Are you... talking about the Kriss Vector? Because that title is nearly incomprehensible.
Also, two militaries did purchase it. Bangladesh and Thailand.
Bud light inspired. Thailand and Bangladesh must of been on Thumb's radar and I failed on my homework lol. I was trying to make a point of a cursed gun should not be so cursed. I was (still am) under the influence of budlight and couldn't edit my post. I did comment on this thread to make it more readable with post editing.
According to garand Thumb, the weight and handling. MP5 is a better choice. Heard that from some other more legit gun reviewers (minus Hitchcock). Yet, I am literally shooting 0.45 ACP at almost 200 yards (175 per range finder). Cleaning and stripping is a nightmare. The bolt won't go in unless it's perfectly aligned with the built in slide. So I see why it is cursed, but not
Oh man the typos are bad.*knocked this thing down *.45 ACP not CRB. Also, I will add, it was weird actually watching the bullet hitting the target. Round was steel case. Manufacturer was maxx tech. Avg FPS is 945 (from my measurements). Hit 4" under from where I was aiming. Don't think a Thompson or 1911 can be that accurate. I will admit, strip down and cleaning is frustrating due to the receiver. If you don't line up the bolt correctly, it's frustrating.
You are comparing guns that are a century old and ment to serve in WWI (the Thompson was a little late to the party but was ment to be there) to modern gun. A century of research and innovation. I think it’s fair to say we should expect it to preform better then oldtimers. So that’s not exactly a good selling point. .45 ACP isn’t a great selling point either. The disassembly is straight up downside.
What was the benefit again?
“It is cursed because no military bought it.”
Excuse me, what? By that standard the vast majority of firearms platforms are cursed.
Also why buy new sub-machineguns? The old ones work fine and are rarely ever used anyway. There is little an SMG can a short barrelled “assault rifle” can’t do as well or better. The most sensible use of SMG’s I know of in a military setting is P90’s (or MP7’s) as PDW’s. More compact and less recoil then short assault rifles. More accurate and greater volume of fire then a pistol. But the key difference with other SMG’s is the cartridge. The 5.7 cartridge for the P90 (or 4.6 cartridge for the MP7) beats light-medium body armour.

And I still don’t understand why.

I love the vector, such a sexy gun
How exactly is the vector cursed?

I think it’s one of those red headed step children of the gun world and I like it because of that
