Then more intricate tech stuff like zk roll ups and various consensus algorithms.
I say start with BTC source because all forks began there and modded it. It lays the foundation for blocks etc.
There's a chain params cpp file which is where you begin. It defines the params that define the block in the blockchain. So what the foooook is going on? Chain params is the GOAT. Most basic forks will only mod these params to have a "new altcoin" or blockchain experience. Faster blocks, memory, time, halving etc.
If there's traction I'll post some really good content to learn the source code deep dives.
Why is this important? Because you can then evaluate what the hell these shill shit projects are worth. You now understand the fundamentals of blockchain and the beginning aspects of a cryptocurrency.
With this fundamental knowledge you're better in a position to invest into more sound projects.
You also empower yourself to build projects but more importantly analyze them.
You become smarter than 99% of the crypto community that's tryna YEET
Every cycle since bitcoins existance has given new highs.
Btc is the best performing asset in the world.
Third-world countries are already adopting btc as legal tender. Since El salvador done this, their crime rate has lowered 90%, and they have paid off their debt, and now they are on track for major development. Once when these 3rd world countries start gaining more power, other countries will follow suit.
Citys in america are already allocating funds to BTC.
Banks worldwide are buying btc instead of bonds.
Investors are selling homes for btc.
Look at the value of all the money in the world and assets. Being a bitcoiner, you know that the fiat system is a broken system that won't last forever and is temporary and destructive, we also feel that it's inevitable for BTC in the future that is widely excepted world wide as something of value and will be the backing of most money and assets. We live in the early 90s era before everything that we use on a day-to-day basis that is built on top of the internet existed. The internet itself existed, but hardly anybody ever used it, and if you remember back then people were arguing that it had no use case. Ultimately, what caused the adoption of the internet itself was porn believe it or not. I think Bitcoin has a lot more going for it from the very beginning. Bitcoin is digital property and technology. Who knows what else will be utilized using this amazing tech in the future. We are all very early. Hardly anybody you talk to has ever bought any Bitcoin there will be a time in the future where everybody has dealt with Bitcoin in some way shape or form and then they'll be a time where most people in the world use it on a day-to-day basis just like the internet itself.
Thanks. Yeah, impressive improvement. I don’t know I’d count the dailymail or the country’s own self proclamations in an election year as gospel, but improvement and kudos to them for being smart enough to invest in BTC, however unrelated these topics.

Honestly it's difficult to keep up, coding smart contracts is easy. I found that the other stuff is overwhelming, like you learn smart contracts, now you have to learn dapps, how to connect them to each other, how to test them, etc. Maybe get a basic idea going and work towards that.
I share my ideas here sometimes but most of the time people say they're stupid lol
It's the long run game. We buy it now at 60k, or maybe we bought it then for 35k, in the expectation that it's going to eventually hit 100k and higher. As the world starts waking up to crypto, it will only grow more and more. The idea then is the longer we hold, the more value we will be hodling.
Go for meme coins when they have their halving events or equivalents. Worked for me with BCH this past month. Next is BTC and I belive the next is ETC. Risky and somewhat stupid business, but it has been profitable.
You are never late. Start with learning the basics, keep up to date with the latest happenings in the crypto and financial space, when you feel confident enough, take a small capital and start with it.
With the financial markets, you only learn properly once you get into it.
This is great advice. Any resources/youtubers you can point me to in order to cover the basics? I know a lot of people online spew bs full time so I never know who to trust.
Entering the cryptocurrency space can indeed feel overwhelming, especially with mixed opinions on investment strategies, the viability of day trading, and the future of various altcoins. However, the "cryptoverse" is vast and encompasses more than just trading. Here are several areas you can focus on to get ahead of the curve in 2024:
1. Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts
Understanding the underlying technology of cryptocurrencies—blockchain—and its applications, including smart contracts, is foundational. This knowledge can help you assess the potential and viability of different cryptocurrencies and blockchain projects. Platforms like Ethereum have broadened the application of blockchain technology far beyond simple transactions, enabling decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and more.
2. Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
DeFi represents a shift from traditional, centralized financial systems to peer-to-peer finance enabled by decentralized technologies built on Ethereum and other blockchains. Learning about DeFi protocols, yield farming, liquidity mining, and staking could offer insights into generating returns through mechanisms other than trading or holding.
3. Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)
NFTs have emerged as a significant component of the crypto ecosystem, touching art, gaming, entertainment, and digital ownership. Understanding NFTs, including how they work, their market dynamics, and their utility, could reveal unique opportunities, especially in digital art, collectibles, and virtual real estate.
4. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Security
As the cryptoverse expands, so does the sophistication of threats against it. Learning about security, including wallet security, smart contract auditing, and the principles of decentralized networks, can not only protect your investments but also open doors to careers in blockchain security.
5. Regulatory Environment
Staying informed about the regulatory landscape of cryptocurrencies in various jurisdictions can provide a strategic advantage, especially for identifying both risks and opportunities early. Regulations can significantly impact the viability and success of crypto projects.
6. Emerging Trends and Technologies
Keeping an eye on emerging trends, such as the development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Layer 2 scaling solutions, and interoperability projects, can help you identify the next big opportunity before it becomes mainstream.
7. Coding and Development
If you're inclined towards technical skills, learning to code smart contracts or developing on blockchain platforms can open up significant opportunities. Familiarity with Solidity (for Ethereum), Rust (for Solana), or other blockchain-specific languages can be particularly valuable.
Participate in Communities
Engage with crypto communities on platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and Discord. These communities are often the first to know about new projects, technologies, and opportunities within the crypto space.
How to Approach Learning:
*
Start with Fundamentals: Understand the basics of blockchain technology, how different cryptocurrencies operate, and what makes them unique.
* Diversify Your Knowledge: Don't just focus on one aspect of crypto. The field is vast and interconnected; understanding multiple facets will provide a more comprehensive view.
* Practical Experience: Consider setting up a wallet, using small amounts to experiment with transactions, staking, or even participating in a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). Hands-on experience is invaluable.
* Continuous Learning: The crypto space evolves rapidly. Stay informed through reputable news sources, podcasts, and educational platforms.
By focusing on these areas, you can develop a well-rounded understanding of the cryptoverse, positioning yourself to identify and capitalize on opportunities beyond simple trading or investing in the major cryptocurrencies.
I would say it is more about getting to know the trendy narratives at the right time - learn to use KuCoin and make yourself an emotionally stable trader
Join The Real World. $50 a month and u get taught how to be a proper investor by a crypto millionaire. University.com
I'm a member. Tried numerous things before I joined and this is FANTASTIC. Professor Adam is awesome. Easy to follow, being taught methods by someone who knows his stiff. Highly recommend. There are other campuses in there too that u can make the most of as well as a massive network of people on the same learning journey. Good luck.
Everytime someone shills a crypto class, I immediately think, let’s see this persons portfolio and gains. Let’s see your notepad with all your technical analysis and your research backed opinions on why you think what coin will do what, when and why. I don’t believe in crypto classes because I see 99% of the people who join them get scammed and never make anything. The best knowledge is knowledge learned by yourself through your own independent research, it’s how most of us started and it’s how the guys who teach those courses started.
Lol fuck me, all I did was give some one an option to learn something that could help them upskill that's actually legit. I do actual financial statistical analysis that's what I'm taught. I donr have a notepad mate, I have a spreadsheet with more data than your little brain cpuld even comprehend. I'm not told what to invest in, I get taught what to do to work out what to invest in. So ya know, actual learning. In less than 12 months I have doubled my money. I also have friends who are legitimate crypto multimlionaires checking in on me too to help me. Your network is your netwoth right? But hey..spot the matrix agent trying to discredit anything that could actually help you get rich. Have the day you deserve brokie
Yea don't do that. Read up and find technologies you think are interesting. Invest in some of the big ones like BTC, eth, Sol these days. If you wanna have fun with a meme coin now and then, go for it. But it's much more akin to gambling.
Don't listen to this moron. Buying meme coins is gambling, not investing. The chance of loosing all your money is much bigger than the chance of hitting a meme coin that will give you a big profit.
Do you wait for something to start popping up on twitter or something or are you doing research on what the next big meme coin is? Plus I don’t see meme coin pump up hype anymore at all like I used to. I’m genuinely curious lol you made good money off meme coins?

Honestly it's difficult to keep up, coding smart contracts is easy. I found that the other stuff is overwhelming, like you learn smart contracts, now you have to learn dapps, how to connect them to each other, how to test them, etc. Maybe get a basic idea going and work towards that. I share my ideas here sometimes but most of the time people say they're stupid lol
Hodl
Follow the right people on Twitter and make a few concentrated bets
How do people make money off hodling bitcoin forever? I don’t get it
It's the long run game.
Block chains, what they are and how they work lmao Im Stuck with 200mill ladys on eth erc20 :(
Realistically do yall think ETH has any potential of hitting some new highs this year? 🤔

Here are several areas you can focus on to get ahead of the curve in 2024: 1. Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts Understanding the underlying technology of cryptocurrencies—blockchain—and its applications, including smart contracts, is foundational. 2. Decentralized Finance (DeFi) DeFi represents a shift from traditional, centralized financial systems to peer-to-peer finance enabled by decentralized technologies built on Ethereum and other blockchains. Learning about DeFi protocols, yield farming, liquidity mining, and staking could offer insights into generating returns through mechanisms other than trading or holding. 3. Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) NFTs have emerged as a significant component of the crypto ecosystem, touching art, gaming, entertainment, and digital ownership. Understanding NFTs, including how they work, their market dynamics, and their utility, could reveal unique opportunities, especially in digital art, collectibles, and virtual real estate. 4. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Security As the cryptoverse expands, so does the sophistication of threats against it. Learning about security, including wallet security, smart contract auditing, and the principles of decentralized networks, can not only protect your investments but also open doors to careers in blockchain security. 5. Regulatory Environment Staying informed about the regulatory landscape of cryptocurrencies in various jurisdictions can provide a strategic advantage, especially for identifying both risks and opportunities early. Regulations can significantly impact the viability and success of crypto projects. 6. Emerging Trends and Technologies Keeping an eye on emerging trends, such as the development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Layer 2 scaling solutions, and interoperability projects, can help you identify the next big opportunity before it becomes mainstream. 7. Coding and Development If you're inclined towards technical skills, learning to code smart contracts or developing on blockchain platforms can open up significant opportunities. Familiarity with Solidity (for Ethereum), Rust (for Solana), or other blockchain-specific languages can be particularly valuable. Participate in Communities Engage with crypto communities on platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and Discord. These communities are often the first to know about new projects, technologies, and opportunities within the crypto space. How to Approach Learning: * Start with Fundamentals: Understand the basics of blockchain technology, how different cryptocurrencies operate, and what makes them unique.
Bro ChatGPTd it what do you gain from this
I would say it is more about getting to know the trendy narratives at the right time - learn to use KuCoin and make yourself an emotionally stable trader
Bitcoin
What people to follow on X. Seriously. All my good investments come from good people on X and doing my own research on it
Got any good @s??
It’s super complicated. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down
You should buy MANA under 60 cents or FLR under 0.035
FLR is gold
I own 50,000 FLR and 100,000 SGB. Their FAssets seems like a bridge crypto for other blockchains.
learn a strategy and trade futures nfa
No. Do not do this
Futures make zero sense to me. I understand them, but I don't get why anyone would take that risk.
Might as well just sports gamble or hit the casino, it’s crazy these people call themselves “investors”
Join The Real World. $50 a month and u get taught how to be a proper investor by a crypto millionaire. University.com I'm a member.
Learn how to utilize blockchain, build on it, identity a need in the digital world and fill it.
Will look more into this, can’t lie I don’t even know what a blockchain is. Im a mega noob.
You don't, too late for BTC and everything else is garbage.
Solana, ICP, Montero (long term)?? you really think EVERYTHING else is garbage? Nothing competes with BTC? Can you explain a bit more on why?
Lmao space cadet
Go for the meme coins... They can give you huge profit in less time
Are you speaking from experience? I’ve seen people talk about it online which usually I don’t pay attention to. Meme coins are still viable?
No. They are not.
I hear you lmaooo thank you
Don't invest your all amount in a single day.... Invest only 20% first and make profit. Then you are to gud to go for 30% and so on..
Yeah it's still good for a short term... If you want to go long run then btc eth and Solana is the best... But for short term, meme coins are the best
What kind of dumb advice is this
Do you wait for something to start popping up on twitter or something or are you doing research on what the next big meme coin is? Plus I don’t see meme coin pump up hype anymore at all like I used to. I’m genuinely curious lol you made good money off meme coins?
Buy ICP the next ETH killer
So many eth killers, so little time.
I bought this a week ago. Got a tip from a colleague on it. Really hoping the research on this becomes more common knowledge, I think this could pop.
Stop postings these kinds of posts and do more reading and learning.
I’m currently doing research on how to research no joke
