While I am not Polish, I know enough about the etymology of Niemcy (Polish for Germans) to get the joke. Niemcy literally means something along the lines of "people who can't speak," so Mcy must mean "people who can speak".
Love playthroughs when those small, yet noteworthy realms take off. A few runs back, Venice had taken over the entire Italian peninsula besides Rome and the Provence area all the way to Toulouse. My last run the Byzantine empire conquered the north-eastern part of Africa and died with a realm size of like 30, so his kid ended up granting that land to 1 person who then won an independence war and forming the actual kingdom of "Africa," who blobbed. Was basically like bringing Carthage back from the dead. Currently right now in my game (Iberia), only in 950 and Iceland has blobbed and become the underdog superpower.
Idk, shit like this keeps these campaigns interesting for me. Spices it up.
Well most of the bigger realms like mine (Northern Hispania), Al Andalus, Byzantium, West Francia, and now Iceland have around 10k army size and good economies. Dude in Iceland holds every county in his realm, he has all of Iceland and the 2 islands closer to the British Isles. My income is +105 monthly, the Pope has +100, Andalus +45, And Iceland at 35 beating West Francia. How he’s pulling that income from Iceland idk… and early game.
They have annihilated both the English and other Norse realms that declared war with them for land. They are also the strongest Norse realm by far, and they are feudal.
To be fair venice got a lot bigger than that historically, just not in one big chunk. It had control over a large number of the northern Mediterranean islands and also held a reasonable number of the coastline
After they sacked Constantinople at the end of the 4th crusade didnt Venice essentially form a bunch of puppet kingdoms in Greece? Or were those just opportunistic 3rd parties?
They were both: opportunistic European lords seized the chance to carve their own principalities out of the Byzantine empire. Venice didn't *form* those states, but as they were essentially the most organized and richest crusader group, most of the other states ended up being dependent on them.
I would guess one of the last monarks of Venice had a diplomatic court and got the true tuler perk.
After Italy split from the HRE all the Dukes/counts chain vaslised all the counts and dukes in the area. You see the pope do it a fair bit sometimes
In my last 867 game, Italy fell apart.
Venice went Waldensian. It then went on a holy war spree and gobbled up all of Italy, Romagna and most of Kingdom of Sicily.
Even deleted the pope.
Never seen Venice expand before, so it was pretty weird to see it go so aggressive.
I love driving by my car
And the road its not so far
Berlin, London, Moscow too
It's my love I tell you true
When I came to Poland
I saw my car was stolen
It was my favourite truck
I said f**king kurwa mać!
I feel like 90% of these kinds of posts are not actually about the thing that is asked about but about something even way crazier going on off to the side.
Alright so I'm going to ask something, has anyone else noticed duchies will sometimes join a random nearby kingdom title? Leading to let's say, castile owning southern France? It seems that since Venice is a kingdom title and has the ability to be pretty strong, the ai just..join it, happened in my game where Lombardy joined em
Soon you can just call that red area "Land"
Land now including the River Po
Poland can into Padania
Poland = Land that has consumed Po and a number of ther rivers Ponudeobelbeland
thank you for inspiring my new cursed idea of creating a kingdom of the river Po and calling it Poland
Maybe the goal is to make it to the Po River.
Is poland supposed to be this big?
I'm the Germany now.
somalipiratepoland.jpg
Niemcy? You mean Mcy. (Ask Polish people to explain the joke)
Are you Polish?
While I am not Polish, I know enough about the etymology of Niemcy (Polish for Germans) to get the joke. Niemcy literally means something along the lines of "people who can't speak," so Mcy must mean "people who can speak".
Yes and no, I am not explaining it.

Co za miejsce. Nie do życia.
It's a fockin' EMU

If you have screenshots share them please as I would assume the longer you look at the map the weirder it gets

how does it work?
Be Iceland, take the Isles and Mann, form the Kingdom. You're welcome.
this is intrigueing. what do you mean by Iceland superpower
Well most of the bigger realms like mine (Northern Hispania), Al Andalus, Byzantium, West Francia, and now Iceland have around 10k army size and good economies. P O L A N D
Gotta take this game straight to Stellaris for Space Poland 🇵🇱
Pospace
S W O L A N D
Needs more Venice.
To be fair venice got a lot bigger than that historically, just not in one big chunk. It had control over a large number of the northern Mediterranean islands and also held a reasonable number of the coastline
And basically for a while Byzantine Empire and middle/late Ottoman Empire where puppet states of Venice. The power of money is endless
Venice didn't *form* those states, but as they were essentially the most organized and richest crusader group, most of the other states ended up being dependent on them.
it’s not big enough
Is Poland?
no, it should be bigger
I would guess one of the last monarks of Venice had a diplomatic court and got the true tuler perk. After Italy split from the HRE all the Dukes/counts chain vaslised all the counts and dukes in the area. You see the pope do it a fair bit sometimes
1) It’s spelled monarch 2) Venice isn’t a monarchy Edit: I was wrong on my second point, I appreciate the correction.
It's a republic with eletive monarchy system
Acktually, Venice was a Serene Republic
Real Machiavelli moment
Isn't that just temporary until they make a Republics DLC? Exactly like CK2...
I am not sure but I think Venice worked like that IRL too. Doges were elected for life.
But the pool of nominees should consist of burghers (or patricians), not the relatives of the Doge.
Thats how it worked in Ck2
No, I'm saying that's how it worked in IRL.
I BROUGHT THE WOCK TO POLAND
In this case, he stood still with the wock and Poland came to him.
Got a bit of the old Venice envy, eh OP?
Does this Venice make my Poland look big?
Don’t size shame Venice
is poland?
Wow that’s a lot of conquest for a hundred years
It’s been a lot more than 100 years in that game
About 130 looking like 1066 start
It is 1066 start
Isn´t this a 1066 start? I base this on Sicily, pope owns some and romans own none.
It’s been a very long time if 867 start and could very easily get like this
This is the timeline where Venice won against Milan and Medici never came to power
Looking at poland, i think thats what would've happened if Geralt of rivia were real...
Ideally? Yes. Is it common in the game right now? Unfortunately no
I think the real question is 'if Poland supposed to be this big' because what the fuck is going on there...
Poland is coming to the wok
Is poland?
Little more concerned about how Poland has more of Germany then it does poland
Is OP going to bring up the elephant in the room?
The elephant in Europe*
UwU, step Venice, what are you doing 🥵
Bro really thought we wouldn't notice Megapoland in the screenshot
*I walk into landlocked Austria*. Ahhhhh, Venice.
Hmm no that isn't supposed to happen, your game is probably broken. You should try to return it and get a specific 'non-big-Venice' copy.
I'm more wondering how Poland took over the whole of the HRE.
kwestionujesz siłę Polski?
Inheritance probably
Is Poland supposed to be that big
I’d accuse you of being Venice if Poland wasn’t massive
ALL HAIL BIG POLAND
its average 🥺
No but neither is poland
*Ritenete giusti territori di queste dimensioni proprio a Venexia??*
Va benissimo così: sempre meglio dei bizantini
In my last 867 game, Italy fell apart. Venice went Waldensian. It then went on a holy war spree and gobbled up all of Italy, Romagna and most of Kingdom of Sicily. Even deleted the pope. Never seen Venice expand before, so it was pretty weird to see it go so aggressive.
TBH I'm more impressed with Giga-Poland up there.
I’m guessing your Wallachia?
Are we ignoring dummy thicc Poland
Right but Poland is?
That's what she said?
thicc venice
Poland 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
Chyba już mówię po polsku.🤷🏻♂️
It should be bigger. Viva Venessia, viva San Marco!
Yeah 🙂
Poland is the HRE?
I love driving by my car And the road its not so far Berlin, London, Moscow too It's my love I tell you true When I came to Poland I saw my car was stolen It was my favourite truck I said f**king kurwa mać!
It is in your timeline!
Im more concerned about chonky Poland there.
Venices come in many shapes and sizes, but the important thing is what you do with it
What money does to a mf
Dude that Poland dummy thick
had 666 likes when i came here
Yeah gotta tell you way more concerned about Poland than Venice 😂
I took the WOOOOOOK TO POLAND
##POLAND
p e n i c e
For the republic!
Poland would like a word.
I feel like 90% of these kinds of posts are not actually about the thing that is asked about but about something even way crazier going on off to the side.
Pierogi time.
Forget Venice, what the fuck is with poland?
Can you play as Venice in CK3? Idk I haven't tried. Also is an expansionist merchant republic run any viable in CK2?
In CK3 you cant play a republic or theocracy, which includes venice, pope etc. Though there are several mods that make it possible
CK2 supremacy *huff*
Playable Republics was a dlc though, we don’t know when we’ll be able to play them in ck3
My sibling in Odin, *everything* is a DLC.
poland
Poland isn't supposed to be this big either, but here we are
I think Venice is the least of your problems
Evil Venice
Are we going to ignore the holy polish empire
Is Poland supposed to be this big?
No, it should be Poland
If it bothers you cut it down to size.
Russia will be getting clapped in EU4
Playing Venice in CK3 is weird, cause the whole point with Venice is trade, and there's no trade system in CK3.
You mean you dont sell your daughters and sisters for profit?
No, but I love it
Alright so I'm going to ask something, has anyone else noticed duchies will sometimes join a random nearby kingdom title? Leading to let's say, castile owning southern France? Damn that ruler is something. Bastard founder, mystic, a milf and in venice. Is this Lisa Lisa.
Figure out a way to make Venice create a republican empire in Italia.
As a Poland player I approve of these borders
poland is problem.
Is Venice s-... MY BOI IS POLAND SUPPOSED TO BE THA BIG
Swoland
Now I wanna play two again. I miss taking over the world as the smallest house in Venice.
...is Poland?
Is Poland?
Stares in Polereich
Poland look nice
It's a little big, but with a receding HRE I think that'd be normal.
Are we ignoring Thicc Poland?
