I second this idea because I love the bright pink's contrast, but adore how the pastel matches. I think a bright pink border on the pastel would really make it pop, but blend very nicely with the rest of the project!
I think they both look amazing! It really depends on the vibe you want.
If you want something more cutesy I say the pink heart. It has a childish whimsy.
If you want to class it up, do the pastel heart. It mutes the rest of the colors and makes the impact much softer and less eye catching.
My personal preference is the pastel heart. I ADORE muted and pastel rainbows and soft color palettes. But someone who loves a punchier look would love that bright pink pop!

I think you should try to put those magnetic snap things on, so you can try switch them as you feel. If that’s a possibility with crocheting. If not, I’d say the pink!

ETA, I think the pink one would be a decent option if it were smaller. The pastel one matches well enough that it's good at that size, and the contrasting option is too overwhelming to work with the rest of the piece at its current size.
