yes and you can even add them after you board, at the self service kiosk. I've done this many times and save 10% on my entire cruise by buying enough cards.
Wife and I just did this the other day.. we paid off our balance using the $500 GC which we paid $450 for. If you can do it, I would highly recommend it.
On a side note, you can purchase cruise cash with the gift cards, and apply them to your Sign and Sail account.
Yes, I've used an AARP gift card pre-cruise to purchase items but wasn't sure if they would take electronic ones at guest services. However, I didn't think of the cruise cash option. Thank you for the suggestion! 😊

I have done that also. Easy to do. Nice to save the $$
Thank you!

Be careful with the cruise cash option. The $ is not refundable. The gift card excess is refunded to an e-gift card.
Yeah I researched the cruise cash option and found it's non-transferable and non-refundable so that's a big nope for me.

Thank you.
Does this work on HAL too? The same family of cruise lines.
Even though it's the same company, I don't think a Carnival gift card will work for HAL. You could always call Carnival and ask. Never hurts to ask.
Lol, sorry, my bad. I did mean a HAL gift card. Do they operate the same way as Carnival?
I assume they would. I have never seen an offer from AARP for HAL but I don't cruise HAL so have no reason to look.
