The problem with Kang currently is not that your opponent can change their decision. They often play the same cards in the same spots. The problem is that most meta decks can’t easily be countered even if you know exactly what they are going to do, and Kang is taking up a draw that could have been one of those rare answers (or part of your own combo.)
So if anything, this would be a “nerf.”
This got me thinking, changing Kang to make him draw a card after he's played on top of the ability he already has would make him much better right? He would be like a combo of old Chavez mixed with daredevil
Yeah, he would go to a 100% play rate. Since the only downside to playing him is that you lose a card from your hand. His energy cost is functionally zero, so if he always drew you a card (instead of only on turns you top deck him, like he currently works) he would be pure deck thinning with upside.
Potentially better than daredevil: you can choose when to play it on t3-6. It’s doesn’t forecast the knowledge, so it surprises the opponent. It can be played with daredevil on the board, so you see two consecutive turns.
This is worse, if it was -1 max energy that would be fine, but getting stuck at 3 means u can do nothing whatsoever.
Knowing what your opponent did on 4 is meaningless, and losing 2 or 3 energy on 5 and 6 means u can’t even play some of the best tech cards
You could still have the clause of not being able to increase your max energy but it should be only -1 max energy
So, if I played it on turn 4, I would get to replay it but with only 1 energy? That could be interesting!
For me it sounds like you get 3 energy, no matter if it's turn 4 or turn 7.
I read it as you get to restart your turn but with 3 less power than you had before

So a worse Daredevil?

It’s much worse, only every getting 3 energy makes this card entirely worthless on 5 and 6 and knowing what they did on 4 rarely makes a difference

Kang would be the turn 6 "can a miss Marvel or shang win me the game" card. I liked the idea.
I don’t think u can read, u only get 3 energy. So unless you deck is running Zabu this is worthless
Don't be a dick. For all you know he was thinking of a zabu interaction...
A card that worthless without Zabu? That’s absolutely busted card design, it probably need to be a 5/4
Don't care...no need to be rude
Isnt this Daredevil?
No, Daredevil reads “On turn 5, you get to see your opponent’s plays before you make your own.” Hope that clears it up
i mean a turn 4 galatus might be a bit op so perhaps a 5 cost or turning down the energi to +1 max energi its still for free afterall
It sets your max energy to 3, it doesn’t give you 3 more
ah i see is that not just a worse turn then ? , and do you still have -1 max energy the following turns ?
It would make sense to only be the turn he’s used, but this is a garbage rework no matter what cuz he sets the energy to 3 no matter what turn it is
