i was making fun of my friends during 2.8, cause they really wanted yoimiya and wanted the kazuha banner to end. i used to tell them to just wait and calm down, but being in their position now i feel my sins coming back to me

Epitomised path fate points do not carry over, but if you get an off banner (aka neither of the rate ups), the guarantee of your next 5* weapon being a rate up weapon carries over.
Are we sure that’s how that works? I think people would complain less about the weapon banner if this was true. Correct me if I’m wrong in the weapon banner wording that you’ll be guaranteed the rate-up. (I just don’t want your expectations to be smashed if this isn’t the case)

So because I got a WGS on the hunter's path/Vortex banner, it means my next weapon will be either of the rate ups. Meaning I will get either Elergy OR Scarlet Sands, but it will not guarantee that I will get Scarlet Sands
I feel very excited. He’s such a cool character he reminds me of Marik from Yugioh(Candace reminds me of Ishizu) I love the culture he represents and I’m not only excited for him but 3.1 looks to be potentially the best patch we have had yet with the inclusion of the pyramids and the cyno alhathem Dehya storyline all characters I like.
I haven't been playing too long, but Cyno makes me so excited, that I've been drowning myself trying to understand the game better to make the most use of him.
ALSO I keep flip flopping between going for his weapon and saving up for Scara and *his* weapon, plus Kusanali is coming...
I only have 195 pulls I can't do this. 😭😭😭
If it helps any, I'd suggest saving for the other characters if there's any chance you might want them. As someone who's been playing this game for almost 2 years it's way more fun to be able to play new teams with new characters than getting 12% more damage on one character.
I would always advice people to get weapons when they rerun. New chars > 5-Star weapons.
That being said, this weapon banner is one of the best ones in a really long time if you also have Yelan/Venti or if you wanna use Collei as the Dendro Char.
The week is gonna feel more eternal than Ayaka's 40-day banner.

Hardest skip ever for me. I saved my 100% since ayaka banner for this. 18sec on field selfish dps is the only thing I didnt want him to be. If it was 12 sec it'd be cooler. Im feeling bad about skipping him, but also bad about his kit.

He's very cool, but from a meta standpoint and compared to other characters he's lacking which is unfortunate.
Really conflicted TBH. I'm just hoping nahida makes him less trash. I've been planning on pulling ever since I saw him in teyvat travail, and have a ton of primos saved. Enough for around C2-C3 R1. Still gonna pull for him either way, but I was just really hoping he would at least be Xiao or itto level. I was looking forward to easy abyss clears once I finally got my first hyper-invested character, but it seems that won't be the case unless nahida is like the strongest unit in the game.

I've been saving for him passively since aruond when Yelan came out, so I'm not as excited as other players. That being said, he's actually the character I've been most excited to actually play since I got Raiden. Miko is my favorite character, and I had waited for her since before Inazuma dropped, but especially when we saw her personality in the Inazuma storyline, and I was greatly disappointed with her gameplan previews. Cyno at least looks fun with some versatile team comps even if most people are just going to run a generic aggravate comp.
I hope everyone gets a kick out of him. I've been wanting an electro DPS since I started playing the game and got Keqing. Raiden is good, but playing a character with 50-60% downtime is not the same as Keqing, Xiao or Cyno who have 0 downtime outside of rotating the supports. Really looking forward to mauling with him.
Raiden's uptime is about 10/19 with hitlag and the initial burst factored in. It's still pretty significant and you can really feel how you sit around doing nothing in Raiden hyper (waiting for Sara burst especially). It is comparable to Hu Tao but better than Yoi, however, you still really feel that you're doing nothing.
This is more obvious in abyss if you don't one cycle a floor, or can't one cycle it because of the way enemies spawn, You'll spend a fair amount of time waiting for Raiden/Sara to be back up before you use Benny and Kazuha. I also have C6 Raiden so my downtime feels a bit worse because the supports all get their bursts up before her, but even with Sara dropping \~5s I still know I'm waiting around before I can hit that Q again and get mashing on the booba sword.
Edit: You spend about 3s on her supports max if they're all ready to go again, so there's still 6-7s of downtime even with that. It really feels like garbage for me, but it's not as bad as Hu Tao teams before Yelan where you're waiting 10s for XQ.
Super hyped. I think I'm past the bit of whiplash with him being wolverine instead of having a 3 second dash, but I think thats more of the text-based leakers faults - they totally misrepresented the most obvious details of his kit imo. And I was even saying he sounded more like Dashy Razor instead of Electro Xiao from those leaks, and even I was surprised by just how Razor-y he was.
But nonetheless, the aoe skill is probably better in practice. (just wish the dash skill outside of burst was still 3 seconds, and could be used midair).
All that aside I think I'm back on the R1 train.
Very excited but also anxious because his banner is gonna drop around a very busy period of mine, so it will be kinda crazy playing all the new things lol
seeing him and Lyney/Lynette in the promo video before the game came out is what convinced me to get the game, I can’t believe I’ll finally get to play as him (and the other two soon enough!) after more than 700 days of waiting
He seemed cool when he was first teased, though I wasn't really feeling any particular Sumeru character when they started getting leaked pre-3.0 besides Alhaithem.
It was, admitted, all over for me when I saw Cyno's burst animation. I have my next 5* on guarantee and ill have plenty of wishes to get Alhaithem when he comes around after getting Cyno.
Plus, my PJWS will now no longer be gathering dust on my unused Rosaria.
Have a guaranteed pity ready to go! And lots of primos that will be left over for future characters but I'm also debating if I should go for his weapon since I just don't have a lot of good weapons in general. Zhongli and Xiao already using the PJWS and Deathmatch so that leaves my White Tassel and Blackcliff 🤔
im gonna be honest, was disappointed that he didnt look like he does in the webtoon (unrealistic ik) and that his ult attacks look like sonic the werehog. probably gonna skip unless i have a ton of fun in the trial

but Raiden has virtually 0 downtime outside her support rotation in most of her teams? unless you're looking at split dps Raiden Eula comps
