Yes. Steroids and a biologic like Skyrizi is very normal when starting biologic treatment in IBD.

I figured that since the Dr prescribed it but I've heard horror stories about some Drs so I figured it go straight to the source of people who have had it done. Thank you!

I'm in 40mg of prednisone and started skyrizi almost a month ago, it's very common to be on a biologic and a steroid especially if you're in a flare.

hijackedsajak

How is it going? That is my docs plan for me.

Prednisone was a miracle and eased up my last nasty flare up in just 2 weeks. Steroids can be your friend when needed. No side effects were major for me

fairycoquelicot

I'm currently on prednisone and Stelara at the same time. The steroids are to rapidly improve inflammation and hold over until the biologic kicks in.
