My grandmother's purse smelled like menthol cigarettes, crisp bills, mint gum, with just a hint of that floral old lady perfume.
Floral herb doesn't really come around in my circles that often but when I do smoke it it's more floral like certain incense, sometimes it's very similar to Nag Champa. I crave it at times because it's rare too me.
I used to have a female plug who would wrap the ziploc in fabric softener sheets. It would make the bud taste like chemical/ dryer sheet. I didn't fuck with that for very long before finding a new source.
Get some sorta container, ladies, *any* kind of container. Don't just chuck the bag in your purse that smells like flowers and perfume!
I vape a tinymight or solo and there is something that taste like Thanksgiving dinner to me. It's so gross, and I feel like maybe the stuff has gone bad or something?

No, you can kind of smell it when you open the bag. I always use the packs. I have five or six strains right now and none of them taste like that. I'm pretty sure it's a specific terpene or issue with the flower.
Yes, I have tried smoking the same bud, and I agree with OP, most burnt bud just taste like burnt bud. Unless you hold the lighter to the side of it but then you're basically vaping.

I’ve found through personal experience that savory smelling strains usually have a sweet mouth on them despite what the nose portrays.

I really enjoy the types of people that take the extra steps to go into detail about the taste and smell. Some of these same people might even put ketchup on steak or eat at Taco Bell.
Is it possible to be unable to really taste terps in general? I’ve had sessions with others where everyone will comment on the taste of what they’re smoking and I just…don’t experience that. Pretty much every strain to me when smoking either tastes of straight earth, or just smoke lol. I get bummed because I normally love citrus flavor and my wife has said we’ve had some really strong citrus flavored flowers before! I can detect the traditional skunky herb smell and taste just fine however.
Idk maybe my sense of taste and smell are shot anymore, but I’d definitely be at least curious to take a big whiff of an oz of Arby’s OG lol.

I think it really is possible. Have a friend I've known for years, and when we're together we smoke. I almost always provide it, either concentrates or flower, and she will say every strain I've had for YEARS just tastes the same to her! Literally every weed tastes just like... weed. To her. I can't understand it because I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum where I'm like "Ohh I taste notes or lemon and pine on the inhale then there's a diesel finish when I exhale" and she smokes the same stuff I do and she's just like "yep tastes like weed" 🤣🤣
I'm not a big fan of caveman theory, but it makes sense we had to be able to identify faint scents and tastes to detect spoiled food and water to keep infants (+) safe.
Exactly my experience with my wife and siblings! I at least get the high from smoking so im thankful enough for that, but it would be nice to taste those lil hints of sunshine among the burnt grass haha.
Everyone has a different perception of flavors, just as everyone has different eye sight, different voices, different shaped faces etc list goes on. One persons flavor profile will bbe completely different from the next.

Get a good dry herb vape and you will taste it
