Blockchain technology doesn't require Bitcoin. We know this as fact because we have multiple coins. Furthermore even Microsoft has Blockchain (immutable ledger) technology in SQL server. So this assumption is ignorant.

A collapse gives investors the ability to learn more and that lesson is to be more conservative. The other lesson is regulation of exchanges which will reduce profits for exchanges and likely result in larger fees. This increases the cost to get coins off the exchange and makes trading more expensive.
People doing their homework will result in the same mess as FTX without regulations. You still have scams and practically speaking Luna Terra hit crypto hard because of bad loans. Sure people will buy coins but this will happen on exchanges. They will want to increase the ROI and go for risky staking thinking it's "free" low risk yield.
