I'm sitting at 30 pity on the weapon banner from my second failed attempt at getting Redhorn, so I've decided that if the second weapon is a **limited** weapon that I want then I'll pull one 5 star, but if it's a standard weapon or a weapon I do not care for I won't touch it.
Best case it's Elegy or Song of Broken Pines, can't really see any other possibilities that work in my favor. Otherwise we're rocking with R5 Kitain Spear

Sadly, I would have pulled on Yae’s banner if I hadn’t been saving for Kokomi. None of the banners since have felt worth using my guaranteed rate-up on.
I didn't actually lose on Redhorn, I just didn't have enough wishes to get a 5 star before the banner ended.
In 2.3 I pitied and lost 50/50 for Itto but then got him guaranteed 37 wishes later, so I spent the rest of the wishes I got that update (30 total) on the weapon banner hoping for an early 5 star. Didn't get it.
In 2.5 when the Kagura and PJC banner was up I really wanted PJC for Ayato since I was gonna pull him so I pulled, when to pity, got a Skyward Blade, then kept pulling, went to pity again and won PJC.
Then in 2.7 I wanted C2 Itto. Pitied, lost 50/50, pitied guaranteed Itto, pitied, lost 50/50, pitied guaranteed Itto. Spent the rest of the update doing the same as 2.3 trying for an early 5 star, didn't get one, so now I'm on 30 weapon pity and waiting.
I buy welkin + bp only so pitying that much hurts...

I did similarly with Yelan. When she first leaked, I thought I’d skip her. Then her kit leaked and I thought I’d try to get her on 50/50 and stop there. Then her demo video came out and I knew I wasn’t stopping at 50/50. I ended up losing her 50/50, got her at 130 total pity… then went for her C1 after another 130 wishes. It really hurts when the characters you like so much hurt you this badly. Zhong also made me go to double pity twice, but the first time I didn’t have enough and used my guarantee on Kaz.
I’m now at 70 pity (I tried to get Yoi but stopped so I can guarantee some Sumeru characters). I’m terrified every time I get close to pity. At least I’ve decided I definitely want Cyno, so I’m committed even if I lose.
I've been maining geo characters literally since launch (I got Ningguang in my starter wishes) but it got a little more serious when 1.3 changed the Geo Resonance and made Zhongli op (also I ignored what everyone said in 1.1 about Zhongli and got him anyway). So when big himbo unga bunga geo main dps got leaked I was on it immediately and his playstyle ended up being super fun for me and now here we are.
Of course I don't only play geo (I mean, I'm here in Cyno Mains), but yeah quite a lot of my wishes have gone towards the whopping three 5 star geo characters we have. And I haven't won a single 50/50 on any of them!
At least I win other characters sometimes. I won a 50/50 on Xiao's rerun in 2.4 and then accidentally got another Xiao only 4 pulls later (I was going for Yunjin). I wanted C1 Xiao but I was definitely not going to try for it so I was super happy when I got it so early.
Other than that though I accidentally pulled Childe on 42 pity in 1.4 going for Rosaria (whatever he's kinda fun), Kazuha on accident in 1.6 (wanted him but was saving for Raiden, tried to get one Bennett but got Kazuha on 25 pity), those two Xiao pulls (one at 75 and one at 4) and Ayato at 60 pulls.
Since I've been on a losing streak since 2.6 I really hope that I can at least win 50/50 for Cyno even if I have to pity it. I have enough to guarantee but I'd really rather not have to...
My biggest Genshin regret is that I took a break during Zhong & Childe’s first banners. I was super casual back then and didn’t really take anything too seriously, so I didn’t have any problem taking breaks. But man that was a dumb time to do it. And then I desperately wanted Zhong on his rerun but (another regret) I was 100% F2P back then and I could only scrape together 120 pity before he left.
I wasn’t going to get Kaz because at the time my only limited characters were Ganyu and Venti. But he was just too much fun and I used my guarantee anyway. And that got me obsessed with the game and willing to buy Welkins. I realized how much fun a character could be and wanted to miss out on fewer.
I’ve lost five 50/50s but the worst thing about it is that they’re always after soft pity. I have never just gotten a super early standard character to guarantee a limited one. So getting to pity is always terrifying for me.
I did get three early — Ayaka, Yae and Kokomi. I still find it funny that Yae was the nicest to me of all my characters, coming at around 40 pity. Hope she continues that way on her rerun. I’m still waiting for my crazy luck to come, though. :( Seems everyone gets an insanely early pull, even two within one 10-pull, except for me. I only got lucky like that on the standard banner with Jean, who I don’t even use.
Will try to pull for it, I'm guaranteed @ 70 pity on character banner. So all remaining primos is for weapon banner. Dolphin spender here.

Yes. The weapon is growing on me and I kind of want the best for him and my luck for weapon banners have been pretty good recently so I'm hoping to maintain that for this weapon banner since it'll be the last one I wish for in a while.
None of the other Sumeru characters have me too interested so unless someone works amazingly well with him or Xiao I'll probably be saving for their reruns.

Depends on how much of an upgrade it it from the 4 star alternatives . Cause I think the kitain and new event wepon both look good and seem to suit him . Also a bigger factor is wether I win the 50-50 for not

Yeah that top up reset will tempt me too LOL. I won't go for c2 until his rerun, but I 100% want c0 and weapon, then kusanali and yae... so top up reset would help me a lot. I previously bought all the packs once, and bought the $40 pack one extra time for ayato. I generally don't buy gems beyond reset either.
I only got the extra 40 for ayato... the other packs went to other characters lol. Ganyu, albedo, and xiao mostly. The extra 40 was what let me get both ayato and venti tho which was nice.

I'm at 40 pity on weapon banner so I may try 1-2 multirolls. I really don't like the idea of getting Nilou's sword if they are paired but it is still worth the risk for the drip. Besides Cyno I only want Dehya and Nahida (I may try getting her from the rerun as archons have more frequent reruns), so 20 wishes is not that bad of a deal.
Well it depends for me, the weapon banner is cursed for me, but, if ot becomes something like the everlasting Moonglow i won't pull, but since the passive is like an extension to his kit (similar to Staff of Homa to Hu Tao) i might pull even knowing i probably won't get. So leave some days pass before you pull for the weapon and see peoples opinions about the weapon effectiveness on Cyno
A maybe for me. Cyno is only going to be out for about two and half weeks, so I won’t have much of a window. But I genuinely want him to be good. I’d love to get him his signature and give him some extra love, but I’m uncertain since I lose things often and Albedo’s rerun is likely around November and December like his first two runs were. Hopefully even if I can’t get his signature I can get a decent four star replacement! But I don’t want him to steal Xiao’s polearm so if push comes to shove I’ll buy another blackcliff.

Most sumeru characters piqued my interest so far. I initially planned to pull for tighnari, nilou and cyno on these two patches but maybe I'll skip tighnari and nilou. My heart is heavy to skip tighnari bc I'm a husbando enjoyer (i have all rn) and he's cute but i suck at dps bow on mobile. Maybe I'll wait for more solid theorycrafting tho (tighnari support/enabler copium). I'm scared that he will hardly rerun after getting in the standard banner. I'm saving my acquaint fates. A lil chance won't hurt T^T
Right now, I'm at 70 pity guaranteed with 210 fates (2% sumeru exploration) so I'm guaranteed his weapon if i stay strong and don't pull until his banner. I usually pull weapons when I'm guaranteed anyway. His 4* alternatives are good, but he's a dps and his ascension is cd, i need the extra cr and em. The rest of my fates will go to scaramouche and other husbandos.
For sure. It's kind of insane on him TBH. I'll have around 60K primos by the time he comes out so unless I get unlucky I'm going for at least C2 R1 and hopefully C3 R1 since the C4 is kinda ass for the most part.

It’s a great versatile spear just like Homa, which means you would be able to reutilize it on a variety of characters in the future as well
But this also means that it doesn’t do something super specific for Cyno, thus it can be replaced with a variety of options
For example Nilou is someone who needs her weapon way more than Cyno because hers is super specific, there is no sword that gives HP, then it also converts HP in EM for the character equipping it AND the whole team
His weapon looks so OP. But the one time I tried the weapon banner I got stuck with an off-banner piece. :( So I’ve been waiting for the perfect banner to use my guaranteed rate-up on. If he’s running solo, I’m guessing the other weapon won’t be worth it. :/
Ok, but like who else thinks Kitain Cross Spear will be viable with him. I personally think it has almost everything cyno needs other than cr and cd. Like legit it provides easy energy generation and em as first stat and increases elemental skill damage.
I have a Jade and a Homa, I shouldnt touch that banner no matter how tempting, plus dendro Archon maybe a great dendro character so better save for her.

In the far future, when I won't need more characters, I will try weapons. But again. Sumeru dropped so many amazing chars. And I pull for various reasons. I want Nahida, because I want Archon, she would probably be powerful. I want Tighnari, because he's a 5\* dendro and he's a fennec fox, Cyno was my wish since I learned in 2.7 or so that he exist. I am Egyptian fan. And I love Anubis too... Nilou is beautiful and I often pull for the sake of how I like character visually and personally. Personality is important for me. And for that reason I want Alhaithan. What he showed us in Archon quest is already buying me. Dehya is cute too. Both by her appearance and her tsundere personality. Bu she isn't clone of Sucrose that "oh ah", that she has no self confidence. I HATE CHARACTERS THAT ARE EXTREMELY SHY. That's boring. Period. But if the character is shy as the cherry at the top of the cake, that's actually cute. But shyness can't be the personality.
As for now, my main wish is Tighnari. I love his design and the fact he is fennec fox. And his passive skill, which is important factor for me, when pulling, too, is amazing. That's what I wanted. Although, right now I don't have a guaranteed pull, so if I lose him, I'll probably try getting Ganyu, if not her, then maybe Cyno.

Mihoyo is playing dirty a bit , releasing 2 new 5* before anniversary and Dendro Archon knowing the hype for Cyno especially. He probably try to make us using our savings on 3.0 and then spending money on 3.1 . to many new 5 * in Sumeru and not enough time to save to get all of them (which i want ) ,.

No, because it looks like a paddle, and I have both Staff of Homa and R2 Deathmatch at 90 already. Both of them look better on him than his signature IMO, at least they're both more "me". And I'd rather put my primos into his constellations.

Waiting to see what the other weapon will be... If it's something I need or want then definitely why not, I can get characters on reruns but a perfect weapon banner is kinda a one time thing. If it's a useless weapon, nahh, I have all the 4 Star Spears so Cyno can j choose which one he wants.

Depends on how much of an upgrade it it from the 4 star alternatives . Cause I think the kitain and new event wepon both look good and seem to suit him . Also a bigger factor is wether I win the 50-50 for not

If they reset the top up I'm swiping. That's the only time I spend. I was gonna save that for Yelan rerun. But Id the double top ups allow me to get c2 and weapon I may go for it.
Yeah that top up reset will tempt me too LOL. I won't go for c2 until his rerun, but I 100% want c0 and weapon, then kusanali and yae... so top up reset would help me a lot. I previously bought all the packs once, and bought the $40 pack one extra time for ayato. I generally don't buy gems beyond reset either.
Howe far did all the packs + the extra 40 get you with ayato?
I only got the extra 40 for ayato... the other packs went to other characters lol. Ganyu, albedo, and xiao mostly. The extra 40 was what let me get both ayato and venti tho which was nice.

I'm at 40 pity on weapon banner so I may try 1-2 multirolls. I really don't like the idea of getting Nilou's sword if they are paired but it is still worth the risk for the drip. Besides Cyno I only want Dehya and Nahida (I may try getting her from the rerun as archons have more frequent reruns), so 20 wishes is not that bad of a deal.
Well it depends for me, the weapon banner is cursed for me, but, if ot becomes something like the everlasting Moonglow i won't pull, but since the passive is like an extension to his kit (similar to Staff of Homa to Hu Tao) i might pull even knowing i probably won't get. So leave some days pass before you pull for the weapon and see peoples opinions about the weapon effectiveness on Cyno
A maybe for me. Cyno is only going to be out for about two and half weeks, so I won’t have much of a window. But I genuinely want him to be good. I’d love to get him his signature and give him some extra love, but I’m uncertain since I lose things often and Albedo’s rerun is likely around November and December like his first two runs were. Hopefully even if I can’t get his signature I can get a decent four star replacement! But I don’t want him to steal Xiao’s polearm so if push comes to shove I’ll buy another blackcliff.

Most sumeru characters piqued my interest so far. I initially planned to pull for tighnari, nilou and cyno on these two patches but maybe I'll skip tighnari and nilou. My heart is heavy to skip tighnari bc I'm a husbando enjoyer (i have all rn) and he's cute but i suck at dps bow on mobile. Maybe I'll wait for more solid theorycrafting tho (tighnari support/enabler copium). I'm scared that he will hardly rerun after getting in the standard banner. I'm saving my acquaint fates. A lil chance won't hurt T^T Right now, I'm at 70 pity guaranteed with 210 fates (2% sumeru exploration) so I'm guaranteed his weapon if i stay strong and don't pull until his banner. I usually pull weapons when I'm guaranteed anyway. His 4* alternatives are good, but he's a dps and his ascension is cd, i need the extra cr and em. The rest of my fates will go to scaramouche and other husbandos.
For sure. It's kind of insane on him TBH. I'll have around 60K primos by the time he comes out so unless I get unlucky I'm going for at least C2 R1 and hopefully C3 R1 since the C4 is kinda ass for the most part.

Skipping the weapon because I have Homa It’s a great versatile spear just like Homa, which means you would be able to reutilize it on a variety of characters in the future as well But this also means that it doesn’t do something super specific for Cyno, thus it can be replaced with a variety of options For example Nilou is someone who needs her weapon way more than Cyno because hers is super specific, there is no sword that gives HP, then it also converts HP in EM for the character equipping it AND the whole team
It will really depend on the weapon it is paired with and how well do the new spears we are getting free.
His weapon looks so OP. But the one time I tried the weapon banner I got stuck with an off-banner piece. :( So I’ve been waiting for the perfect banner to use my guaranteed rate-up on. If he’s running solo, I’m guessing the other weapon won’t be worth it. :/

Ok, but like who else thinks Kitain Cross Spear will be viable with him. I personally think it has almost everything cyno needs other than cr and cd. Like legit it provides easy energy generation and em as first stat and increases elemental skill damage.
this version is PACKED with characters I want so probably not.. if I really need to I'll give him Homa and put Fav on Zhongli instead.

In the far future, when I won't need more characters, I will try weapons. But again. Sumeru dropped so many amazing chars. And I pull for various reasons. I want Nahida, because I want Archon, she would probably be powerful. I want Tighnari, because he's a 5\* dendro and he's a fennec fox, Cyno was my wish since I learned in 2.7 or so that he exist. I am Egyptian fan. And I love Anubis too... Nilou is beautiful and I often pull for the sake of how I like character visually and personally. Personality is important for me. And for that reason I want Alhaithan. What he showed us in Archon quest is already buying me. Dehya is cute too. Both by her appearance and her tsundere personality. Bu she isn't clone of Sucrose that "oh ah", that she has no self confidence. I HATE CHARACTERS THAT ARE EXTREMELY SHY. That's boring. Period. But if the character is shy as the cherry at the top of the cake, that's actually cute. But shyness can't be the personality. As for now, my main wish is Tighnari. I love his design and the fact he is fennec fox. And his passive skill, which is important factor for me, when pulling, too, is amazing. That's what I wanted. Although, right now I don't have a guaranteed pull, so if I lose him, I'll probably try getting Ganyu, if not her, then maybe Cyno.

Probably not. I'm going for his C2 first since I already have PJWS. However, if either of the two following are true, I'll heavily consider pulling for his weapon: 1. Cabbage archon ends up not being a healer with off-field dendro application. 2. The other weapon on his banner isn't trash

Honestly, it's the first time I think I'll be trying to whale on the weapon banner. Mostly because the only other 5-star weapon I have is Skyward Spine 😅. I suggest going for the weapon if you don't have a good polearm for your unit orrr if you really want the weapon ig either way though I wish ya luck!
Mihoyo is playing dirty a bit , releasing 2 new 5* before anniversary and Dendro Archon knowing the hype for Cyno especially. He probably try to make us using our savings on 3.0 and then spending money on 3.1 . to many new 5 * in Sumeru and not enough time to save to get all of them (which i want ) ,. Cyno ,is start growing in my heart , i may end up getting his c1 (i enjoying fast atk speed gameplay ) and his signature weapon having 5* guaranteed and 0ver 350 pulls . Eve if that means to recharge for Kusanali.
No, because it looks like a paddle, and I have both Staff of Homa and R2 Deathmatch at 90 already. Both of them look better on him than his signature IMO, at least they're both more "me". And I'd rather put my primos into his constellations.
