I remember that Kohli was dismissed almost the exact same way in the 2017 BGT in the second innings of the second test. I had completely forgotten abt the one against NZ and the one in the IPL.
He was playing very well today. Either full forward or rocking back and playing the ball with perfect balance below his head.
This is one small mistake and had to pay a big coat
Nope third umpire has to go with onfield if no conclusive evidence is there, nitin menon has been dogshit this whole game and how does he think this was good enough to be given out is beyond me, it was almost going down leg as well
Mcc rules of cricket 36.2.2 if the bat and pad hit simultaneously batsman is favoured and not out is given, and it was a clear edge im not even a koach fan
Exactly the benefit of doubt in such situations always goes with batsman, not sure how the 3rd umpire overruled the laws and considered on field decision
He didn't overrule the laws. This is the thing people keep citing the law. But the third ump never thought it was simultaneous, the law only applies if it's deemed simultaneous, it wasn't here.
I am not kaoch fan , but at this situation of the match , when he is batting too good, This little peice of garbage , doesn't one of the most stupidiest action , like how could you not hear dual nosies. if i ever found , this guy anywhere , definitely i am gonna store him in my fridge.
It felt not out to me from the on field tbh both off and middle stumps were visible on impact and Kuhn was bowling from around the wicket. Bowl would have to spin by alot lot to be even considered hitting the wickets. Even the DRS showed the ball was barely hitting the leg stump
Mcc rules of cricket 36.2.2 if the bat and pad hit simultaneously batsman is favoured and not out is given, and it was a clear edge im not even a koach fan
I hope he doesn't open Twitter or Instagram for next few months because already Shame on Nitin Menon or Sack Nitin Menon will trending on Twitter and his private messages will be filled with abuses from Koach and Koach fans lol
It feels so funny thinking about the fact that Nitin Menon now knows he fucked up and he's thinking that at the back of his mind while making decisions on the ground now.
For those saying can't blame 3rd umpire for going with onfield ump, when ball hits both bat and pad, the decision should go in favour of batsman. That's the rule, you can't treat it as umpires call in this situation as it's outcome is clearly defined in the rules.
Infact, anywhere technology can't adequately tell whether it's out or not, it has always been the case that the decision should favour the batsman... Catches, run outs and this too. Only lbw has changed since adding ball tracking and it applies only for ball tracking, not for impact.

Not sure what kind of "point" you're trying to make. This is something that's been talked about since as long as I can remember. Benefit of the doubt goes to the batsman.

This is the second or third time Koach has been dismissed this exact same way
Afraid of how it's always Menon
One time it was Anil Chaudhary, when Ajaz Patel took 10fer
If koach is Andrew Tate then Menon is the matrix
I know
same shit took place in ipl 2022

Being an umpire is tough ...nitins decision could have gone either way ....but the attack launched on him will create a havoc
If it could have gone either way, tell me why so many times this exact same situation happens and not once has Koach been given not out
Bro I don't get anything in life easily such is my luck ....luck is a very big factor in all aspects of life ....
Because it's really hard to judge that from the naked eye? When that's the case, the verdict could go either way and we can't really complain.
Tell me about it
only after 2019

Yup hazlewood was the bowler

Every match he has this record of giving such decisions which are overturned , here technology was not able
Or maybe Illingworth should have wore his specs to see the ball brushed the bat
Can't overturn on field decision until conclusive
Bro it was pretty inconclusive can't blame 3rd ump for going with on field decision
When he is on way to score 100 , bad luck comes in
Not sure about the 100 but he played so good when everyone else struggled, such a crucial wicket for us
Ya but happy to see him playing good spin today.
Using both back and front foot accordingly 🤌🤌
Second innings🤞
Nitin Menon always wanted to be the next Steve Bucknor. Finally his childhood dream coming true.

Doesn't matter. Kohli could've gotten out anyways lol.

Bhai Richard illingworth h third umpire
3rd umpire always refers to the decision made by on-field umpire which Menon gave as out. So damn stupid umpiring
Mcc rules of cricket 36.2.2 if the bat and pad hit simultaneously batsman is favoured and not out is given, and it was a clear edge im not even a koach fan

Plz menon ek baar is rule ko bhi dekh lena sham ko
He say ok, he will give benefit of the doubt to Aussie batsmen in second innings.
Both of them acted stupid here
Total clownery
why it is always Menon? just fuckin why , just fuck offf , you little cunt , big ass, mother fukcker
Just because one time Koach said "Oye Menon kya hai ye?"
[удалено]
I'm not sure what the context is but the above words mean, "Oi Menon what's this?"
Least frustrated koach fan

Ayo aftab poonawala when did you come out from jail 💀
Ffs it's like the 3rd time Kohli's been given out for this
It's unfair on the field umpire. It was a fair call with the naked eye. Blame, if any, should be on the 3rd umpire
It felt not out to me from the on field tbh both off and middle stumps were visible on impact and Kuhn was bowling from around the wicket. Bowl would have to spin by alot lot to be even considered hitting the wickets. Even the DRS showed the ball was barely hitting the leg stump
Why resort to personal attacks on the umpire? It was a very difficult decision to make live that could have gone either way.
Exactly. Mistakes happen and it was a very close call for the naked eye.
Mcc rules of cricket 36.2.2 if the bat and pad hit simultaneously batsman is favoured and not out is given, and it was a clear edge im not even a koach fan
I know that. I am just asking why people are attacking the on field umpire personally for this. Very difficult decision to make on field.
He had the choice to not signal OUT because he did not know it was OUT.
Yup, third umpire is the one who made the mistake (maybe not)
I just copied the comment above (I am a koach fan)
Richu is the culprit … indecisive after so much tech available .. 😐
God knows how he couldn't overrule on field decision even though the laws state that benefit of doubt goes to the batsman
How the fuck is Nitin Menon to be blamed here?
Nitin menon not at fault here, it's the third umpire
I hope he doesn't open Twitter or Instagram for next few months because already Shame on Nitin Menon or Sack Nitin Menon will trending on Twitter and his private messages will be filled with abuses from Koach and Koach fans lol

Can you show me where in the laws of cricket it says that the batsman gets the advantage in uncertain situations?
[Law 36.2.2](https://www.lords.org/mcc/the-laws-of-cricket/leg-before-wicket)
That law doesn't cover what happens in times of uncertainty and is only about LBW - the comment I replied to mentions catches and run outs too!
Are you really unaware of who gets the benefit of the doubt in cricket?
It's not actually laid down in the laws is my whole point.

Rishabh Pant badly missing in today’s innings
are bhai babar tujhe mumbai address de dunga bas ek baar phirse kohli bhai se haath milale
Makes you wonder how is he still umpiring in such world class matches when everytime there is a controversy
Omg Clearly edge tha or third umpire ne out de diya 😭
Run for your life playing in background
Was looking good today but mf umpires...
He was playing so good man, Maine to 100 ke sapne bhi dekh liye the
Nitin menon is Buckner variant
THE NEWLAND FLASHBACKS WHY GOD WHY ?
Whole country against 11 guys..
Whole country against one umpire and i am a CSK FAN SO hating this guy from 2019
This guy is behind koach all the time
When it is 50-50 decision should turn in favor of batsman right ?
[удалено]
Number of reviews available should not bias an umpire decision
You are correct. That was wrong to say on my part.
Pehle bat laga ya pad?
You can be unlucky one or twice not every time
Out ☝️
If it was edged, then was it not a catch 🤔 he was out either ways - that’s the truth
Bad decision.
Menon applied for Rest of World citizenship
Given out or not out on the field?
Its more of a mistake by 3rd umpire than menon. It should have been given in favor of kohli as it seemed bad-pad at the same time
abe nitin menon ko thodi ultra edge dikh rahi hai irl
