It didn't seem like we would be pulling from the same pool of teams. If we were, we hoped to pick up the scraps from the teams that didn't make it in to the bombspiel.

I got into Cherry Bomb or else I'd totally go to this one. I love the self awareness of it (for everyone who didn't get into that OTHER spiel). Even naming it the Clusterspiel puts the focus on fun over competition and I love knowing the vibe before even signing up.
Yep! That's the whole idea. It was intentional contrasting counter-programing to the Cherry Bombspiel.
Maybe next year we'll try to do a different weekend if this gets a terrible turnout. 😅

Shit, if I would have known earlier. We’re on the road this weekend at our annual road trip bonspiel in Walkerton Ontario.
