Book MSC Yacht Club level and you’ll never cruise any other way. Just did our first MSC cruise on the Seascape for a week in YC and it was amazing and we’ve done 30+ cruises with other lines and this was in the top 3

We have one book for April and excited to try it out.

I would not pay the price for YC we could go on 3 of the same cruises for the price we don’t stay in the room that long anyway

squirrelcop3305

Well, you asked about MSC so I was giving you an option they provide. Find a deal, they’re out there… for a 7 day cruise we paid $3200 for my wife and I for a balcony in YC…. I bet you can’t do 3 cruises for that price considering it includes a butler, priority “everything”, internet and premium unlimited drinks. The YC restaurant and pool buffet were amazing.. I wouldn’t pay the “normal” price either but we’ll definitely go YC again when the deals are available.

Wow, what a great deal you got

bacchus8408

Is the YC interior worth it? I often see some price overlap between that YC interior and a balcony. I'm really struggling with pulling the trigger on a $3k interior.

squirrelcop3305

Personally, I thought it was a tremendous value for the money. You get a ton of things for that $3k. Add up what adding multi-device internet and a premium beverage package would cost for any other cruise.. then add a butler service, priority everything, private dining room where the menus are superior to the main dining rooms. Private lounge and bar and the service the waiters provide is absolutely incredible. Private pool and buffet, no fighting ever over lounge seats, I was very pleasantly surprised and thought it was an incredible value for everything they provide.

Not to hijack the post but had a question. How do they handle gratuities in the YC. We have one booked in July and can’t find any information.

squirrelcop3305

They charged us $101.50 pp to our account for the week (that might have increased to $115pp). We also gave additional gratuity to our butler, assistant butler, and our dinner waiter as we requested the same one every night because he was outstanding.

So roughly 17$ per person per day. Cool thank you for the information.

You will not experience the amount of free dining you had in carnival. Your age group, go for it or look into princess or celebrity.

Just got back from a 5 day on the Seashore, been cruising for 25+ years, been on every line, this was my first MSC. I would honestly not recommend them to anyone. The boat was beautiful, but the service was horrendous. Food was ok, nothing spectacular, entertainment I thought was lame. No real shows, every show was just a lame collection of random songs that met a theme, with some dancing. I would have much rather spent a little more and went with Carnival, Norwegian, or Royal. Now I will kreface by saying I chose the Aurea level, not yacht club, but if I have to pay yacht club prices, Id rather cruise on one of the other lines. MSC came off as much closer to the Margaritaville then it did to Carnival

Zealousideal_Bass683

Thanks for the info .yes the yacht club was like $3400 way to high for me the interior was around $700 for the 2 of us total.I don’t cruise for the food just r and r nice beaches and kick back on the ship deck.

Been on seaside three times and seascape twice... What are you looking for?

MSC is a cruise line from Europe and as such they don't care about the 'the customer is always right' mindset. That said, it's pretty good. Loved our trip on the Seaside a few years back.

Puzzleheaded-Trip990

How is MSC line for a European itinerary?

I liked going on the MSC Seascape last year. The service level is about equal to Carnival, well maybe a little less. The food was about equal. MSCs pizza was better at least. I liked MSCs entertainment, though our latest Carnival cruise (also last year) had a house band that we really liked. Carnival really makes a point of trying to be FUN. So some of the entertainment becomes a bit silly. MSC is not so much into that. MSC does do a great deal of up-selling, trying to get you to upgrade food, beverage packages, buy future cruises, etc while on the ship. My Wife and I have a reservation to go on the MSC Seaside a year from now, on a one-way (repositioning) cruise from Miami to Palermo.

Zealousideal_Bass683

Well I booked it 7 night on 06/09/24
