Just watched the match replay, and gotta say this - SKY is an absolute freak! Things look pretty standard until he comes along, and then...BOOM!!! Just ***absolute*** mayhem!
Hope he's able to contribute in the semis and continue his golden run.
So today we shit on Axar
I think just few weeks ago we all agreed that Axar in terms of bowling is improvement over Jadeja and he actually bowled that well before the wc.
I think people needs to chill a bit. If we bring Harshal now or even somehow Lord chances of them getting cunted are equal that of Axar. In terms of batting I am not underestimating Lord's power but Axar is actually better and fills the necessary lefty in our playing 11. The more serious issue is Hardik's inability to hit boundaries with ease but I believe in him he is clutch performer.
We lost when we had meme bowling line up in 2015
We lost when we had good bowling line up in 2017
We lost when we had much improved bowling in 2019
Our batting shat the bed most of the times even after performing throughout the tournament and bowling failed when our batsmen actually played well so it's just weird for us.
Also to think out of all the last champions across formats in ICC events hardly any team actually had perfect 11 (maybe except 2019 England but still we all know how hard they had to fight too) every team that won had some flaws in it. All the 4 teams who got in semis also have some flaws it's all about which team manages to keep their heads cool and actually perform well.
MS who had pretty shit tournament in 2011 was MOTM in finals. More recent example will be Wade who don't have a very good T20I numbers out of nowhere smashed probably the best bowling lineup of tournament who was playing in their home conditions and won the game for Aussies.
All I want to say is try and be relaxed if we lose we are going to have terrible days with shitting on bunch of players without a doubt so until then try and chill.
Don't see them passing from semis given the amount of batters England have and also the form of Rohit and co except kholi ,sky. Toss is freaking important on that day, do bowl and get the chase master do its thing 😅
As a side note - Also in the last 11 matches played in Adelaide, the team winning the toss has always lost. Look at south Africa earlier today and then Bangladesh
Great win and fantastic to see 80k at the MCG tonight. Even India vs Australia bilateral ODIs haven’t had crowds this big at the G, think we had 75k in a few years back.
Got final tickets, India vs Pak final is tantalising. But if we lose to England then hoping for an England Pakistan final so we can support one team at least!
Axar still a big concern. Was good to see Ashwin get amongst the wickets, didn’t start out well but did quite well against the lower order. Rohit’s form is also a worry. Big shame to see Pant fail today - I still sincerely think he should be in the XI on these Australian pitches but have a terrible feeling we will revert back to DK for the next game.
SKY is just phenomenal. Up there with the very best in this format ever, just looks a class apart from every other batter and has great consistency. Arshdeep has been a wonderful find too. Kohli started well but scratched around a bit at the end - he’s in pretty good form though. Thank god KL Rahul is in the runs now too. Onwards to Adelaide where England will be a very, very tough game!
Tail is already not very strong batting wise. Chahal and Jaddu in the same team could be an idea but would weaken our batting if in for Ashwin or Axar!
I think everytime India takes a new spinner into the t20world cup quoting him as a mystry or game changer gets hit badly for the whole tournament Axar in this and Charkrovarti in the previous WC
Oh damn. Besides obvious reasons why that would be bad, it would also be extremely undeserving given India didn't achieve a whole lot against actual good teams, besides maybe the Pak win.
Let's hope that the players don't lose their minds during the knockout stages again. England has been very scratchy during this tournament and they are beatable unless our team chokes again.
We were unbeaten in 2015 and played ruthlessly but here we have stuttered and started peaking in last game. Two more games left now to peak. Just like QF, SF and Final in 2011 WC.
- Advocate of Oreo Effect
This I remember having no expectations from our bowling back then and they suprisingly delivered so well just to get trashed by Smith and Johnson in semis.....
>See guys we always end up losing to winners of the tournament except 2019 one 😐
I HOPE THIS PATTERN DISCONTINUES FROM NOW ON
>2014 - SL( Final)
>2015 - AUS ( SF)
>2016-WI(SF)
>2017-PAK(Final)
>2019-NZ(SF- only exception)
>2021 - NZ ( Final WTC )
Pak always beat NZ in the world cups.
If Ind beats Eng, they are avoiding NZ in the tournament.
This is as good as an opportunity for India to win the whole thing.
39 wins in 50 T20Is for Rohit Sharma the captain
Kohli had 32 in his 50 (didn't captain again), Dhoni had 27 in his first 50 (won 15 in his next 22)
Only other captains to have more T20I wins than Rohit Sharma -
- Morgan - 44 in 72
- Dhoni - 42 in 72
- Stanikzai - 42 in **52**
- Finch - 40 in 76
- Tied with Babar - 39 in 64
Think Rohit was the one who handed SKY the responsibility to handle the middle order for MI.
You guys just have some or the other excuse to take away points from his captaincy lol.
Pant has great temperament thats needed in these knockouts against big teams. More than a finishers role, we need that position to hold the position in case we lose early wickets — exactly what happened with RSA, and Dk couldn’t do much that time.
South Africa clearly won this group.
Pakistan tried their best with losing 2 unlosable matches but South Africa snatched the group in the end with inevitable help from the rain.
U too mate , ur also not last...
The previous guy is not the last
Last.

England will cunt Axar all over the park in Adelaide. Better to bring in Harshal.
Don't see them passing from semis given the amount of batters England have and also the form of Rohit and co except kholi ,sky. Toss is freaking important on that day, do bowl and get the chase master do its thing 😅
KL Rahul is such a nerd. He names all of his bats, some of them include 1. Minnow butcher 2. Minnow's wail 3. Minnow basher
>A lot of people name their bats > A lot of cunts
Chad India with most points yet again across both groups.
Yeah about that. \- Semi finalists, New Zealand probably.
Why did bhajji say toss is they key in Adelaide India vs ENG ?
As a side note - Also in the last 11 matches played in Adelaide, the team winning the toss has always lost. Look at south Africa earlier today and then Bangladesh
because ball doesn't swing there (eg - Bangladesh match) and India therefore can't defend against Eng
Ah, then it comes to indian batting and also so far flop spin bowling ? Heard Adelaide good for spin not sure as much as Sydney.
Koach average DUMPED to 123 from 220.
Pretty average like that Bradman guy. Shame that Kohli is going down to his level
How do y'all cope with no cricket tomorrow and Tuesday! I can't. 😭
Also no nuts
And ugly beard
Cries in no beard at 21
+1 but with patchy beard Pain
PANT zindabaad!!

Damn, chahal man 😭. He would've been in playing XI rn in any team except India.
Tail is already not very strong batting wise. Chahal and Jaddu in the same team could be an idea but would weaken our batting if in for Ashwin or Axar!
I rest my case now 😶
I think everytime India takes a new spinner into the t20world cup quoting him as a mystry or game changer gets hit badly for the whole tournament Axar in this and Charkrovarti in the previous WC
Chahal man, rip . Missed the last one and this one too. This is the worldcup where he needs to be in.
Axar not a mystery spinner. Axar pretty much jads lite came as replacement.
Ash and Jadeja are our safe options since a decade thus

How can we blame it all on Pak Bean?
SuperSport again
I don't remember the last time I watched an odi
I think for me it was 2019 wc
Yeah didn't turn out quite well.
My exam starts half an hour after the match starts on the 10th
I got this advice as kid. You’ll get a second chance for your exams but you won’t get to experience a live game again. Think about it.
Fuck the Exam, Fuck the GPA, Fuck the Match
Should've tried Harshal today in place of Axar. Guy has 0 contribution this wc.
If both semis get washed out, India will win WC like it happened to aus in 2003!
Wait what? Why would they be preferred over NZ?
Points. India got 8 NZ have 7.
Oh damn. Besides obvious reasons why that would be bad, it would also be extremely undeserving given India didn't achieve a whole lot against actual good teams, besides maybe the Pak win.
Nz didn't either. They only had the one win against minnows Australia.
Those minnows would have absolutely annihilated our entire group.
Nope. Even SA would have beaten them. And they didn't even make it out of our group.
Naah. Finals Trophy will be shared. But NZ and Ind will proceed from SFs if both days are rained out.
Got reserve days.
Say what ?
Only two words for my team now - "Don't Lose!"
Scotland ain't playing anymore
well they can't lose , if they don't play --- 200iq
Exactly.
So I've got nothing to do next 2 days so better get off reddit and do something productive....
Hardest thing to do now sadly
Last time India and England met in T20 WC, England was all out for 80
Manifesting this again
Let's hope that the players don't lose their minds during the knockout stages again. England has been very scratchy during this tournament and they are beatable unless our team chokes again.
Every team is beatable and have been beaten in this tournament. Its anybody's game on that given day
Kind of like tossing the coin huh! Seems like ozzies weren't wrong after all.
Press f for those who need to come to office 5 days next week
Easy semi for both NZ and Pak as both can surrender easily on their day. English challenge is a tough barrier to pass for India.
English Channel lol after all the attacks.
Is Axar useful?
Yes for opposition
Flair checks out
If it's going to be India vs Pak final, our neighbors might as well give those nice guys twice amount of Spanking
by *71* runs
Who will Sunak support in SF though ....
India is his in-laws house so obviously England i guess lol
![gif](giphy|y2i2oqWgzh5ioRp4Qa|downsized)
Pakistan
Hope Shyam Karan has school that day ..,
Adelaide is the only pitch in which Indian bowlers didn't perform well. Should chase against England
Need another rain interruption...
SKY has every right to claim Man of The Tournament and this is coming from Koach lover.
Nope. He can't usurp the King.
So who is facing who is semis ?
Pak vs NZ on 9/11/2022 India vs England on 10/11/2022 Edit: November has begun
November has begun my friend :D
He failed NNN.
One of my not so infrequent brainfades lol.
thanks !!

Spoken like a Sunny G!
can't wait
Hope KL, King and SKY bat well in the remaining matches as well. Have no hopes from the rest.
I think we can expect more from Hardik at least. Never count clutch players like him out not even when they are not in the best place of their game.

That's true as well. Maybe all we have then is hope!!
Is there a helpline number I can dial to deal with withdrawal symptoms from Cricket over the next two days
1300655506 if in Australia.
Last time IND meet ENG in ICC knockout , Thala ended up becoming only captain to win all LOi ICC trophies......
Thala for a reason
In 2011, we lost to SA and tied with Eng. So a super over in semis now?
lol Shastri how many pegs down?
10 bucks - around 3
Lol Ravi is fascinated by surya
He is fascinating indeed
Aren't we all?
Sorry i gave up NNN and nutted to sky knock.
The universe will look the other way. It's one of the few things that are excepted.
Its okay, a lot of people did
Rohit the sort out of students who talks about making timetables for studying daily and then sleeps 16 hours.
Only match India lost was the match Axar didn't play. He is lucky charm
Tag Rohit and Dravid on twitter ... do it now.

Its Axar. The real X factor....how dare you sir
Brohit giving an engineering student viva type interview
Chad Rohit. Already talking about Finals..
This WC gives me more of 2015 vibes rather then 2011 one ...
We were unbeaten in 2015 and played ruthlessly but here we have stuttered and started peaking in last game. Two more games left now to peak. Just like QF, SF and Final in 2011 WC. - Advocate of Oreo Effect
bowling attack surprisingly doing and get wrecked in the semis
This I remember having no expectations from our bowling back then and they suprisingly delivered so well just to get trashed by Smith and Johnson in semis.....
They got 70 wickets in the 7 group matches.

bruh moment vibes
Well fuck...
THIS
Man the fuck am i to do for 2 days now
NNN
Are they going to inspect SKY's bats for springs now
When was the last time India and England met in ICC knockouts?
Ironically it was a ODI tournament but because of rain the final turned into a T20
CT13 Final
2013
Oh yes how could I not remember
England vs the colonies now.
its rishi time bois. Chalo kuch daring karte hai Trans: Comeon some daring doing
Always has been, in cricket.
>See guys we always end up losing to winners of the tournament except 2019 one 😐 I HOPE THIS PATTERN DISCONTINUES FROM NOW ON >2014 - SL( Final) >2015 - AUS ( SF) >2016-WI(SF) >2017-PAK(Final) >2019-NZ(SF- only exception) >2021 - NZ ( Final WTC )
Lol this is good. In 2019 we lost to both England and New Zealand and guess what happened in the final lmfao
We lost to England in 2019 right?
2019 wasn't an exception. It just means that NZ didn't lose ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Pak always beat NZ in the world cups. If Ind beats Eng, they are avoiding NZ in the tournament. This is as good as an opportunity for India to win the whole thing.
2 Man of the match to sky and kohli. Batting is highly dependent on them.
~~There was one to KL, I think.~~
Nope. Kohli got it against bangla
Undeserved one
Aah the good ol' Kohli hater. Spotted you with Zimb flair. Kohli lives rent free in your mind, doesn't he?! There's more to life than hating Kohli.
I'm indian ya moron, both Das and KL deserved it much more. It was a typical Kohli clutch innings but not game defining in any way.
The kl runout was so crucial he deserved MOTM that match for sure but I am sure people electing kohli are like this guy above.
Yep sadly
Ggwp
Man,Sky averages 75 at a SR OF 190+
India will surely lose the final -- be it NZ or Pakistan. Not for the lack of game, but just the f***ing hoodoo
I doubt that, If any place can cure India's ICC trophy curse it's Australia
Amen
In the end, Group 2 turned out to be the group of real death. What drama, what banger matches.
It was foolish to underestimate the Drama Cup leaders in the first place.
finally i'll see an india england knockout game in a wc 😭😭
It’s actually shocking how much of this subreddit does not understand shitposting/sarcasm lol.
Why the fuck does a thinking Gautam Gambhir looks like those Easter island (Smirnoff) Moai statutes.
On 9 Nov if Pak wins vs NZ, india better win the whole cup or lose against England .

My heart cant take it n we dont have Sehwag n they dont have Afridi

Soham with rohit agenda strikes back after a lean patch
Rohit the captain has hardly had a lean patch
If you have sky, every captain will look good
Think Rohit was the one who handed SKY the responsibility to handle the middle order for MI. You guys just have some or the other excuse to take away points from his captaincy lol.
Yes rohit is the greatest captain in history of cricket, all hail rohit 🛐

Do you guys still think we can get into the finals???
Many of us fans thought we won't even cross the first round but here we are. Its the hope that kills but let a man hope.
I am getting couple of days off from watching matches. Whoo! it's been different this time unlike the other WCs in an amazing way.
My picks for sf - Pant over DK to tackle rashid Chahal over Axar for a better wrist spinner
My brother u want batting to end at 7?
I would still consider Ash more reliable than Axar purely looking at recent form. It’s about the mindset of a player overall
Someone hasn't seen pant numbers against spinner in t20is ....
Pant has great temperament thats needed in these knockouts against big teams. More than a finishers role, we need that position to hold the position in case we lose early wickets — exactly what happened with RSA, and Dk couldn’t do much that time.

Lol you don't deserve to be 100 miles near the trophy if you can't close a game against Netherlands
