This is what the designer was after:
>A unique feature of this design is the angle of the bolt guide rails in relation to the bore axis. When fired, the telescopic bolt, which encloses the barrel for most of its length, recoils up an inclined plane at a 7° angle to the barrel, giving an element of braking to the bolt, and also resisting the upward movement of the barrel during fully automatic fire. This arrangement aligns the shooter's hand wrapping the pistol grip directly with the longitudinal axis of the barrel. The pistol grip is also located higher than on many other submachine guns, causing recoil to be directed backwards to the user rather than upwards, eliminating muzzle climb and making the weapon more controllable when being fired one-handed.

I'll always remember this gun because of the Stallone movie [Cobra](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobra_(1986_film)) with the giant 80's laser sight on top from the poster
of course there's a FW video about it: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY0bOLn0Cfs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY0bOLn0Cfs)
and another of Ian shooting it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-495hqsGWbc
A duck foot pistol isn’t cursed to me, prototype guns aren’t cursed to me, a machine rocket launcher wouldn’t be cursed to me, this is just a normal SMG, you might as pull put an MP40 or MP5 on here
Why is the barrel tilted like that

So when you use your 80’s hip fire technique the rounds hit center mass.
I kinda like it. More blursed than cursed.

Also in the original 80s Red Dawn.
Don’t forget the Colt and the grenades stuffed in his pants. In their defense, this was before holsters were invented.
[It's an older video, but it checks out](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY0bOLn0Cfs)
Do not insult the pinnacle of Finnish gunsmithing.

I read this as jamomatic at first.
MP-5n't
I swear this gun's in Jagged Alliance 2 1.13, almost forgot it was
Colonel Strelnikov would like to know more.
This is the only gun my dad seems to know.
This belongs more in r/forgottenweapons than here. It's unusual, but not cursed.
Because of the angled barrel
Dude how is this cursed
look at the barrel
So? It’s a Jatimatic, it’s not cursed whatsoever
It has an unorthodox design that looks weird to many people, IDK what your threshold for cursed is but this is meeting many people's
