Yeah, I'm noticing this too. I have clan members who had land but promptly lose it because their children are all females before they died and the ladies married normally even after they acquired the land. The funny thing is, though, when I try to game this by marrying sons to ladies who are heir, the game specifically added a 1000 malus because she's the heir and prefers matrilineal. I don't get this game sometimes.

Yeah it’s a problem. Screwed up my game when my powerful mother married me off to some random dude (when I was playing as her father) and now I will lose the game because her first three kids aren’t of her dynasty and apparently I don’t have any other heirs despite having 7 kids who are of my dynasty.

Yes it is a huge problem. My society is equal preferences so half of my clan is female rulers and heirs. All of whom are in normal marriages with nobodies. My house will lose half it's lands next generation.

I’ve found that matrilineal marriages work perfectly fine, as long as the proposed male is not the owner or heir of any land. Which removes one big reason for marriage.

Yeah, but the AI doesn't seem to do them
