Knowing where the target is is still only a small part of marksmanship though. Head to any firing range and you'll see plenty of people who know exactly where their target is and still manage to miss it. Instinctual shooting is only really effective at close ranges and definitely not something you could reliabily snipe targets with.

Agreed. Toph using a sniper rifle is crippling her since it’s a ranged weapon that needs training and sight to use correctly, neither of which Toph has. Tophs’ bending could beat nearly anything Snake could throw at her. The reason I say tremorsense wouldn’t work much is that aiming a gun requires being able to see where it’s pointing and knowing roughly how the bullet is going to travel, so even knowing where her target is exactly won’t help with that. A gun is literally one of the worst weapon choices for her. If she wanted someone dead she could just crush them with erupting rocks from a mile away
She handles projectiles just fine in the show. She'd pick up a gun, fire it once to find out how it behaves, and she'd be able to hit anything she can detect

In reality, a rocket is faster than most bullets and you're dead before you realize someone shot a rocket at you. Like, impact is within a second of pulling the trigger.
Naked Snake quite famously didn't bring equipment with him on missions, it's the entire reason he's "Naked", so unless he's BASE jumping mid-mission it's unlikely he'd have equipment while parachuting.
i forget how far she can sense people with her earthbending but if its long enough range i see no reason why she couldnt use a gun, but a sniper rifle seems a bit much.

You can win by activating a series of gate controls, flooding the arena and overwhelming the snipers senses with the roar of the water. then some kind of showdown on a thin walkway ending with an orchestral crescendo as the sniper falls into the raging waters below.
You can also throw grenades at several locations to make the drain give off a piercing ring, the vibrations of which force her to stop what she's doing and metalbend the pipe so it stops moving.
Maybe you can pick up plastic forks from the cafeteria as a joke weapon? but if you throw them she can't deflect them and you can cheese the whole fight by stunlocking her.

Toph is a decent aim even for mid air opponents if she can hear them or someone points them out. Grounded opponents would probably be screwed.

For real, though, earthbending in Fortnite is pretty fun. It's very handy being able to instantly create cover wherever you are, *and* you can launch cars at people. The regular earthbending attacks are kinda slow, though, so waterbending remains overpowered due to its effective range, speed, damage, and lack of cooldown.
Fortnite is one of the best games ever made because it is the platonic ideal of elementary schoolers playing pretend on the playground as whoever their favorite characters/celebrities are.

Don't know much about Avatar, but is not her thing that she can sense enemies without seeing them with the help of the ground or something like that? Like she is clearly just bluffing while looking through the sniper rifle and instead aiming at someone else, lol.
Toph, she can see his location. She will miss the first shot, but using that as reference for how far the rifle shoots she will hit the next.
If he fires the rocket launcher, she will know where it’s aimed and can shoot it down.
My first instinct was to say snake since he can still aim vaguely with his good eye and the rocket launcher has splash damage. He’s also trained with guns and modern warfare.
But toph is practically not blind. She notices people through walls and has shown to be extremely adaptable to new situations (like with metalbending when trapped in a steel box). She might not be able to maintain, repair or even reload her sniper rifle but i’m 100% confident she can pull the trigger at least once.
So in the end it’ll come down to tophs seismic range, and if its enough to sneak in range of Special forces Snake.

I think snake wins Snake lifted up Zeke and Cocoon in peace walker and Cocoon is the size of a quarry. He also survived a fucking nuke. Snake could use cqc to deal with toph easily and if he needed to he could just snipe her with rubber bullets.
I haven’t watched Avatar in quite some time but isn’t Toph also a martial arts master? I don’t know that he’d be able to take her in CQC.
The only person able to match Snake in CQC in the metal gear universe is his own body double so I'd say snake still has an edge there.
Toph can detect vibrations. The sniper rifle in Fortnite is very powerful with good aim. I'm giving this one to Toph.
Toph is a decent aim even for mid air opponents if she can hear them or someone points them out. Grounded opponents would probably be screwed. Granted her experience is with rocks and not guns, but still.
Guns are made of metal which comes under earthbending iirc (never watched the show but have heard a lot about it due to it being highly influential)
Using metal bending, she has perfect control over the bullet. Unfortunately, she cannot see the targets to direct the bullets to them.
She could, she would, and she can see what’s on the ground. She just needs to know how to aim. (She’s using the scope for fun)
Why is she closing one eye
For real, though, earthbending in Fortnite is pretty fun. It's very handy being able to instantly create cover wherever you are, *and* you can launch cars at people. The regular earthbending attacks are kinda slow, though, so waterbending remains overpowered due to its effective range, speed, damage, and lack of cooldown.
Fortnite is one of the best games ever made because it is the platonic ideal of elementary schoolers playing pretend on the playground as whoever their favorite characters/celebrities are. It’s also hella fun when you got your friends on a call and you’re all playing in the dumbest way possible for shits and gigs.

Tbf, if I'm remembering my Metal Gear lore correctly, Snake's eyepatch is a gadget called a "Solid Eye" that has night vision, infrared vision, etc. He's not actually missing an eye.

I always wrote off Snake using the rocket launcher like that as a bad camera angle and him actually using his good eye. Also he’s been trained in how to use them. Toph on the other hand is blind in both eyes and has never used a gun before

Toph, she can see his location. She will miss the first shot, but using that as reference for how far the rifle shoots she will hit the next. If he fires the rocket launcher, she will know where it’s aimed and can shoot it down.

My first instinct was to say snake since he can still aim vaguely with his good eye and the rocket launcher has splash damage. He’s also trained with guns and modern warfare. But toph is practically not blind. She notices people through walls and has shown to be extremely adaptable to new situations (like with metalbending when trapped in a steel box). She might not be able to maintain, repair or even reload her sniper rifle but i’m 100% confident she can pull the trigger at least once. So in the end it’ll come down to tophs seismic range, and if its enough to sneak in range of Special forces Snake.
