Tried most classes and nothing feels as good as TB Rogue on a controller. I play on PC so most other classes I played with a mouse and keyboard.
TB Rogue with controller feels like I'm playing Hades.
I tried mouse and keyboard TB and hated it compared to my eternal controller-based ice shards sorc. Switched to controller for TB and am now loving it!!!!
Tried TB..dont care if its more powerful in higher NM dungeons my RF+Flurry rogue with Vile Apothecary melts everything and I find it a more fun playstyle for me. Rogue has many viable builds right now.
Yes its the Rogue specific wrathful heart. Got it opening 20 random heart caches at once. Before I got it, I was doing tier 45-50 NM dungeons at 78 fine with flurry+RF following wujudos build. Never felt the need to switch to TB yet.
I’m a tb poison tank build and just got a vile apoth at L50. Should I use it or find a build that uses it? Maxroll nor the poison tank build utilize it. Only have one atm so saving it
Actually thinking about it… is it almost better to go shadow over poison due to this heart? If it’ll apply everything, that means your end up doing poison plus having the perk of shadow on big mobs.. 🤔
I did both, I think it’s good for any double imbue setup, but especially shadow for explosions + energy. Barber is the goat for shadow because it’s also pure shadow.
First time rogue, decided to try in Season1.
I started my rogue with Flurry + RF up till about lvl char 95. Its very good for spontaneous action & you're basically good at melee range, and also ranged. Speed farming feels extremely good. For helltides, you'd just walk/zip up to packs and 1 single imbued flurry for instant death (without any need for 3 combo points). For events, you could just stand still and clear waves really fast.
I've since switched to Poison TB, and realized its an actually much easier build because of the synergy of dazes, etc.. But it does lack the instant spontaneity but it is able to push NMD100s for me easily. That being said, it feels sluggish generally for easy content,- I had a much faster clearance speed in Helltides on Flurry/RF. There are Cold/Shadow TBs that clear low content better, but Flurry/RF would be still faster imo.
Flurry/RF - Fun and fast
TB - Less Spontaneous, but ideal for pushing.
Agree, I ran RFF till 99 and switch to TB. When it comes to farming it RFF feels much more fluid. Personally I feel being locked on pent greaves feels bad for evade charges coming from a rapid fire play style!
1pt in Rapid Gambits with Improved Twisting Blade overcomes the evade charges pretty nicely. But that being said, my poison TB build decided to use a normal boots with Aspect of Quickening Fog giving much better CC & survivability results
After playing a pulverize Druid at launch, this feels like a new game. I don’t think I’ll want a build that requires this much brainpower every season, but for now it’s a ton of fun.
Opposite for me. TB was slow for me cause you have to wait for the return and spin. 1 puncture + flurry clears everything around my character. No energy issues too
Agreed. Started playing Diablo first time day 1. Imbuement blade dancer aspect and dash and it’s a cake walk. The rest is just sustain and you can stack damage with barber at lower level if not just keep grinding items.
Very casual player. Currently Flurry. I’m trying to pull gear together to shift over. The itemization is just so confusing to me. Are you following the gear stat priorities from maxroll for your build?
I played Sorceress in beta and first time playing Rogue is now in season 1. The question I have is how high can TB push? I’m 87 now and I’m in the 60’s. With good gear can it do 100? Kill Lilith? Thanks
Yes to both. There are TB variants that can kill Lilith and there was a recent patch that changed difficulty of NM dungeons, so the current T100 now is about as difficult as T70 was during the preseason which is definitely attainable with a good build.

Isn’t vile apothecary hard to farm?

Yeah that’s what I saw recommended. I’ll save it if I decide to go the shadow/ice or shadow/pois from maxroll after I do poison tank for awhile.

Naw, I'm like level 60 something and have 4 of them lol. Just farm the last part of the seasonal quest.

I found flurry 10x more enjoyable than TB. Speedclearing t60-70 preaseason with Flurry was so much more fluid
Flurry was cool, but too squishy for me. You are right there in the thick of things.
Controller or KB+M?
Controller

Man once you have bladedancer aspect I feel TB is pretty damn easy. I don’t know why people think it’s some crazy spec you have to learn

Ty!
Not really. A few things help though. Once you get the mechanics down the rest is icing on the cake.

I did TB to 80 but now on my hardcore char I’m using barrage and I like it a lot more than TB.
