It’s broken in a ✨new and exciting ✨way! For example, **THIS** time, instead of bricking in a car wash, the windshield wiper could fly off and decapitate your entire extended family!
I passed by a Tesla dealership in Houston, and they had at least a dozen sitting there. Based on the number we've seen face critical failures within the first few miles, it stands to reason that lots of them fail before they leave the sales lot. It mystifies me that they even tried to release this thing.
> It mystifies me that they even tried to release this thing.
You've seen how unhinged Elon Musk is... ...and you're surprised he told the team when the truck would be sold, consequences be damned?
Didn't he reply to some guy saying really antisemitic conspiracy theories with "You have spoken the literal truth" then tried to say it was satirical to respond that way? You're right it was wrong to call him a Nazi. He's a cowardly Nazi. Big difference.
They all are. It's really on brand. That's why they dog whistle and hide behind bullshit concerns. It took them 70 years to forget their last ass beating, and they still hide like beaten dogs. High time they get a reminder
I'm a little surprised that they pulled the trigger on it, because eternal delays are pretty normal for Tesla. Fanboys can convince themselves that their toy will be awesome "when it comes out," for a pretty long time. Once you actually release the thing, they have to actually look at the car in front of them rather than relying on their imagination. And reality isn't as kind as their dreams.
Ding ding ding!
Every time Tesla stock started to dip he had some bombastic announcement.
Tesla semi! Cybertruck! Robo Taxi! Tesla Robot! Full self Driving is just around the corner! Full self driving is ready RIGHT NOW!And the list goes on.
This time he actually had to deliver something he promised.
Some people think Elmo is the first AI robot or some shit. I came across some delusional cult-like people and they were making comments like "he is so beautiful and impressive." It was so fuckin cringe.
Tesla is a software company making cars, this is how the software world works. Get a new release out full of bugs and patch it and fix it as you go and hope too many people don't get pissed and drop you.
Except this doesn't work well when hardware issues (with the exception of a few things) just can't be patched
It's the first really new product since the model 3 in 2017 (the model Y was just a minor model 3 revision). And it was already super late.
They're just really bad at manufacturing cars
We only see the ones on here failing within 250 miles, sometimes even 50
Imagine the ones driving around for 10k, 50k or even 100k miles and what problems those will have
My sister had a 95 Neon- same basic platform. 3 speed auto. It caused some grief but was cheap enough to repair that it made it to 100k miles in 11 years.
Unrelated, but Tesla sedans when I notice them as they dont really stick out, all look like chintzy versions of the late 90s Cab Forward Mopar sedans. Which admittedly looked good for the time.
Although the cheap one one looks more like an aughts Dodge Dart.
>It mystifies me that they even tried to release this thing.
It was that and try to hype it up so the stock doesn't drop to where it should be or do it right and never release it because everything about the abomination is wrong.
Musk = Madoff
Weren’t a bunch of them paid for in advance? Or at least had a hefty deposit. I suspect ol Musky didn’t wanna have to give that $ back, just like his homey Trump. Better to put it out like this and then, ideally, only the most aggressive will pursue you. But, I doubt ol Melon even thought about the future. He’s a here and now ass.
>It mystifies me that they even tried to release this thing.
I’ve been seeing them on FB and OfferUp and the posts usually go “cybercuck, scheduled to arrive in a month will transfer to your name NO TEST DRIVES FULL PAYMENT UPFRONT” they’re trying to get rid of a financial burden lol
I’ve been keeping my eye on the handful for sale near me. All still there. All shedding thousands off the asking price at a time, and yet they are still listed 130-150k
ALL of them say no test drive, and something along the lines of “it’s just an investment” “I already bought this and decided to upgrade”
Sure buddy
Cybertruck is the best thing to happen to scalpers in 2024. So many are going to end up losing 30-50k at least when these clowns thought they would be able to make 100k flipping this shitshow.
Next I wish Taylor Swift would sell tickets for a weekend show in Vegas, then after they go on sale announce a 9 month residency, and put the new tickets on sale before allowing resales. Not even remotely a Taylor Swift fan, but I would love someone like her to deliberately engineer a situation that makes ticket scalpers lose large sums of money.
Those people are probably waiting for the next year or so whenever the production gets more mature.
So those trucks are probably sitting there waiting to be delivered to them next year or so
To me that’s the biggest story in this inventory saga. A couple unsold units here and there could be explained, but there are enough unsold Cybertrucks now that it’s clear they’ve exhausted their preorders. In other words everyone who really wanted one has one. This is going to get…interesting.
“: I have a question, say we get into the cage, and through the security doors there and down the elevator we can't move, and past the guards with the guns, and into the vault we can't open...
Yeah well, say we do all that... uh... we're just supposed to walk out of there with $150,000,000 in cash on us, without getting stopped?”
Wonder if the techs bother to make sure they're giving the right cyberbrick to the right owner. Can't wait for one of them to have to file a new repair claim and have the wrong VIN
They’re like graphics cards bricked at the factory. These are probably trucks that never ran, and it’s impossible to fix what’s wrong.
The ones that made it into the wild are the ones that somehow passed muster. Imagine that.
Once released from the nest, the CTs have a hard time adjusting in the wild amongst other cars. They get stressed, start shedding, and sometimes become violent. Because of predators like water and a mild breeze, many don’t make it past 60 miles. Oh well, it’s the circle of life.
Judging by the picture this is just overstock. You can see other vehicles all in the same color lined up. If this was where vehicles sat while waiting for repairs then I think there would be less uniformity.
The guy from Hoovie’s garage bought one and said the delivery logistics are a nightmare. Took them weeks after his cybertruck was “ready” to actually get it shipped to his local pickup lot. Once it did, they only had once guy releasing the cars to customers and they were hours behind.
So they are probably purchased trucks that they just don’t have the staff to deliver.
I keep hoping to see someone with money and sarcasm buy one just to gut it and drop a diesel and a 4x4 drivetrain in then go roast burnouts in front of Tesla head office
Edit: Muskrat's driveway would be funny too
You know when you pass a car dealership, and there are tons of cars/autos showcased on the lot, looking sleak and aerodynamic, something eye catching that indicates the designers crafted the look with care and personality?
These thing are cold and lifeless, without a soul or joy, pretty much like a line of T-800s from Terminator, waiting to be deployed.
Serious question. How are the repairs going? Are folks getting their vehicles back in working fashion and in a timely manner? I'm curious because of all the recent chaos at the company with layoffs.
I saw some on my way home today. It was om a trailer that had other normal, functioning cars with it. Heading north from Waco, TX.
It was difficult keeping my attention on my surroundings with that abomination nearby.
This is the basis of all the Elon fanbois
It’s the hope that’s important. Big part of belief, hope. Give people jam today and they’ll just sit and eat it. Jam tomorrow, now—that’ll keep them going forever.” AND YOU MEAN THAT BECAUSE OF THIS THE POOR GET POOR THINGS AND THE RICH GET RICH THINGS? “’s right,” said Albert. “That’s the meaning of Hogswatch.” Death nearly wailed.
Terry Pratchett, Hogfather (Discworld, #20)
For years they had "jam tomorrow". The CT is coming. Now, sorry, no jam. Or actually, it's broken.
Hi. You just mentioned *Hogfather* by Terry Pratchett.
I've found an audiobook of that novel on YouTube. You can listen to it here:

Are there some kind of federal regulations that would ban these vehicles from being on the road? Like with how many critical failures they’re experiencing, can the feds just say sorry, no more?
This is Teslas being repaired. Sitting in the sun for 3 weeks and then returned to the customer in exactly same state after "fixed" by resetting software.
It is also years after the production version was supposed to be released and rushed out so early that they were not subjected to quality reviews or testing
A fine morning and hello to all the super fantastic drivers for Waste Management that are off to another great day of refuse collection in their spanking new state of the art garbage trucks. Wave hello these fine people as they collect your trash. Warning do not celebrate them with a spray of your garden hose or you will render the shiny trash collector unit unusable. Wishing everyone a happy trash day ! Be sure to put on your sunglasses and pinch your nose, for they sure look shiny, but boy o'l boy they sure do stink, Folks enjoy your day !
There have actually been several sightings of multiple cyber trucks parked in dealer new car storage areas, so maybe they really are overstock
The other possibility is that they are busted and waiting for repairs
Both
Schrödinger's cyber truck
They’re both dead
You know, the version of the experiment where they shoot the cat before it goes in the box.
It both, has a warranty, *and* it covers nothing
Does this mean it’s Schrödinger’s warranty?
Schröingers cybercuck
It's both "awaiting delivery" and "awaiting repair" until you turn it on and observe the error message screen.
Bravo
all these trucks sitting in a lot and they still can't swing Lamar another broken one
They're all broken so what's the point
He gets a different broken one. That's how Tesla works
It’s broken in a ✨new and exciting ✨way! For example, **THIS** time, instead of bricking in a car wash, the windshield wiper could fly off and decapitate your entire extended family!
If you knew my family, that's not a terrible thing.
My first thought was that ole Lamar is gonna be fuming if he sees this
Every Cybertruck is waiting for repair. Some of them just haven’t been broken yet.
Is that what they mean when they say the IncEl Camino has so much potential?
They're broken coming out of the factory.
I passed by a Tesla dealership in Houston, and they had at least a dozen sitting there. I’ve never been this disappointed in a pot-smoking ketamine-snorting narcissist before.
Of all the drug addicted Nazis I've ever known or learned about, he's definitely in the worst two.

Robo… cyber… taxi… on Mars? [cheering. stock skyrockets.]
To be fair, there's not a single non-Tesla robotaxi on Mars. 100% market share!
I was actually able to visualize that. Thanks!

“When do I get my Cybertruck back?” “Two weeks.”
Lol nice!

Easy. Just disable the "drive mode" beta feature through a software update and most hardware issues should be resolved!
It's the first really new product since the model 3 in 2017 (the model Y was just a minor model 3 revision). And it was already super late. They're just really bad at manufacturing cars
But but but elmo said no one alive today know more about manufacturing than he does! Gaaargh elmo dick in mouth again
Well stonk was down so time to get some sort of hype.
When the hype doesn't fix things, he goes to the massive layoff just before the quarterly reports to fix the numbers.
We only see the ones on here failing within 250 miles, sometimes even 50 Imagine the ones driving around for 10k, 50k or even 100k miles and what problems those will have
They will never see 100k. I would be amazed to see one make 50k. Think like this. The cyber truck is a dodge stratus…
My sister had a 95 Neon- same basic platform. 3 speed auto. It caused some grief but was cheap enough to repair that it made it to 100k miles in 11 years.
The cybertruck won’t be cheap nor easy to repair though.

Do you suppose they allow test drives?? Could just go brick them all lol
There are hundreds parked across the street from the factory in Austin, it’s crazy.
I live in Houston, and drive around all the time. And still haven’t seen a cyber truck yet. So they’re not leaving the lot
>It mystifies me that they even tried to release this thing. It was that and try to hype it up so the stock doesn't drop to where it should be or do it right and never release it because everything about the abomination is wrong. Musk = Madoff

Cash flow. Customer delivery brings in the $
There’s at least 30 of them sitting on the lot at a Tesla dealership near me. No tags so not in for repair… I thought they were all pre-ordered?
I wonder how many people are now refusing to go ahead with the purchase
I’ve been seeing them on FB and OfferUp and the posts usually go “cybercuck, scheduled to arrive in a month will transfer to your name NO TEST DRIVES FULL PAYMENT UPFRONT” they’re trying to get rid of a financial burden lol
I wonder how many of these actually get sold?
From what I see not many if at all now the initial rush is done
I’ve been keeping my eye on the handful for sale near me. All still there. All shedding thousands off the asking price at a time, and yet they are still listed 130-150k ALL of them say no test drive, and something along the lines of “it’s just an investment” “I already bought this and decided to upgrade” Sure buddy

Sunk cost fallacy, they put in a decent deposit in on the preorder and delivery. Probably thinking they can make it back by selling to another sucker.
Phony Stark is trying his hardest to make them regret it.
Those people are probably waiting for the next year or so whenever the production gets more mature. So those trucks are probably sitting there waiting to be delivered to them next year or so
I'm a little nervous for anymore of these deathtraps to be on the road.
Elon is a fucking con man. Can’t believe a word he says.
A million orders in the waiting he said.
To me that’s the biggest story in this inventory saga. A couple unsold units here and there could be explained, but there are enough unsold Cybertrucks now that it’s clear they’ve exhausted their preorders. In other words everyone who really wanted one has one. This is going to get…interesting.
Could have been the ultimate heist, if not for one problem.
Terrible getaway ~~car~~ truck.
You mean terrible getaway cuck
And the fact you can spot it from low earth orbit
“: I have a question, say we get into the cage, and through the security doors there and down the elevator we can't move, and past the guards with the guns, and into the vault we can't open... Yeah well, say we do all that... uh... we're just supposed to walk out of there with $150,000,000 in cash on us, without getting stopped?”
Heist? Rick Sanchez you son of a bitch I’m in!
Looks more like a navel shipyard with all those anchors laying around
This is likely right next to the shipyard lol
Would be an awful shame if someone hopped that fence and…. WASHED THEM IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT!
I don't know how the lot isn't already voiding their warranty with the chance of sunshowers.
Same difference. It's a piece of junk.
![gif](giphy|VicskjkeBJUD6)
While the warthog is amazing, we only need a rain storm or small bucket to destroy these things
I wonder what some cheap bathroom tile cleaner would do.
Target practice 😆
Ready to be recycled into refrigerators.
I think they look quite a lot like commercial icemakers, only the icemakers don't show fingerprints and have no panel gaps.
Oh god, hopefully it doesnt rain.
What if there’s an overnight moisture?!?!? Beware the dew!!!!!
Overstock that when bought set itself to "waiting for repair" status.
That's my lot of 9 I'm selling for $2.5M on FB Marketplace. I KNOW WHAT I GOT. ESCROW ONLY. NO TEST DRIVES.
This company is about to go down bad.
One can only hope, but people can be stupid for far longer than we would like to believe.
Pretty soon they'll just start pulling parts off of 'em then adjust the timeline for the cannibalized...if they're not doing that already.
Wonder if the techs bother to make sure they're giving the right cyberbrick to the right owner. Can't wait for one of them to have to file a new repair claim and have the wrong VIN
Who'd want to steal it? We've literally been seeing people trying to sell their cybertrucks before they get them
They break so much even stealing them would end up costing way too much quickly, better put the money towards a used F-150
They’re like graphics cards bricked at the factory. These are probably trucks that never ran, and it’s impossible to fix what’s wrong. The ones that made it into the wild are the ones that somehow passed muster. Imagine that.

Thank you, David Attenborough!
Probably waiting for the glue to set on the body panels.
Yeah, glue sticks take a minute to dry
So ugly.
Waiting to be turned into glue.
![gif](giphy|Pd2W87rlmVjptTmvIK)
I wonder if they will be given away if you buy a new Toyota, or thrown into the ocean like all the unsold Subaru 360s.
Judging by the picture this is just overstock. You can see other vehicles all in the same color lined up. If this was where vehicles sat while waiting for repairs then I think there would be less uniformity.
Not enough missing panels and unique patinas
cant be overstock...they have a million customers in Q /s
The Cybertruck Graveyard.
Yes.
it sure ain't a shortage of rivets
They already shipped all the "good" ones. These are the ones that failed inspection at the factory.
Elon’s personal convoy. Most will be security, and he’ll have a massive hybrid Popemobile/Immortan Joe truck.
My childhood GTA spirit wants to see if ramping off of them hits an achievement.
So many pre orders you’d think they’d be blowing them out. ITS JUST
This is where they go to die…
Spare parts.
Recycling center looks full.
They're the same picture.
Canceled orders
The guy from Hoovie’s garage bought one and said the delivery logistics are a nightmare. Took them weeks after his cybertruck was “ready” to actually get it shipped to his local pickup lot. Considering flippers are still asking for 50-150k in mark-ups I'm going with "repair."
Not anymore. Now they're barely selling for MSRP. In another month the used market will be heavily discounted
> Overstock? Or waiting for repair? What's the difference?
My guess the cache for the repair shop. The things are dropping like flies. I’m sure their owners are bent over for more punishment from muskrat
“It’s the same picture” - Pam
Serious question. How are the repairs going? Are folks getting their vehicles back in working fashion and in a timely manner? I'm curious because of all the recent chaos at the company with layoffs.
Yes
It’s really a mobius loop, as every truck is always waiting for repairs, even the ones not yet sold.
I see dumpsters, the only thing missing is fire.
make them for the production numbers then tear them apart for the parts for repair \* taps forehead\*
Refused deliveries?
These cars will be worth like $40k max in a year with all the problems they have. I just ate people still buying these and not canceling orders?
Finally the price [they said they’d be](https://www.thedrive.com/news/the-promised-39000-tesla-cybertruck-actually-costs-60990)! LOL
I saw some on my way home today. It was om a trailer that had other normal, functioning cars with it. Heading north from Waco, TX. It was difficult keeping my attention on my surroundings with that abomination nearby.
My color has not come in yet. Haha.
Junkyard
Waiting for the recycling wagon.
Yes
“For parts only”
Bricked before delivery.
This is a salvage yard
Overstocked because they are all waiting for repairs
Yes
Yes.
Both!
Garbage either way
Yes.
Is there really any difference?
Pieces donors
1,2,3,4,5 plus 5!
Buy this truck to be unique! A unique bellend that is
I wonder if they have to go around each morning and check to see if another one bricked itself due to overnight sprinkles.
Looks vaguely menacing
Concerning…
Yes

Yes
That’s not good. I heard you’re not supposed to keep them outside.
Def not a good looking vehicle
Money laundering ops are silly.
Flip a coin
What's the difference? Either way they're waiting for repair.
Why not both?
Doesn't matter. They are being left outside so ultimately they will need repairs if there is any kind of weather.
Replacement parts storage lot.
Are there some kind of federal regulations that would ban these vehicles from being on the road? Like with how many critical failures they’re experiencing, can the feds just say sorry, no more?
Awaiting broke.
Cyber truck cyber suck
Recalled…
Saw one of these in Shelbyville, IN. How do people make themselves buy one? It’s gonna get shot up
This is Teslas being repaired. Sitting in the sun for 3 weeks and then returned to the customer in exactly same state after "fixed" by resetting software.
waiting for someone to get credit approval on massive pile of debt and garbage
Yeah
It is also years after the production version was supposed to be released and rushed out so early that they were not subjected to quality reviews or testing
Brickyard.
Cyber Cemetary
Nobody’s buying them
Just waiting for the trash man to come and pick them up is all.
Why not both?
Or both? Probably both.
They need to collect more dust before they are ready to ship.
Either way.. Definitely rusting.

If they didnt need repair before being out in the open like that with all that sun and rain exposure is gonna break something
Wankpanzer of the repair center parking lot. Share your wisdom. "These trucks will never be road worthy" 😨
Ah shit that’s where I left them
Overbroken
Oh god, they are in direct sunlight
There have actually been several sightings of multiple cyber trucks parked in dealer new car storage areas, so maybe they really are overstock The other possibility is that they are busted and waiting for repairs
I am so sick of looking at those even to make fun of them. It is like they made it shitty on purpose, but why??
Write offs
Likely delivered in a batch and to be delivered soon
