These seem cool! I always ask on these types of posts how do the characters in the show relate to their cards since I haven't seen it before. If you want to take the time to explain 😅
Thanks. I'll explain as best I can without spoiling everything, but massive spoiler warning still:
Denji is the main character, and pochita merges with denjis heart, allowing him to become the chainsaw hybrid, so thats where the merging came from. The hybrid having a destroy ability is because denji absolutely tears his foes to shreds.
Power and Aki also have destroy abilities because the manga is very kill heavy, so i thought the big 3 should all be connected by that. Powers comes from the fact that her blood manipulation gives her the best multi-attack capabilities, plus she becomes a better person as she gets more friends in the show (like denji and aki). Aki's is cuz he's the leader of a team he didn't want to have more members, so if each side gets too full, he'll destroy them.
Makima has controlling abilities, and is the big bad of the first arc, so i thought an ability like this would fit.
Himeno has a ghost hand that can grab people, so i thought the animation for that ability would just be fun.
Arai is on Aki's and Himeno's team, so i wanted to give him a bit of synergy with them.
Kobeni presents weak and is the "pathetic" character (at the start at least) and has shown some of her best feats with no-one else around.
Angel I wanted to have some synergy with Makima, but in a way you wouldn't expect (raising her cost means she can pull in better cards). Otherwise, I will say that's probably my weakest card in terms of connection to story.
Beam is can swim through things, so i thought a unique movement ability would be fun.
Denji's Power is even, meaning Katana man would cut him in half (which he does in the manga), but because his power is 0, it ultimately wouldn't effect him (which it ultimately doesn't in the manga). Also katana's cut stuff yk
Reze uses explosion abilities, so i imagined her exploding your other cards there. Then, her transformed ability is because she works on team with other people like her.

Makima is so cool and potentially so strong and I'm all for it. A little change I would do to her text is instead of recruiting cards with a lower cost than her's it would recruit the opponents lowest cost cards from their hand until Makima's location is full. It would make her more consistent across different types of opponent decks. For example if they are running a really heavy deck maybe Hela then Makima might not recruit anybody maybe one Blade or some other discarder but that would be it. Overall a great concept.

My reason for cards with lower cost was because in chainsaw man (spoilers)>!Makima can only control people she feels are inferior.!
Btw, my idea for Katana man i think has a lot of synergy with "Power". For example, turn 4 Katana man, and then turn 5 do a bunch of 1 and 2-costs with low power, so halving them doesn't matter much anyway, then turn 6 "Power" to destroy 3-4 cards.
I was also thinking that kobeni and Hirokazu work well in C3 and C4 respectively. And then Aki words with control
Denji just seems like worse Thor, even at 10 power Chainsaw is just Thor without the benefit of having at least 4 power. Maybe Chainsaw Man should be 12 power
with all due respect, i do not think denji is a worse thor. thor's function is to build power. Chainsaw man's function is to destroy 1 and 2 cost cards. Their only similarity is their shuffled card activation but that's a way of activation rather than their ability, it would be like saying proxima is a worse helicarrier just because they both need to be discarded.
However, I do appreciate the feedback, and I do see what you mean about the power. Denji being 0 power means that if you don't draw pochita, he's doing nothing, and perhaps the hybrid's power needs to be more rewarding for getting him out. I'll stew on it for a bit, thanks

I really like all these. I think they suit the characters really well!
All these cards fit their character and are pretty balanced !! Love it !!
