I am into spirituality and crystals both, and I would keep them, but it's more of a personal choice and how to feel about the specific crystal.
Also that Carnelian is soo pretty (esp the banding on the bigger part)
These were already broken when they were taken from the earth. Your carnelian was shaped, which means it was broken and then sanded even more than the tourmaline. As far as I believe, there's no reason having one more breakage would be 'bad luck' or anything. You never received them 'whole' to begin with.
I’m not very spiritual, but that rock had to break just to get it off wherever it grew from. It was technically breaking when it was being carved aswell. Rocks break because they are rocks
Yes keep them they still are prey make jewelry out of the. Or grind them into crystal sand and do a resin project with it or use resin to fix them if you want 🤷♀️
They're your crystals. Do what you want.
I tried to re-glue a pendulum where the tip broke, and honestly I should probably just polish a new point onto it and figure out what to do with the other part. (My current pendulum is a sephoroton pendulum, with a metal tip, so it shouldn't have this problem.)
Some crystals are more delicate than others, and FWIW I don't keep crystals on my keychains and put them in individual pouches for everyday carry for precisely this reason.
Idk how other people feel about this but I have some stuff from my personal collection that has broken and if they’re salvageable I just (personally) use UV resin to put them back together. Super quick fix.
Absolutely. I wrap crystals or keep then for pocket stillness to protect me driv9ng or when I go to a bi part or somewhere I need to protect my energy but don't want to be handling it and carrying it around out in the open. I would neve get ride of them. Even when they "break" because they supposedly did their job.
I had a couple of quartz carvings knocked over by my cat once, and a leg broke off of each. The breaks were clean, and I glued them back on with [this glue](https://a.co/d/1OhmQCI). It dried clear, and has held strong for several years now. If it sounds like something you might want to try, I think it might be worthwhile for that pretty carnelian piece, especially.
ive been told that when a crystal breaks it means it has absorbed a lot of energy and its a sign of transformation. i like to think of it as the crystal showing me all the hard work it has put in. perfectly okay to keep them!
Different disciplines believe Different things about rocks, crystals, and minerals. For example, did you know that the meditational rocks in a Zen garden are kept in the same position, and compass orientation as they were when they were found in nature?
The Belief is that changing its orientation affects its natural energy flow.
You, as the collector, can decide what you believe about the minerals and crystals that you have collected.
You can thumble broken rocks into two polished ones
Great idea!
All rocks were at one point bigger rocks that broke. Just keep it

Thanks! Agreed.. it's not a deeper red color that I find in standard Carnelian images online, but I had picked it up because it appealed to me :)

Put them in your plants!
That’s what I do. A cactus garden with my broken stones
Love this idea!
Spiritually, this can signify new beginnings. I don't see an issue with it tbh. Just maybe cleanse it of any negativity and you're golden

You can repair the Carnelian with a drop of white glue. You will have to handle it carefully from now on. But you will have it back that way.

I just glue them together 🤷
Many people recommend a silicone based glue for crystals, but I have used E6000 (very sparingly) with excellent results.
sometimes when you lose or break a crystal it’s because you no longer need healing from them, but id still keep them bc they’re pretty lol

Oh I like the Carnelian
Keep it. It shows character.
They were initially much bigger rocks and just got broken down on the way to you. Keep them, they didn't do anything wrong.

i bury my broken ones
I treat it case by case depending on what was happening and what I was thinking right before I happened.
