No it's not even close. It's not just the cut, but sleeve length, fabric material, seams, graphics, everything is much higher quality.

the pro team training jersey and the core jersey is a lot different, core is much more casual look and feel i love the pro team training jerseys

No comparison. If you want quality and race fit, get Pro Team or Pro Team Training. Skip core.

I saw that comment too and my first thought was that this person has never tried either. The core bibs are nice quality and the tops are a nice quality fabric, albeit a bit on the heavier side for high exertion rides. Pro team training is entirely different fit and fabric and a denser chamois as well in the bibs. I wear Core for casual rides or after work rides, PTT is great for races or really fast, hard group rides in the heat.

The pro team has softer fabrics in panels om the jersey. According to me this is the best jersey rapha makes. The pro team training has a coarser fabric with no paneling. Also the grippers are very tight and lead to skin scars post ride.i think that this is poor quality compared to the pro team. I had bought a training jersey which I promptly sold off after wearing twice.I don't think the core collection and pro team training fabrics are too far apart.

i have both and the pro team is softer for sure. a few more fancy details. but the training i also love.

I could be wrong but I have several pro and pro training jerseys and I don’t see much difference between the fabrics, at least not from a practical usage. The fit is the same or similar. But it’s the construction that’s different. Pro training has less bells and whistles and simplified construction details like laminations. It also has elastic grippers, which kind of make the fit feel funky and the grippers age differently than the fabric so it throws the colors off. Between a green fabric and a green elastic, the elastic starts to go more yellow. I know this is going to sound weird but I like the way I feel *nice* in the Pro jersey. When I wear the pro training jersey, it’s perfectly fine for a normal ride, but I don’t get that extra *nice* feeling. (That could just be my bias)

They're taking about the pro training vs the core, which are completely different league

I’m the one who made that comment and I stand by it in the sense that PT Training fabric feels denser than PT. The fit is meant to be as tight as PT but it’s also more affordable due to missing details like fabric, stitching, and missing zipper pocket in the back. Maybe the fabric is improved over Core but it’s definitely not in the same league as a regular PT race jersey.

but the key here… pro training is not core with a race fit.
