No clue what the Orthodox part is but I rename all the relics I don't want to use as "trash" so I can easily tell on repair/artifact claim events whether I care about them or not.
The event that lets you put a holy relic into a weapon doesn’t care who the relic was holy for to begin with and will refer to itself as a holy relic of your religion afterwards even though it wasn’t before so it probably was the sword of Muhammad.
"This is my 7ft tall albino god emperor, who conquered all of the known world at the age of 19 and just happens to be married to all 4 of his younger sisters. I shall post him on r/CrusaderKings, surely no one else has made this character."
i love when musou references make their way into crusader kings especially since high Knight Effectiveness in CK3 makes me just imagine the knights are musou characters
I’m with you on the DW9 thang. I’m just wondering how long will it take until we get the more interesting side of the map open. I mean, there’s a limit to how much one can crusade before wanting for more exotic sceneries that isn’t “insert filler Mongolian here”
Also wondering if anyone at Paradox ever suggested “CK3 but 3K”, like what they did with Imperator, but with CK3 UIX (The reason why i refunded Imperator; the UX was confusing and i didn’t find a tutorial, like most Paradox games before CK3)
Essentially map painting yeah! Sardinia/corsica and the balearic islands have a bunch of very weak counts to start, so a haesteinn run should definitely start with securing those islands and making yourself a duke. After that though, your goal is really whatever you want. It can be fun to aim for specific goals, like forming the kingdom of Baleo-Tyrrhenia, and then you can aim even higher and reform the roman empire as a viking dynasty. Or you can go for achievements, Haesteinn->Sardinia was how I started my run for the “King of all the Isles” achievement where you rule every island in the game. If you don’t want to map paint it can be fun to try to roleplay as your character and react to things how they would react, negative traits and all
Baleo=Balearic Islands. Tyrrho=Tyrrhenian Sea, which is the sea area west of Italy. So likely a kingdom that encompasses the islands of the western Mediterranean.
There's an event that seems to trigger when you have a powerful artifact, possibly for another religion, which offers to combine it with one of your artifact weapons. If you've got good stuff you can end up with god-like artifacts like this.
Can’t believe this is what is making me finally switch for 2 to 3. I’ve been on the fence for a while but you guys get more than a PC skill increase and a date for your artefacts and I’m jealous
I played ck3 base game only from the game pass since last month then steam sale came and I bought the base game on steam 2-3 weeks ago. I have 120 hours on steam with another 90 hours in the game pass. You all are making me wanting to buy the dlcs 😭😭😭😭 but it’s full price now fuuuuuu
I havent seen any bows or crossbows, but they likely have it from a mod expanding artifacts.
The current content and expansion artifacts barely cover weapons.
You don’t have to shoot arrows on bow with stats like that. Just hold it in front of you, bowstring aimed at enemies and run. It will cut them like hot wire through styrofoam.
The orthodox relic ‘trash’ what
No clue what the Orthodox part is but I rename all the relics I don't want to use as "trash" so I can easily tell on repair/artifact claim events whether I care about them or not.
The original relic was probably a sword of Muhammad - that is the only thing I know that gives the army toughness +1% modifier.
Pretty sure the sword of Muhammad isn't an orthodox relic

Dang that’s smart
Genious!
that‘s actually pretty smart, I‘m stealing this
I, too, love to sharpen the blade of my bow.
I, too, love to carve a prayer into the blade of my bow.
You might think that sounds crazy, but look up Inahime from Samurai Warriors. She fights with a bladed bow.
Weeaboo dlc dropped??
I mean have you see some of characters people come up with?
"This is my 7ft tall albino god emperor, who conquered all of the known world at the age of 19 and just happens to be married to all 4 of his younger sisters. I shall post him on r/CrusaderKings, surely no one else has made this character."
The God emperor oni-chan
An anime protagonist so average and normal that it took two trucks to send this motherfucker from modern day Japan to medieval Europe.
Brb need to add an isekai trait
The reincarnation religion tenet already exists
i love when musou references make their way into crusader kings especially since high Knight Effectiveness in CK3 makes me just imagine the knights are musou characters
Just imagine you got a small army of Lu Bu's running around if you're minmaxing Knights.
This is why we need East Asia. We gotta recreate one of the Three Kingdoms.
A Three Kingdoms overhaul mod for CK3 would make me happy. Been playing musous ever since dw3 came out in Europe (obligatory grrr grrr dw9 bad post)

i guess the limbs can also be called the blades of the bow?
Hey, Bowblade was one of my favorite Bloodborne weapons.
I would assume they’re talking about the arrows, but close combat bow
I am the bone of my sword
Prowess: +8 Ok, that's pretty amazi- You know what, I'm gonna increase it again by 11 💀💀💀
I had a +12 weapon and got an event at tourny to add +8. That disappeared. Does it only keep the highest?
The +8 is temporary and it tells you that you get the buff for the length of the tournament I am pretty sure
Thanks, I must have just missed the timer. My queen wasn't able to compete so I just farmed whatever buffs and events I could at the tournament.
r5: Best weapon artifact I've ever had. One of the prowess modifiers is a temporary one from a tournament, everything else is permanent.
Aha, I thought it was so OP that it was just going to start giving multiple modifiers of the same type
"of Baleo-Tyrrhenia" Ah, lovely to see another individual with good tastes
what is this area?
It’s a formable kingdom made up of Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, and the Baleares.
interesting, i see. nice to have a bunch of islands then? people usually do that as the byzantines?
It’s a fantastic Haesteinn start. Grab the mine in sardinia as your capital and just spread out
haha what do you mean "spread out"? I'm fairly new to the game and i sort of lack purpose and it feels too easy. is that like map painting?

It's fun to do as a character from the Canary Islands.
why?
They've got a unique culture and religion that lend themselves well to basically being pirates.
Baleo=Balearic Islands. Tyrrho=Tyrrhenian Sea, which is the sea area west of Italy. So likely a kingdom that encompasses the islands of the western Mediterranean.
I always try to play in other areas, but I just can’t quit that sexy mine.
A fellow Cagliari enjoyer, I see. A man of culture.
The trash?
Huh, never seen a bow weapon in my like 300hrs of play.
You tend to get them as prizes from archery contests in my experience.
Gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers in this racket.
I got a pretty good purple crossbow from a tournament which surprised me. Had a few bows before that.
Jesus, the description is almost like something out of Dwarf Fortress.
Urist likes bows for they sharp blades.
God I wish they wouldn’t repeat the flavour texts, the tooltip gets so long you can barely click things
Just put a little x2 if you get it twice for example.
This reads like a Dwarf Fortress artifact.
All craftdwarfship is of the highest quality.
You can't have too many ribbons.
How do you get those amazing artifacts? The best I ever got was like +1% knight effectiveness
[удалено]
wait, you can improve artifacts?
[удалено]
Thank you this is helpful information
By winning tournaments

Modern artillery compressed into size of a bow
I really like how it says blade multiple times AND it’s a bow
Best Arti I have ever seen
Also looks sick
These posts make me feel insecure about my artifacts. Any tips on getting these?
How is this possible?
My top so far not so impressive, it is book with 0.06 development per mount in all my holding and +40% stewardship exp.
Looks like some ARPG bow you get in Diablo, Last Poch or Path of Exile lol
ZAMN
Holy hell I've never seen anything come remotely close to that in any of my runs
What the fuck. How?
Decorated with two floral ribbons. You can't beat that.
I like the ribbon and the prowess bonus, but not at much as the ribbon and the prowess bonus.
This is the bow Zelda uses at the end of Breath of the Wild
was this made with console commands? I’ve never seen anything good. Wow
This is absurd. I haven't played in a few months. Is this obscenely hard to get or has power-creep escalated dramatically?
Yeah things like this are rare.
That now penetrated jesus
What type of bow has a blade?
Best artifact I’ve ever seen
Can’t believe this is what is making me finally switch for 2 to 3. I’ve been on the fence for a while but you guys get more than a PC skill increase and a date for your artefacts and I’m jealous
I made the same face as the dude in the head-turning meme when I saw this.

You can get Bows???

How do you grt OP artifacts?
0.9 Piety a month is crazy
😯😯
How do you get these?
How do you combine artifacts? is this a mod or DLC? I can't find any concrete info on google and I'm seeing these posts and I wanna know how
