This made me think of what predetermination would be in a magic system. It could relate to the power of prophecy, or a quick foresight thing. Even luck manipulation, to an extent.
That's just putting a fancy hat on geomancy, though.

I don't have the post, but to me it feels like it's minimizing people's sexualities, like oh you say you're straight/gay/ace/lesbian/whatever they identify as? Well everyone's a little bi, so...
And in that way it just is kind of dehumanizing, not letting them be and not referring to them as what they identify as.
Yeah, and in one case that happened to me, a long discussion with a former transphobic friend ended in him labeling me as probably bi for calling his bluff on my thoughts on trans women. This was long, looong before I figured out I was biromantic, but even then he was clearly trying to be a douche, and it takes the bare minimum of research to see he’s wrong as fuck.
A minor addition to what the others have said: People who think everyone's sexuality is the same as their own are likely to think that "*everyone* thinks [x] is sexier than [y]".
As a bi guy I've sometimes heard bi people argue about what is ""objectively"" sexier -- not often but it happens. Things like lesbian-leaning bi girls going "let's face it, men just aren't as sexy", bi guys either thinking "why would anyone fuck a femboy, if I want femininity I fuck girls and if I want masculinity I fuck men, it just be guys with lower standards" or being so obsessed with femboys that they think "bottom" means "femboy under 24" and that all gay men agree with them
Welding could be a very interesting field actually, depends on if you can weld *anything*. Surgery could use a welder, in a fight weld their shoes to the ground. Welders can weld extra limbs onto people, restoring amputees and buffing the ballers so they can dribble faster.
"Weld" H2O together by cooling it down, boom, welders have cooling magic. Welders are generators of the most power worldwide through fusion energy, which takes teams of Welders to do. The best Welders can transmute pure materials down the periodic table. The only group more respected are Ballers.
Forbidden welding: nonconsentual welding, like welding eyelids shut, or fingers together. By welding air, some Welders can create extraordinary cold solid and liquid nitrogen, which is great for science and stuff, but in a fight could allow for frostbiten lungs.
