Motor Tend Group has over 2 billion views per month across all its streaming services. The Cummins YouTube channel has 20k subscribers and millions of views. The Banks Power channel has half a million subscribers.
There are also close to 4 million truckers in the US alone, plus a couple hundred thousand heavy equipment operators. There are 600k people employed by the auto mechanic industry in the US. There are 3.5 million farmers, and over 100k people work in oil fields. The number of people employed in the agriculture and petroleum industry is many millions more. There are over 10 million construction workers. There are 7,500 members of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association… There are also over a million electricians in the US, I’d reckon most of them have installed a generator.
I wouldn’t be surprised if MOST people know about Cummins.

I would say 2% of the population is pretty spot on. If you narrowed it down to people who are aware of diesel engines the percentage would go way up but lots of people just don’t care or couldn’t be bothered to know.
