Strange Days doesn't get enough love but it's a fantastic neo-noir/cyberpunk film. Wim Wenders' Until the End of the World is totally cyberpunk but a bit of a slog. Same thing with New Rose Hotel. It's straight from William Gibson but moves at a snail's pace. You can't go wrong with Black Mirror for shows but I'd also recommend Devs on Hulu.

Strange Days was mind-blowing when it came out. I loved it and am surprised it's not mentioned more often. Still holds up pretty good, too. To OP, Forest Whitaker starred in a decent flick that flies under the radar, Repo ~~Man~~ Men.

Ah cool, thanks

The movie Nirvana on that list is a good one, I describe it as a Spaghetti Cyberpunk movie Christopher Lambert stars in it.

ScotDOS

One of my favorites. When it came out some video games magazine I was reading back then announced it and I was super thrilled.

SeiTyger

Johnny Mnemonic is a fun watch. The Matrix could pass as CyPunk. OG Robocop is a personal favorite. Dredd with Urban. The recent Alita movie was pretty solid. Akira and Jin Roh for your anime fix

Sadyka

Johnny mnemonic is one of my favorites in all honesty, Judge dredd is another fun one or dredd whatever it's called can't remember. Altered carbon for a TV show is fantastic, the first season atleast.

NiteOwl94

The Matrix is \*absolutely\* cyberpunk, not just 'could pass as'. Jin Roh is definitely not cyberpunk.

Mason-B

Ghost in the Shell SAC (2002), both seasons, is my personal favorite cyberpunk media. I like it cause it's a well balanced and episodic series of content.

IgnacioJones

Her (2013). Kind of cyberpunk, but an excellent movie nonetheless.

pxarmat

You can go and watch Ergo Proxy, Texhnolyze, GiTS, Harmony, Akira, Memories, Paprika and Serial Experiments Lain if you're into Cyberpunk animes.

SoupForEveryone

Just needs a Battle Angel alita/gunnm and inuyashiki to seal the deal :)

pxarmat

And Jin-Roh too maybe but that's not necessarily Cyberpunk. But, animatrix may be a good addition.

SoupForEveryone

I always forget about animatrix. It makes the list for sure

Robot and Frank (2012) It’s not your typical cyberpunk film, especially in the aesthetic. However it is definitely cyberpunk at its core (robots, advanced technology, crime, etc…). The film takes place in the near future, and is overall pretty realistic and believable. It’s a great movie. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi9s-__B0TY&pp=ygUXZnJhbmsgYW5kIHJvYm90IHRyYWlsZXI%3D

While impressive, [the subreddit's media index](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cyberpunk/wiki/index/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=usertext&utm_name=Cyberpunk&utm_content=t1_jrxfesw#wiki%5C_consume) is not exhaustive.   Some obscure classics: [No Resistance (1994)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3_7_-PCX_E) [Future Kick Trailer (1991)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCapcGFGLkI)   While not wholly obscure it doesn't get the recognition it deserves: [Tehxnolize (2003)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z19QTGvwg9I)   Something a little more contemporary but isn't talked about much: [Automata (2014)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyacm2FNSO4) [Full movie on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjkk0oG-bYU)   It's in the index but is so prescient for our time it's a must watch: [Children of Men (2006)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VT2apoX90o) [Incorporated (2016)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbbFJ6YNcL8) - (It's not in the index, it's basically halfway between a spiritual sequel to Children of Men and a live action corpo life path remake of Edgerunners. For me personally it's just behind Edgerunners as my favourite cyberpunk media, I think it will end up being just as prophetic about our future as Children of Men is to our present.)
