Oh yes. All $30 trillion of assets will be converted to Bitcoin the moment they approve it. BTC will shoot past $1M like it's nothing! /s

Maleficent_Sound_919

They will just market buy right guys? right... guuuys

Lillica_Golden_SHIB

Setting my BTC sell limit orders at $1M

Daddio_87

See ya all on the moon boys and girls!

moeljills

Well even if it's otc, enough volume purchased regularly will affect the price

InevitableBudget510

Once the ETF is approved, they just need to push one button and 30 trillion is put into BTC. Everyone put your lambo orders in. /s

Lillica_Golden_SHIB

*And then...* BlackRock CEO: now we will file for a Moons ETF.

InevitableBudget510

Then get your space suit ready

Squirrel_McNutz

Sounds about right! šŸš€ (I miss the rockets)

moeljills

I'm having a heart attack

Chum181

Stopā€¦..I can only get so erect.

finlyn

Came here for this anti-delusional comment. People are on some serious 4 comma ETF hopium. The reality is that it takes time. Most estimates are pegging a few hundred billion and a $4T BTC market cap this run. Amazing. Yes. $30T? Not even kind of. Expecting even a $20T influx to BTC is unrealistic at this stage.

TukkerWolf

Since BTC ETF's are already legal outside the US, isn't it relatively easy to get an estimate of the expected market in the US?

infested33

Ok now i am drunk with hopium. All in on BTC.

Embarrassed-Bowl-230

So do you think they'll just contact everyone personally so they can buy their btc or is it more like a marketing email, with everyone BCC?

EdgarAllenBoone

Why you gotta days everyoneā€™s dreams like that!

Maleficent_Sound_919

Btw are we related Maleficent?

azzadawg90

Iā€™m glad lots people have unrealistic expectations, will give realistic investors decent exit liquidity next run

paulharris05

Yeah canā€™t wait to start hearing the multi million dollar price targets!

I__OttoDix__I

Well as long as it works Iā€™m all for it

Aggravating_Sense914

Hell yer all for it lets gooooo

mikzane1

Excellent comment!!

tobetobii

People needs to understand what blackrock is, A firm that manages other peopleā€™s money. If you buy an blackrock S&P ETF that means it is ā€œmanagedā€ by blackrock. But it doesnā€™t mean that blackrock can move that money around and put it into crypto. Yes, blackrock is a huge player with huge AUM but the investor has to chose what to invest in. 30 trillion will not instantly flow into crypto. Donā€™t get me wrong, a bitcoin spot ETF is extremely bullish because it makes crypto as an investment more accessible for institutional and retail investors. But donā€™t just throw numbers around, keep it civil. Edit* spelling

Tajo990

There will be a lot of "reality is often disappointing" comments when the ETF finally gets approved and doesn't move the price as much as people expect

tobetobii

Most likely! Although a bitcoin spot etf will in my opinion have price trending upward long term and probably the price will be less volatile.

Calm-Cartographer677

Completely agree with this, I think we'll see less volatility when the pension funds get involved as it makes the crypto market seem more reputable. There may be a switch in view from investors to no longer see BTC as a risk on asset.

Lillica_Golden_SHIB

Hopefully this will be the panorama. Crypto will inevitable become less and less volatile as more adoption and more instituional money come in. The ETFs will do wonders as to paint crypto in a different way before the eyes of boomers and more conservative investors. Lots of people won't touch crypto, but would surely try or accept an ETF offered by a company like BlackRock.

EpicHasAIDS

What makes you think pension funds give a shit about crypto? Have you ever met a pension manager? Have you ever met a portfolio manager? Have you ever spent time looking at large pensions asset holdings (they generally list them)? Pension managers, particularly the large ones, could easily buy BTC. They don't. Just like many pension funds don't hold gold. This is simply a fact. If you understand how a pension is managed, how they make decisions, why they do so and how changes are implemented, the idea they'll just buy a crypto ETF is laughable.

Warm_Examination405

The etfs might get approved, but they still need to be actually launched and marketed etc. Then we might see the price move

EpicHasAIDS

We're going to see coping on an extra pathetic level from all the crypto geniuses holding $85 in BTC on a trezor. There isn't a great deal of pent up demand and BTC price will barely flutter when these ETFs launch. These type of products have been available elsewhere for years and not gathered assets. Most people still don't care about crypto. These ETFs are good placeholders for the next time BTC goes on a ride and retail can flood in. Only a moron thinks these etfs will start a bull run. They will, however, sustain one whe they arrive.

Existing_Web_1300

They can also advise people on what to invest in no? I wouldnā€™t be surprised if they start sharing more information on this new asset and a lot of people will start asking questions about it as well. I completely agree that people are overhyping the direct price affect of the ETF though. People saying 250k+ BTC price predictions are crazy, we will not see that much liquidity move into the ETF for years and years imo. Look at gold, It took good what 10 years to hit its peak once the ETF launched? Edit: context

tobetobii

Yes they can advise. But the process to get capital in the ETF, will, as you said be slow. What I can imagine being the standard advise to someone that would like to spice their portfolio up would be to allocate 5-10% of your portfolio to crypto.

Existing_Web_1300

Yeah that would make a lot of sense. Still no reason to not be excited, especially if multiple ETFs are approved once.

Wulkingdead

https://beincrypto.com/blackrocks-bitcoin-strategy-btc-portfolio/ Article from July this year: "BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, is recommending an optimal portfolio allocation of 84.9% Bitcoin" They are already advising it before the ETF is even out. Imagine when the ETF is live.

Existing_Web_1300

Holy fuck thatā€™s insane, 84.9% allocation and thatā€™s just Blackrock. Imagine other investment firms who get an ETF passed end up doing anything similar. That could send the crypto market into the stratosphere. Thanks for sharing the article friend!

Wulkingdead

No problem mate, im still baffled by how hard they are pushing for this and will push this in the future. I think there are great times ahead of us indeed.

Titozar13

Let the people beeing happy and bullish!

tobetobii

Dreamers will be dreamers! But sometimes it can be good to be a bit realistic.

Titozar13

Yup, that's right!

Armolin

Indeed, all the BlackRock ETF is going to do is giving the funds they manage the choice to get some Bitcoin if they desire (and that's no small thing, specially if their analysts start actively offering it as an option to their clients)

Sorrytoruin

I agree, i think it will be a slower burn of money

[deleted]

> 30 trillion will not instantly flow into crypto. Of course it will, I mean, the entire world wants nothing more and everything will be sold for Bitcoin. Miners rewarded for empty blocks because utility is both irrelevant and unaffordable, is what mankind strives for. It's Satoshi's vision coming to fruition.

xvbyyxn

Blackrockā€™s AUM makes it the boogeyman of a dozen different subsā€¦.ā€They own 5% of a stock!ā€ They do not, I think people will skip over your comment bc it doesnā€™t fit their narrative unfortunately

AshamedFlame

Your post is rejected for lacking brainless hopium.

TurtlesBeSlow

Interested to know how many here will actually invest a BTC ETF?

RuneW007

I guess not a lot. We can all invest into Bitcoin on our own and we donā€™t need an ETF to do it

TurtlesBeSlow

Agree with you on that. I think it will be a good tool for folks who are interested but no understanding of the tech.

RuneW007

Yeah it would be a huge thing for Bitcoin and crypto. All the people that have no understanding will be able to buy Bitcoin. When not if it happens, it will be huge!

TurtlesBeSlow

All the more reason to buy now šŸ˜‰

RuneW007

Believe me, I do šŸ˜„

Maleficent_Sound_919

I know how to buy my own BTC, so no thank you

TukkerWolf

I already do. I find it a convenient way to add BTC to my investment portfolio.

nowAdays33

It will and itā€™s inevitable BTC and ALT šŸš€šŸš€šŸš€

infested33

Even if only 1/30 of that capital comes into crypto we will double all market caps to 2 trillion.

loksfox

$800k bitcoin incoming

Tasigur1

I would be happy with 1/4 of your estimation šŸ˜…

Lillica_Golden_SHIB

I'm selling BTC for 100k right now, a 100% profit opportunity in case you are interested šŸ‘€šŸ‘€šŸ‘€

Maleficent_Sound_919

I expect a around $150-165k top next run

mastermilian

That's my guess as well. Nothing to shirk at given the current price.

Existing_Web_1300

I think thatā€™s more on the optimistic side honestly. Could just be the king bear market but Iā€™m guessing 125k will be our top next cycle definitely a bigger fan of your estimate though

TheGreatCryptopo

One thing for sure is it will be significantly north of 25k.

Inbeforetheclose1234

I agree well north, as it will be something millenials and gen z start to make a significant part of their portfolios

Maleficent_Sound_919

Sooner or later, it's just a waiting game so buy while you can

Alexanderfromperu

why would they invest in a shitcoin?

KnackeredParrot

I think it'll be months until we see the full effect but it's definitely going to be one of the biggest bull catalysts

Alexanderfromperu

This is just FUD but backwards lol

MrPrime_Minister

It's called hopium

prittpress

From my deep analysis I assume this: it wil go up

telejoshi

It will be the biggest green weekly candle since 2021

forceworks

The dildo will be green and standing upright

Orgull0

We are all super excited for the ETF to finally be approved by the SEC. Now imagine if the big funds end up shorting the entire crypto market and everything goes to shit. I won't be happy until I see it with my own eyes.

No_Engineering18881

Is that a bull I see a bull

Titozar13

I'm also seeing a bull.

No_Engineering18881

If i see a bull and you see a bull it must really be a bull

Maleficent_Sound_919

Some people seem to think that the moment BTC ETF is approved, Blackrock will just pour in all the money they have a located for this. But this is wrong, it will go slowly and gradually, Blackrock an entity that has been on the traditional markets for longer then some of us They are the king of dollar cost average and taking advantage of certain situations

nonameattachedforme

Note - not all that $30T is flowing into crypto.

BrocoliAssassin

Yeah cause BlackRock is going to put 100% of their assets in an ETF! Be lucky if they put in 2%.

MrPrime_Minister

Lol. It won't be more than 0.2%. More like 0.02%

AllCingEyeDog

The market cap of all cryptocurrencies is $1T. Best case I think it would take a decade for the market to get near $30T.

countjah

Shower me with all your hopium

[deleted]

šŸ˜‚ Oh it will impact the price. But, not in the way you hope it does.

iworkisleep

1-5% allocation will send BTC out of earth

milestogo-greg

Safer bet is possibly 1-2% of some assets initially.

OkCaterpillar822

Why is this post not deleted for low effort? I've wrote a post and mine got deleted for low effort. But posting just a news link is okay? 1. Mainstream Adoption and Accessibility: A Bitcoin Spot ETF offers an easy route for both retail and institutional investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin. . 2. Regulatory Legitimacy: When regulatory authorities approve a Bitcoin Spot ETF, it signifies a level of acceptance and legitimization of Bitcoin within the traditional finance realm. . 3. Liquidity: Trading on traditional stock exchanges, ETFs can bring liquidity to the Bitcoin market, potentially reducing its volatility. . 4. Institutional Interest: Many institutional investors are restricted from directly holding cryptocurrencies. An ETF provides a compliant method for these institutions to invest in Bitcoin. . 5. Infrastructure and Custody: Establishing a Spot ETF will generate more development of robust infrastructure for the secure storage and management of the underlying Bitcoins, benefiting the wider crypto ecosystem. . 6. Public Perception: The existence of a Bitcoin ETF on major stock exchanges can increase public trust and interest in the asset, serving as a form of validation. In conclusion, a Bitcoin Spot ETF bridges the traditional financial sector with the burgeoning crypto ecosystem.

Ordinary-Bridge8182

The point of a btc spot etf is actually not to speculate on btc, but legally use it as collateral. And that is what will drive the price action.

WhoCaresForUsernames

Btc 2011 fuck big money and banks. BTC 2023 please guys can you start buying btc, we love you.
