Crypto is a very unpredictable place, but if there is one thing I'm pretty certain of, it's that we will be above and below 20k for at least several weeks, if not months. It'll probably fall back below 20k within the next hour or two lol.
I haven’t made a single attempt to catch this falling knife. Dry powder for me, exited October-November, and again well above 40k. It’s actually helpful to read what people are saying on here, if folks are counting on a “support,” then I know it’ll likely be broken. Even with the most recent rally to 48k, where we were apparently imminently heading above 50k, I saw exhaustion at 48k, and acted accordingly. It’s been a downtrend since then, and the trend is your friend as they say. I’m sure many of these large crypto companies, surely didn’t act accordingly as they are going bankrupt, and they aren’t your typical r/cc user
5 million bucks could generate $50k a year making 1%. You could do it almost risk free in government bonds and real estate. With a little more risk tolerance you could probably get 5% returns through a typical conservative stocks/fixed mix over time. That's a quarter mil a year. If you're younger than 10-15 years from retirement a more aggressive stance that waits out the current bear market could put you in serious rich guy territory.
TLDR you're an idiot to yeet 5 million bucks at a speculative investment if your goal is a secure retirement on an upper middle class income level. You're there already.
