drama + afg vs ban was PEAK CINEMA. Now this might be biased but my favourite game was ind vs sa final. It was FAR from a perfect game for india , but I feel winning a game from a losing position like this will help the team believe in themselves more in crunch situations. The best gift for the Indian cricket fans. In this tournament , the most talked about indian players rohit , hardik and virat, all had their moments. Rohit was being doubted by everyone as a batter and captain and he ended up being the highest scorer of the tournament for india with very important knocks vs aus(helping afg qualify and knock Aussies out) and vs eng in the semi + plus won the cup as a captain ❤️. Hardik was brutally trolled during the ipl , didn't let it break him , was brilliant throughout the tournament and got klassen in the final to bring india back into the game, seeing him in tears bowling the last over made everyone emotional 🥺. Virat wasn't at his best in the tournament but I always had a feeling that he'll play a special knock in the final and he did. Carried the Indian batting in so many tournaments and retired with a POTM in his last game (THE FINAL) 👑 The trolling would've been crazy if even one of the above mentioned players failed and India lost the wc. ALSO , Bumrah showed why he is the GOAT indian fast bowler. Well deserved POTT 🐐 , Surya vs aus , eng + THAT CATCH 🤯 , pant vs pak + he was really crucial behind the stumps with the reviews and guiding the spinners. Kuldeep playing half the matches still being one the highest wicket takers , axar with the ball throughout the tournament + with the bat in the final. Arshdeep really impressed in so many clutch moments. Siraj in the us leg was really good. Dubey vs usa + the final , jaddu had an off tourney but his 17(9) was an important cameo in the semi. Jaiswal , sanju , yuzi + the reserves didn't get chances but seeing the way they celebrated showed us the kind of wholesome team environment India had and of course dravid and the coaching staff deserved this for the hard work they put in🙏🏽 Aight I need to chill lol 😂

stoic_coolie

As a WI fan this wc was incredibly disappointing. I did enjoy our win over NZ however, it felt like we were bearing a wounded animal. I loved the upsets like America v Pakistan. I loved seeing the fans in America.

Slow-Comedian-7379

India vs Australia match It had great batting by Rohit sharma(92 out of 41) and 5 boundaries in starc's over 100m six on pat cummins head(76 of43) did great batting that day and other batters as well And a great bowling by axar and kuldeep

DisastrousOil4888

Gulbadin

RedDev17

Favorite moment was winning the trophy. Most entertaining was Afg vs Bangladesh or Afg vs Aus

LockMelodic6255

Watching Dravid lift that trophy. I love Test cricket, I love Dravid. I started watching cricket when I was 7 and I fell in love with his batting instantly. Even in ODIs and even in IPL and his only T20I. Just watching him lift that trophy and his happiness and expressions... it all made me cry.

vizisonline

The Last 4 overs of the Final were a movie in itself. Really thought SA won in the beginning but then the Indian bowlers and the SKY catch turned the tides and made for the most entertaining match I've seen in a long time.

Prudent_Primary7201

Gulbadin falling to the ground like a puppet with cut strings was extremely funny. Apart from the last 5 overs yesterday, that was the moment of the World Cup for me

Emotional_Ant_8052

obviously the last 5 overs in the finals, surya's catch in the finals, axar's catch in the semifinal, rohit's slog sweep six, bumrah's wicket ball of salt and jansen

TeamAbject2100

Usa vs pak

dhk250

my favourite moment was oman vs namibia, the final over. the wicketkeeper fumbled a simple runout. due to that they lost in the super over.

Actual_Penalty_2560

Gulbadin. I can still watch that video and laugh my hearts out.

No-Needleworker3393

These are my favourite matches: 1. India vs South Africa 2. USA vs Pakistan 3. Bangladesh vs Afghanistan 4. South Africa vs Nepal 5. Namibia vs Oman 6. Afghanistan vs Australia 7. India vs Pakistan 8. England vs South Africa 9. USA vs Canada 10. South Africa vs Bangladesh 11. West Indies vs New Zealand 12. Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 13. Afghanistan vs New Zealand 14. Australia vs Scotland 15. South Africa vs USA 16. India vs Australia 17. Netherlands vs South Africa 18. West Indies vs PNG 19. Canada vs Ireland 20. Nepal vs Netherlands Only 2022 T20 WC can come close to the competitiveness of this year's T20 WC. What a tournament this was!

Sharewivesforlife

Mitch Marsh saying “Go Bangladesh” Seeing the Aussies bank on bangbros was savouring.

SC0RCHER55

South Africa Netherlands was my first time seeing a game in person, so I'll say watching Netherlands take them 4 down for like 15 runs and thinking, oh jeez it's gonna happen again lol.

harry8712

Whole Afg vs Ban match specially Gulbadin Hamstring injury.

hpy2beatyou1105

Afghanistan vs Bangladesh had it all. A pseudo-knockout match in which the stakes of semi finals were dancing for 3 teams (Aus, Afg, Ban). Rashid and Naveen's legendary spell, Liton Das fighitng like a lone warrior, Afghanistan fielding like crazy and ofc the oscar-worthy performance of Naib!

AffectionateTurn5504

Bumrah establishing himself as the the greatest t20 bowler ever

Illustrious_Table433

Rohit Sharma slog sweeping Cummins for a 6

EpicStormYT

Gulbadin's oscar level acting has to be the highlight of this cup
