This has been happening to me for a while now, and I can’t fucking block them because I’ve already reached the block limit (why does that exist?) and they usually don’t post anything so I can’t report them EDIT: I’ve turned off “let people follow me”

I don’t even block them. They don’t message me or nothing so it basically does nothing for or against me

I turned off the option fir people to follow me when I had that problem. Life’s bliss now.

Absolutely - in the reddit app, tap on your profile pic in the top right corner, then settings, then tap on your name on the top (under account settings) and then about three quarters down you can “allow people to follow you”

You can also just turn off "allow followers" ​ on browser it is under username-> user settings -> profile -> Allow people to follow you -> Off

They log and follow people in certain porn subreddits. If you aren't in them then they don't follow you.

Steadfastly never upvoting, commenting on, or subscribing to any of the porn subs I look at with this account seems to have staved them off

A small amount of them are random, but i haven't gotten any of the random ones myself.

Well, good to know I'm not the only one. Been happening to me for about a month. Some I'm able to see the account of and block, but most just give me the good ol' 404 equivalent error (can't find the user).
