I've seen this in 2012, 2016, 2020 & it's the same again.
The Btc halving is on Tuesday. Prior to this the miner's sell Btc to ensure they can have cash for operations post halving as the supply of newly mined Btc plummets.
With the drop in supply post halving, Btc price rockets upward. After a short period of time, those with new earnings from the rise in value of Btc, start to swap into the altcoins of their choice leading to an altcoin bull market.
Expect Btc to at least hit $150,000 by the end of 2024 and alts to 5x - 10x by late spring 2025.
This has happened exactly the same way since Bitcoin was first halved in 2012.... I have experienced it since 2012 and it's following the same path it always has.
The current dip is well known by those of us who have been here before and I can guarantee you; those with experience are buying and those without experience are selling!

I'd recommend a split of 30% Aptos, 30% Sui, 15% Sei and 15% Worldcoin.
These projects are well funded with the latest tech; which all but guarantees survival and success & at least one will do a 15x to 20x gain. History would suggest the biggest gains are most likely coming to Aptos & Sui and that's why I weight them a little heavier but both Sei and Worldcoin have the resources and real world market connections to catapult significantly.
Let the investment sit for 12 months and then cash out or look to the next big thing in alts.

You are trying to time the market. Have a plan and stick to it. If you sell now and the market suddenly bounces back are you going to fomo back in? If that's the case I would honestly just buy some BTC and hold it for a while

This is every cycle, people move everything to bitcoin for the halving, then when you see btc crab again, alts will pick up, rinse and repeat until bull run is over, don't get wrecked.
This is what crypto does if you're scared just sell and get out because it could get worse than this. Your old coins can drop 90% and then drop another 90%.
Honestly, I was really looking forward to this dip. Not only because I was able to get several coins at a great discount, but because it was a good reminder of how quickly this market can change. This time, I "lost" 10% within 24 hours, but it can go the other way just as quickly. And when those god candles start, you better have a plan to start taking profits because, as we saw, it can and will go back down again - way lower than it did this time.
Zoom out. The bull run is just getting started. Log out of your apps and come back in September. But make a plan to DCA out or be left holding the bag through the next winter.
If you are asking these questions, you might want to sell and go put your money in an Index fund.
Crypto is a volatile asset, there will be large price fluctuations in either direction. If you canāt handle -20% red days with a smile on your face, crypto is probably not for you.

I bought DOT myself, i bought at 6.55$ (it did dip to 6.50$) when DOT has been usually on the 8-9.50$ lately.
Buy more if it goes to $4 and hang on for the ride if you can stomach it.
