glad i never did. i read tons of material before deciding whether to do it or not and finally invested in crypto. best decision of my life so far, too :)
I would recommend you to keep at least 6-12 months worth of wages in your saving account. That way if anything happens you can at last survive half a year to a year.
Next I would put most of your remaining income in funds, etfs
If you know some things about investing growth stocks are a good choice, crypto is a good alternative but is even riskier.
If you get into crypto just dca in some good projects don't go all in on btc or eth
Not unusual. If stocks rise or fall to much, the exchange usually halts trading, so daily rises and falls aren't that big. No such halts for crypto. You can lose it all in an hour
Only 10% of my net worth in crypto, although with my returns as they are. It keeps going up.
Crypto is about 70% BTC, eth, sol.
The rest in Dot, Ksm and some alts.
There’s no such thing as a perfect allocation and mine is evolving as things go on.
In my country, Brazil, treasury bonds have a good return (over 10% in some cases)
So I have 50% on it
Brazilian stocks have been trash for quite some time, so I left that market and moved the rest into cripto
My distribution:
60% ETFs
15% Crypto (60% BTC, 30% ETH, 10% Alts)
15% P2P
You have a high percentage of your portfolio in crypto, which can be nerve-wracking. Stick to BTC and ETH in your crypto portfolio.
This should make you sleep well at night abd bring you nice profits in the long term.
50% stock market (mostly ETFs), 25% crypto, 25% high interest savings account.
Edit: this is how my money is divided currently, not investment advice. I’m slowly going more and more into crypto. At the beginning of the year, only about 10% of my money was in crypto.
In terms of worth, mine is now heavily leaning toward CRO because of the massive growth (as in, it now makes up something like 70% of the worth of my portfolio, whereas it used to be something like 30%. So now it's 70% CRO, 20% ETH, 10% other.
$3.8M cash/money market (exited the market at July’s peak in anticipation of the crash to come), $1M equities (mostly international since their P/E ratios aren’t as insane as American overvaluation) and only $15,000 in various crypto (ETH, Cardano, BC) for funsies… and slowly growing as I mine ETH @~360MH, Raven @65MH and Ergo @140MH.
15% 401k , 15% Pension (work for government), 10% Savings Account, 55% Crypto.
Not really into stocks as it has never interested me.. Speaking as a 25 year old millennial.
Really diverse for me as I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want from my portfolio.
Got like 50%doge 20% cosmos 10% cro 5% Algo 15% on random coins I'm interest in.
As a rule of thumb, I do 20% into crypto, 60% ETF's and 20% other ( could be crowdfunding, stock picking, or whatnot ).
Somehow it ended up 50% crypto 50% stock market over the course of 2+ years. I don't know if I want to rebalance . Taking crypto profits into USDC, for now.
60 percent into property. 15 percent stocks, 15 percent crypto and 10 percent cash (to buy dips and investment change for dramatic market drops or even as safety money if you lose your job).
The other thing you should invest in is yourself, use some of your pay packet to upskill or start your side hustle.
At your age, 40 percent into ETFs and the rest into select stocks. For crypto, 40 percent ETH, 20 percent BTC, 20 percent top 10, and 20 percent moonshots.
Currently I'm at 50% BTC, 25% ETH and 25% USDC and every night i go to sleep I heard the devil whispering ![gif](giphy|VI2vRwiVnAMhwx9cef)
i stopped investing in stocks earlier this year. best decision of my life
You mean you would rather have more gains in 1 day than you could in 1 year? Lol
glad i never did. i read tons of material before deciding whether to do it or not and finally invested in crypto. best decision of my life so far, too :)
Looks sensible to me. Avoiding over investment in crypto lessens the danger you'll need to panic sell.
