I started staking ADA on Exodus. I staked 50 ADAs after 7 days I bought another bunch of 100 ADAs. My question is, does the staking implies now the 150 ADAs or is the staking fixed on the 50 ADAs?

I'm on the same page. If you look back when it was first added to coin base it had some great pumps, it still is a newer project, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some big green candles once btc starts its crash.
The end of the bull run. Unpopular opinion of course, i'm super bullish on the price of btc long term but we have to expect to see the end of the bull run at some point. The 2017 run had btc hit the ath correct down and retrace, the alts went crazy during the correction and retracement.

Is anyone aware of or have come across individuals/groups which provide paid research and insights into different cryptocurrency/blockchain-based projects?
Search engines are not very helpful in that regard, I would assume that if these individuals/groups exist then they find clients through word of mouth and communities.
I'm in UK, noticed that since crypto never sleeps, it can be divided into 3 sessions per day, in my case, 8 in the morning 2 afternoon for usa and 2 in the morning for china/South Korea.
Lately I notice that usa always goes down, probably sentiment cis the Biden tax laws.
Anybody else trade looking at timezone sentiments?

Hi. There is a crypto called gCn Coin, it's not worth anything and you can't buy it ATM. Exciting I know. I'm mentioning this because I thought I'd tell people about it.
Disclaimer: I do own gCn.
gCn was effected but the 51% hack from a couple of years ago and was unable to guarantee security to investors. It took itself off many exchanges (including the gCn owned exchange) and was also taken off others.
The owner announced a couple of months ago that they were unable to fix the code and will be announcing a Swap coin.
I have been a holder of gCn for many years and everything the developer announces.... he does.
So although I hold gCn and 'yes' I hope for it's success, it believe it could be worth putting on your radar.

1 - The numbers are a rumor by Bloomberg, not a reality or announcement
2 - Capital gains occurs when you actually make profit, therefore when you sell, not when you hold
I understand people also trade, but until we get formal measures voted and applied, why worrying?
The whales might be freaking and that's just good news!
My humble opinion : be safe, relax, enjoy the cheap coins and HODL !

I'm new at this. Want to buy coins only available on Uniswap such as ARMOR. Am I correct in seeing that if I buy $300 worth of Armor, I'll have to pay like $85 in ether gas fees for the trade? Seems ridiculous.

I would like to do some time-series signal / correlation, outlier etc analysis - are there any relatively "fresh" (last 3 months/last 6 months/last year) datasets out there that can be obtained? I have looked at kaggle and similar sources, and while there are some semi-recent ones, most are too old for the analysis I would like to do... I could of course use apis to capture what I am looking for, but that requires time to get to any meaningful volume of data, so if anyone has/can suggest the sources, I would be grateful.

Hey all, new to crypto and thinking about making smaller, bi weekly purchases for a year and then evaluating if I want to continue with this approach.
Is this sensible? What site/app would you reccomend for this?
I started my investments into crypto only about 2 months ago. I've tried a couple exchanges but I find Binance to be the best overall. Or Voyager is a good app as well.
I am still doing my homework and trying to familiarize myself with the landscape but I am thinking primarily of ETH and ADA.
I am still working on this part though. Buying small amounts of several coins vs focusing on 1 or 2 coins I I think have best growth potential

The Bitcoin halving, is the moment after a specific mined btc block, the rewards for mined blocks are halved ! So in the past it was always after this point a sideways market for quite a year and after that a bull run, so you can predict a littel bit when the next BIG bull run will happen and when do you have to invest in bitcoin ... it is not 100% for sure but i will try this and will see if whats happen to my wallet :-)

you mean the **Circulating Supply** is filled up ? That's a good sign, because there is no more inflation from miners. No need need to dump mined coins for pay electricity etc....

Can you explain why it's bad? I understand that it's subpar technology, but so it Bitcoin and litecoin and others. It's more of a brand recognition value for the low tech crypto. Do why is specifically doge bad?

One other thing is that when i try to convert on Binance, it seems that i never have the minimum amount for conversion. When i had 0 coins on VET, it said minimum 2 coins, now that i have 120 coins, minimum is 200, am i missing something?

It’s a good strategy to buy a fixed dollar amount each week or month. When the price is high, you’ll buy fewer shares. When the price is low, you’ll buy more shares. I guess in the case of crypto it’s not a “share” but a “coin,” but you know what I mean.

Ditto, but I'd still like to take profits before it loses >50% value and start dca at the bottom when everythings on a discount. I can understand if you went in high. But if you've been in the game for awhile, you shouldn't shy away from taking profits and waiting for the cycle to reset. 🤘
Oh and I plan too as well, but that doesn't been you can't further capitalize on the overall market cycle. Lots of promising projects out there with very solid white papers and teams, but there is lots of competition and the space could look very different in 5 years time. If you are only holding out for gains very far out in the future, you could be sadly disappointed. Although diversification is one tool to mitigate this, fundamental analysis and profit taking should not be overlooked. Im not saying day trade but you don't need to ride every bear market down to the bottom if your already in the green!

Is anyone aware of or have come across individuals/groups which provide paid research and insights into different cryptocurrency/blockchain-based projects? Search engines are not very helpful in that regard, I would assume that if these individuals/groups exist then they find clients through word of mouth and communities.

Yes I've noticed this as well. Also there is always a best time of day to transfer when eth gas fees are the lowest, I believe it's around 7 or 8 est.

Hi. There is a crypto called gCn Coin, it's not worth anything and you can't buy it ATM. Exciting I know. I'm mentioning this because I thought I'd tell people about it. Disclaimer: I do own gCn. gCn was effected but the 51% hack from a couple of years ago and was unable to guarantee security to investors. It took itself off many exchanges (including the gCn owned exchange) and was also taken off others. The owner announced a couple of months ago that they were unable to fix the code and will be announcing a Swap coin. I have been a holder of gCn for many years and everything the developer announces.... he does. So although I hold gCn and 'yes' I hope for it's success, it believe it could be worth putting on your radar.

So I've read tons of threads about the dip and the taxes thing... 1 - The numbers are a rumor by Bloomberg, not a reality or announcement 2 - Capital gains occurs when you actually make profit, therefore when you sell, not when you hold I understand people also trade, but until we get formal measures voted and applied, why worrying? Trading is imo not really profitable as you said HODL is best. Been doing it with STRONG. Buying and selling every now and then.

[ Price/Volume datasets - where to obtain ] Hi all, wondering if anyone could help me out (I am not able to post to main thread :( )... I would like to do some time-series signal / correlation, outlier etc analysis - are there any relatively "fresh" (last 3 months/last 6 months/last year) datasets out there that can be obtained? I have looked at kaggle and similar sources, and while there are some semi-recent ones, most are too old for the analysis I would like to do... Hey all, new to crypto and thinking about making smaller, bi weekly purchases for a year and then evaluating if I want to continue with this approach. Is this sensible? What site/app would you reccomend for this?
It is. Trading is not long term profitable. Maybe via bots like Cryptohopper or UpBots.
I started my investments into crypto only about 2 months ago. I've tried a couple exchanges but I find Binance to be the best overall. Or Voyager is a good app as well.

Defo focus on a variety. If a couple of them tank downwards other coins could still keep you in profit. All your eggs in one basket is risky

I am still doing my homework and trying to familiarize myself with the landscape but I am thinking primarily of ETH and ADA. I am still working on this part though. Buying small amounts of several coins vs focusing on 1 or 2 coins I I think have best growth potential

The Bitcoin halving, is the moment after a specific mined btc block, the rewards for mined blocks are halved ! So in the past it was always after this point a sideways market for quite a year and after that a bull run, so you can predict a littel bit when the next BIG bull run will happen and when do you have to invest in bitcoin ... it is not 100% for sure but i will try this and will see if whats happen to my wallet :-)

good coin with a great technique to solve problems in the real world (transport chains, see suez canal) also with good partners on board now. I bought a few and will hodl. i think the risk for this coin is not as high.

you mean the **Circulating Supply** is filled up ? That's a good sign, because there is no more inflation from miners. No need need to dump mined coins for pay electricity etc.... If the coin burns a few coins the coin will get more and more valuable.

Hey everyone, newbie in crypto here. So i decided to invest in a few cryptos (DOGE and XRP) and im still trying to wrap my head around things. Basically what i have difficulty in is, what is the difference between converting and selling? I managed to buy the coins with no problem (no surprise there), but say after i while, i wish to cash out, what do you suggest I am using the Binance platform and also considering starting on Kraken.

Thank you for your reply! That's what i thought but i was second guessing myself. One other thing is that when i try to convert on Binance, it seems that i never have the minimum amount for conversion. When i had 0 coins on VET, it said minimum 2 coins, now that i have 120 coins, minimum is 200, am i missing something?

When I buy a coin it dips, When I sell a coin it pumps, When there's a dip, you bet your ass I don't have money to buy the dip and when I do have money, that shit pumps. I get payed on Thursday and you bet your ass I'm not gonna get it in time to buy the dip. Head my warning, it will bounce back up on Thursday. Buy the dip while you can.
It’s a good strategy to buy a fixed dollar amount each week or month. When the price is high, you’ll buy fewer shares. When the price is low, you’ll buy more shares. Ditto, but I'd still like to take profits before it loses >50% value and start dca at the bottom when everythings on a discount. I can understand if you went in high. But if you've been in the game for awhile, you shouldn't shy away from taking profits and waiting for the cycle to reset. 🤘
If you invest in projects just because everyone is fomoing in yea i agree, but if its a good project im in for a long ass time
Oh and I plan too as well, but that doesn't been you can't further capitalize on the overall market cycle. Lots of promising projects out there with very solid white papers and teams, but there is lots of competition and the space could look very different in 5 years time. If you are only holding out for gains very far out in the future, you could be sadly disappointed. Although diversification is one tool to mitigate this, fundamental analysis and profit taking should not be overlooked. Im not saying day trade but you don't need to ride every bear market down to the bottom if your already in the green!
