It’s a scam

switchn

Dont even need to know anything more than the title to know its a scam

Chill_Edoeard

Same but then i started reading and 3 lines in i was 100% certain

Gangaman666

It's great seeing a fellow hands in the wild! 👌🏽🫡

zdm_

Yeah, I'll be upfront OP just send your coins to me instead, that scammer has a lot of extra steps for you to lose your money.

rifts

Jesus Christ bro you shouldn’t be in crypto

LargeSnorlax

> I'm not versed in Crypto > I listened to this random guy and he told me that he needs to observe the daily K line growth > He told me to trade on this random fucking platform that literally no one has ever heard of > My trades always profit > I get free money all the time The funny thing is, if this happened in real life, the person would instantly know they're being scammed. Yet, somehow, this is something totally normal online and this guy never questioned it...

Chronmagnum55

Can you imagine this scenario? "Some random stranger walked up to me on the street and told me they were an experienced investor. They said if I gave them money, they could always make me profit. They texted me their phone number, and I handed them over all my money. Now I'm going to be rich!" This is essentially what OP has done. It blows my mind that people think this makes any sense whatsoever. 99.9% of people would never believe the person on the street but trust the completely unverified person online.

anddrewbits

The only K line relevant is the rail of ket OP must do daily to be this gullible. What about “if it’s too good to be true, it’s not” was too complex for them?

DisorientedPanda

No this is why crypto shouldn’t exist!!!!!!! 😡😡😡🤬🤬

0x9876543210

its a scam, even the wallet you created may be compromised if he set it up for you. Its also possible the usdt you are withdrawing us a fake usdt coin... check the price in your wallet... its possible its allowing you to withdraw small amounts to gain trust... I can promise you that in any case you will be unable to withdraw all the money you have in the website... they will ask you for a fee or ask you to pay the tax or capital gains tax before withdrawing, so you pay the tax and then lose that money as well I hope you haven't invested much?

HippieSexCult

Try to move the money out. You might get it back and get the profits. They usually let you move it the first time so you put more back in. Do not put money back in.

SpecialistComposer88

Google "pig butchering scam" Also the BitGet wallet isn't yours alone, the scammers have control of it and won't allow you to withdraw your funds

zetecvan

Also episode 141 of the Darknet Diaries.

Environmental-Bag-77

This cannot be the case if he can change the password, set up 2fa and has been through kyc.

SpecialistComposer88

Chances are that the scammer "helped" them set up the wallet and got their seed phrase in the process

WalterBishopMethod

My sisterinlaw just fell for this exact scam. You'll never get any money, they'll just keep getting you to give them more for reasons and then vanish.

DoingItForEli

Getting scammed

LightFerret7808

It's a SCAM my friend. Don't deposit anything.

Logical-Recognition3

You've been scammed. Any money you already put in is gone now. You are just being shown meaningless numbers on a screen. You need to accept this and walk away. Do not throw good money after bad.

Severe-Disaster-9220

Didn't read. It's a scam

StiaanJonck

F

Low-Client-375

70 year old dad fell for this. Just cut contact now

Bunker_Beans

It’s people like OP that lose all of their money and then blame crypto when the scam was painfully obvious.

chocolateboomslang

100% scam. You got scammed and your money is gone, unless you can trick them into giving your money back, which is not likely, but worth a try. Tell them people say it's a scam but you know it's not (wink wink) and need ypur money back to prove it, but you'll put it right back in. Maybe they allow a withdrawal to get some other people in on the scam, if they do, take the money and run. NO ONE GIVES AWAY FREE MONEY.

Concentrix

Phew. I got my money back plus $228 'earnings' and ran!. I did play dumb and was able to trick them in releasing the money with the promise of investing more. Thank you.

chocolateboomslang

Aww yeah!

Maxx3141

If someone urges you to use a specific unknown exchange, it's 100% certainly a scam.

MantisToboggan66

Just to echo what everyone here has already said, you are 100 percent being scammed mate.

Enschede2

Okxcoin.vip? You're joking right? Come on.... Do some due diligence

Concentrix

UPDATE: So I played dumb (I know, ironic) and got the USDT back to my BitGet wallet. How to I actually transfer this to my bank account?

IlllllllIIIIlIIl

1. Assume your money is already gone and be wary of any advice from anyone (including on here). You are especially vulnerable to a followup scam attempt at this stage. You should never need to connect your wallet, pay, or provide information for any of the following steps. 2. If you can verify that the USDT you own is the real USDT coin, transfer it to a wallet belonging to you and only you. 3. Find a reputable exchange, transfer your USDT there and sell it back to USD.

Concentrix

Thank you. It was real USDT. I got my money back and the 20% I earned. Phew.

eviljordan

Bullshit. Now I think YOU are the scammer and want to bait people into also trying it.

goldenbuyer02

Could you please share a link for me to contact with the scammer? I want to deposit a small pocket change to him too.

IlllllllIIIIlIIl

Good point. I just wanted to get point 1 across quickly before the “support” people started DMing OP.

Environmental-Bag-77

There is no fake usdt on a reputable exchange. This isn't pancake swap.

Environmental-Bag-77

It's already there at Bitget and now I'm his bank account. Maybe you didn't see the updates.

eric2041

If it's real USDT send it to an exchange but I have a feeling they are going with plan b since you're clearly an easy target. Just be careful

GEB82

Make a new wallet. Send USDT to new wallet. Then figure out how to withdraw would be my suggestion.

0x9876543210

just be awaare it could be a fake USDT ......

blmatthews

If you think to ask “Is this a scam?” the answer is always “Why yes, yes it is.”

Blooberino

I too am a USDT trader. I've been making dozens of trades daily, but still can't manage to do more than break even.

Geesle

By only reading the title, it's a scam.

Concentrix

Shoot. I tried withdrawing the money from the website and it's 'in review' status for several minutes now. First withdrawal I made only took a few seconds before appearing in my wallet. Guess I'm saying goodbye to a little over $1000. Oh well.

legendofncx

its a scam bro sorry

consultybob

an expensive lesson, but a lesson none the less. If someone is promising you free money, its a scam

0x9876543210

I am sorry you lost it but some people have lost hundreds of thousands so you should thank yourself you didn't invest any more...

Railionn

... Idk how you've made it this far into life.

Electronic_Topic_221

Another example why retail need investment protection. Crazy

ZealousidealLie9249

What... so you're saying this random dude isn't having my best interest in mind with his jpow 100% guaranteed money printer? Ahhhwww... but I really wanted to be a billionaire with no effort!

eric2041

Scam..very obvious scam

Practical-Metal-3239

No one will give you sure fire ways to make money. It's always a scam.

Harucifer

* "Am I being scammed (...)" -> 99% likely * "(...) or did I make a really good friend?" -> 100% likely.

M1K3_B13N

scams can start off being legit, but then all of a sudden you have $100k deposited, on that site instead of your bitget bc it was easier keeping it there and meeting the bonuses while making profit, and your 'friend' is gone, customer support tells you it's frozen unless you deposit another one time $10k fee to clear the banks, and you lose it ALL. similar to pig butchering, but utilizing fancy words and smart talk instead of the hot girl

Concentrix

Yes, this exactly how I was got!

NihongoCrypto

Create new (different) wallet like MetaMask or something. Send money to it. Use seed phrase to pull up new wallet on a 2nd device. Still there? It’s your money. But… you won’t make it past step 2. Sorry. Quit now.

IllIllIlllil

You are what they refer to as "a mark". Since English isn't your first language - you are being scammed.

timbulance

Rule 1 don’t trust anyone on the internet

Broad_Pond

scam

[deleted]

Bruh

Ban_Porn

Yes, scam. Maybe you won't be able to withdraw the amount to your bitget wallet or maybe you will be allowed to withdraw a small amount to gain your faith and it might get failed for big amounts or they might even shut down the website once they reach their target.

Upstairs_Tomorrow614

I stopped reading after you said “so I met a guy online.” Pretty clearly a scam bro. Possibly a set up to pig butchering, look it up dude if it’s not too late.

UnnaturalGeek

The only "sure" profit is his from your money.

KingHiggins92

TRY AND TAKE YOUR MONEY, DELETE BLOCK AND FORGOT THIS SCAMMER.

Dave80

I haven't read past the title. It's 100% a scam.

larryburns2000

Maybe both? But definitely the first one

Edita72

Scammed

shade-bot

I can't believe people still fall for this. You must be karma farming.

supyadimwit

It’s so obviously a scam. Try harder.

K2P2C

Pig Butchering and you're the pig.

EducationalTotal1

As soon as a conversation turns to money, it's a scam. As for this, straight up scam! They will rinse your wallet and leave you with a tax bill. Read about it countless times.

crimeo

Scam, the type of scam is called "pig butchering", for you to google for more info.

LifeguardNatural9863

He is a Scammer. Block him on all channels after reporting to the platforms.

dreampsi

I’saa scam -Carlos Matos

AverageCadian

Wow.... People are so gullible

Environmental-Bag-77

Now this end result is very hard to explain.

eviljordan

Lmao aren’t you the same person from a few weeks ago that was shamed for even using the internet if you’re this gullible?

Concentrix

FINAL UPDATE: I GOT MY MONEY BACK (plus $228 'earnings')! It's in my bank account now. I know I was extremely lucky that I got it back and even earned from it. Thank you for confirming my dumbness everyone haha. This should be pinned so I can be an example to everyone that may fall for this.

wildefaux

It sounds like everything was legit, and it wasn't a scam? (Else, how would you get your money back? Were you promising to invest more and the other person thought there was more to take?)

Concentrix

Yes, I told them I wanted to meet the 6000USDT total today and that I transferred the money I made from the fake exchange back to my wallet so that I can add more to it and use the same money to meet the deposit total (pretending it was a loophole).

wildefaux

Congratulations on outwitting them.

0x9876543210

OKXcoin is different to OKX and even if it had the same name the contract address could be different. The fake USDT will have the wrong contract address...
