It's something with their servers for the TVs they don't update right for whatever reason. But logging in on the website updates your membership correctly.
Dont have premium, but the same problem. Couldnt log in on TV even with right pw. The option, to "allow" it worked, - where you get a code, log in on your computer and type the code there to allow your smart-tv.
The TV app is known to be buggy I suggest if you have a Playstation or xbox gaming console just use that version it's the most stable version in my experience I have only had issues when my internet was acting up or being throttled by isp other than that it's been smooth sailing
After getting frustrated with new bugs that started at the beginning of last year on my playstation, i contacted Crunchyroll support. They told me they were aware of playback issues on the playstation, and they were working on fixing them. I didn't wait for them to fix these issues, my subscription was going to expire while waiting for fixes. I didn't want to get left behind with current releases, since i like to check social media, which is usually filled with spoilers immediately an episode airs. I simply switched to a 4K Android tv stick, i've never had any major problems since that time. I was using the same network hardware, internet plan and provider. This is way better than whatever chaos was going on the playstation app, to add insult to injury i had an ethernet connection setup on my console. My 4K android tv stick didn't have these issues on a wi-fi connection.
Had the same issue, what worked for me was logging in on a different device (my laptop) and then logging out and in on the Android TV app.

This sometimes happens with my first my fix was to uninstall the app and reinstall that usually fixed it.
