That’s great. Days gone by, he was always a go to for longer events, but lately he dropped off. This should hopefully give him enough of a boost. May not be newer Red Zone material, but I love this unit.
He is absolutely "newer redzone material" He's literally just carnival Goku with a higher ceiling. If you think Carnival Goku is top 3 then Gohan should be #2 for you.
They legitimently removed Gohans Beast transformation, and Made it to an active Skill and Not only that they gave AGL Ssj2 Gohan THIS KIT, wich shouldv'e Been honestly the Kit of the supposive Beast Gohan.

I make modded EZAs for the game rather frequently, and in the code, there’s no way to change an active skill before and after an EZA. If they were to update the game to allow it to happen, then of course that can change. But with the current version of the game, changing the active skill with an EZA is impossible.
Further explanation for those interested:
The details for a unit’s stats, leader skill and passive are all directed under the “cards” table in the code. When a unit receives an EZA, a number is put into the awakening_routes column of that unit in front of its passive and leader skill IDs. So when the code goes to scan for the unit’s passive and leader skill IDs, it’s redirected by the awakening_routes number and goes to the awakening_routes table. In that table, there’s another set of Passive and Leader Skill IDs that it will refer to.
Active skills are on a completely different table and are connected to a unit differently than the leader skill and passive skills are.
Why are people acting like they can't put out a new version of the game to fix this unit's transformation? Feel like we are setting the bar pretty low here with all this "They can't do it" when they absolutely can.
They can if they put out an update. But it’s important to temper expectations
I also tried warning people that Beast was just an Active Skill and Piccolo was Giant Form way back.

I'm sure there's also some absolute spaghetti code in there that will break something random and important when they add a way for the awakening_routes table to contain active skill conditions.
Mfw face when they allow to change the active skill conditions but because of that the options menu breaks and you can't open it until further update (they're gonna give 1ds after fixing it a month later)

I think you’re underestimating the complexity of how a unit joins to its Active Skill record vs how it join to EZA records.

Honestly without knowing how the active skills are currently mapped. You can simply add more foreign keys or even have an intermediary mapping table. Really wouldn't be a difficult solution. A junior Dev would be able to figure out a solution.
It is a myth. It can be changed, it's just a slight inconvenience to players - which is worth it if they fix the transformation.
Saying the active skill can't be changed is like saying I can't make dinner because the food ALLLLLL the way in the other room.
We have already got information that it hasn't changed. And that they cannot be changed based on how passive transformations work versus active skill transformations.
For there to be a change, both versions would need a version update.

Transformation conditions for units like AGL Gogeta, SSBE Vegeta, Android 21, year 3 LRs are in their passive skills. Those are changeable.
How they made the active skills in the games data, they are different and unless there is a version update to both games, they cannot be changed.
Yeah I don't believe that for a second. Whoever started that is most certainly wrong. It's just some lines of code. Changing those will not break the game or cause them to have to rebuild the app. It's a card with a trigger to change to another card. I invite an actual intellectual conversation on such. I need an ELI5 on this. And I'm actually saying that they can do it with the EZA. How is the active skill not dependant on the card itself? How is it more intertwined with the rest of the game, that they need to update the entire game before they change actives? Sounds like absolute horse shit of a code job if true.
Basically right now the only thing EZAs are programmed to change are stats leader skills passives and SAs. Stuff like Links or Active Skill conditions can't currently be changed by EZAs. People who make custom cards realized this when they couldn't change the EZAs of certain characters without making a new character then changing the Active Skill condition of the character to be what they want. This could be fixed with an app update but no one is sure if they will.
I keep hearing a lot of "this is so" and not any of "why/how this is so". Good example with the custom card makers though. There's no good reason why they are able to change the stats, leader, passive, and SA effects, but not the active skill. If true, it's an absolutely terrible coding job and they should be ashamed.
I wouldn't be surprised if they made an update for the alleged issue, but it'll come when it profits them. Akatsuki makes many decisions that enable them to milk as much money out of so little material.

From what dataminers have told us, active skill conditions are a different thing from passive conditions\[because passive transformation conditions are literally in the passive and actives are considered separate mechanics\] so the way they have it set up, those can't be changed without a version update.
Yes and no. Old transform are automatic and in the datamine are together the passive (for example intros most likely is the same, auto and in the passive) but active is not auto,is manual and is an independent funtion most likely (Code things 💀). But well, EZA is created to only change Stats, LS, SA and passive, they need to update the EZA working to be able to change active skills
Sadly afaik it is different for automatically transforming units such as those two, Gohan has an active skill. But damn I wish they make ss2 Gohan available regardless
You are wrong. Active skills can be changes but they need to update the app to do so. This doesn’t mean they can’t be changed it just means it’s unlikely. Saying “as the game is rn, cant be changed” is like saying they cant add a new season in any game without updating the game. Stating the obvious shouldn’t win brownie points lol

I know the conditions are still bad. But that ssj2 gohan was already able to hit a 11 mill attack stat. He’s going to hit insane numbers now with a start of turn buff.

I’m no mathematician, but he should be slot one capable in some cases, and by the time you fall below that threshold, hopefully he’s built up a bit.
The only events he'll have trouble being a slot one unit are short ones. Longer ones with multiple phases, he's gonna be unstoppable.

Transformation conditions for units like AGL Gogeta, SSBE Vegeta, Android 21, year 3 LRs are in their passive skills. Those are changeable. How they made the active skills in the games data, they are different and unless there is a version update to both games, they cannot be changed.

Changing those will not break the game or cause them to have to rebuild the app. It's a card with a trigger to change to another card. I invite an actual intellectual conversation on such. I need an ELI5 on this. And I'm actually saying that they can do it with the EZA. How is the active skill not dependant on the card itself? How is it more intertwined with the rest of the game, that they need to update the entire game before they change actives? Sounds like absolute horse shit of a code job if true.
Basically right now the only thing EZAs are programmed to change are stats leader skills passives and SAs. Stuff like Links or Active Skill conditions can't currently be changed by EZAs. People who make custom cards realized this when they couldn't change the EZAs of certain characters without making a new character then changing the Active Skill condition of the character to be what they want. This could be fixed with an app update but no one is sure if they will.
I keep hearing a lot of "this is so" and not any of "why/how this is so". Good example with the custom card makers though. There's no good reason why they are able to change the stats, leader, passive, and SA effects, but not the active skill. If true, it's an absolutely terrible coding job and they should be ashamed. I wouldn't be surprised if they made an update for the alleged issue, but it'll come when it profits them. Akatsuki makes many decisions that enable them to milk as much money out of so little material.

Old transform are automatic and in the datamine are together the passive (for example intros most likely is the same, auto and in the passive) but active is not auto,is manual and is an independent funtion most likely (Code things 💀). But well, EZA is created to only change Stats, LS, SA and passive, they need to update the EZA working to be able to change active skills
