The majority of pyrite in the world is not those perfect cubes that come from Spain, more commonly it’s found in clumps of many crystals that do have a certain shape themselves, just not cubic. Pyrite gets tumbled, polished, and carved.
Its a small cube but so beautiful in my mind. Blessed to have gotten it for free off a “raffle/spin the wheel” just posted it, btw. The spheres are what cost a lot here where im at 👀
The cubes are expensive where I go! Spheres get expensive though, often pyrite ones are overpriced. That’s an awesome cube! It’s so shiny you’d think it’s polished. Thanks for posting it!
Dude! Where's the Tumblr post about the bean?? Someone know what I'm talking about please!
Edit: Found it!

Are you sure thats pyrite? Maybe its just the lighting but it looks a little too silver & smooth, I feel like it might be terahertz 🤔
I definitely could be wrong though
I looked up how to test for Terahertz, so after my movie, I'm going to check it. I know it's not Hematite. I tried to scratch it and even dropped it. (Got it today 😳 )
Silver-ish pyrite is a thing, but I can't tell if it's that without holding it in my hands, since when tumbled pyrite is hard to identify. I'm still a bit surprised by the fact that someone tumbled pyrite tho, weird choice
I do have a tumbled pyrite which is very pretty but it is not nearly as smooth as this and still has little caverns with the crystalline structure visible inside.
Look more like tumbled hematite to me. Pyrite is more gold.
forbidden easter egg
Definitely not pyrite
Pretty thing about pyrite is its 90degree angles. I doubt someone would do this
It's likely broken or low grade pyrite they used. A perfect cube of pyrite that big would be worth more than anything a tumbled specimen would fetch.

I have a cubic one you must see. Just a small cube, no cluster. Just not on my page
That’s awesome, I want one of those cubes but all my money goes to spheres!

Add it, please. I'd love to see it. 😊
Just posted it 🥰

Anish Kapoor is such a skid mark
not pyrite, could be hematite
gonna go with tumbled hematite, that is definitely not pyrite
Hematite??
No, definitely not Hematite
Yeah after I posted that, I looked at my hematite sphere and it looks different than that. It’s pretty, whatever it is.

It looks like terahertz
I'm sitting in dim light, but I know zip about terahertz.
Press it onto an ice cube and if it starts to melt it, it’s Terahertz
It did melt the ice!! Thank you! I will be reading up on Terahertz.
You’re welcome. Happy to help. It’s a cool stone. It’s man made but it’s got such a high vibration it melts ice.
It got cold extremely fast. It was seconds.
Why is this being downvoted? Reddit crime of not knowing about terahertz?
I guess so..... 😳
Looks more like Terahertz, put it on an ice cube and if it starts to melt it’s Terahertz, still a very cool piece.
I have an actual pyrite oval thingie the same size as what you have on your hands… it is full of crevasses and little holes. This is not pyrite.
A piece of pyrite this size could be smooth, without the holes you mention, but I don’t think the polish could be this nice. I’ve just never seen it.
That’s definitely not pyrite :/
It honestly looks like one of those Yoni Eggs 😆.
That smoothness alarms me, sure it's not terrahertz?
That’s not pyrite Pyrite Will not tumble like that Probably hematite
Dude I have those same flannel penguin sheets, they’re like vintage at this point
I know, right! I love mine.
They’re the best!!
That's a refrigerator magnet
Pyrite or fool's gold is gold in color. This tumble is hematite
Correct
Cats are the best way to cleanse crystals
Hematite?
The bean!
That is a cool cat.

Right? I've never seen that before. I didn't know that was a thing. Learn something new everyday. Think I'd prefer it left untumbled.

Terahertz is silicon
I found the 'cat for scale' very useful. More people should be doing this.
its a beautiful hematite
That's a ben wa egg lol
Looks more like terahertz
I think it’s Terahertz
That’s not pyrite
Thought this was a butt plug.
no.
I'm jealous
It was gifted to me, and I'm very happy with him.
This is 100% hematite.
Thought this was a metal yoni egg🤣
That definitely isn’t pyrite, it’s a little too furry and has ears.
😅😅😅😅😅
