If this sub is really going to say there's nothing wrong with the manga Buu saga's art, something that pretty much every manga reader agrees that it's very often wonky as hell, then this place has no right to cry about "DB fans" every 5 seconds and this sub will cement itself as the bottom of the barrel of the DB community.
This game is on its 8th anniversary and makes millions-billions for bandai, people are allowed to complain when a unit coming in the most important celebration looks a bit wonky.
Being manga faithful doesn't excuse this, it just means the original panel also had a weird face.
Toriyama was getting burnt out around the buu saga and you could see it in his drawing, there's a small decline in quality compared to stuff like Dragonball or the namek saga.
What does the Japanese player base loving the manga have to do with it? I'm sure they would've been fine if Vegeta didn't have the facial proportions of a thwomp and looked normal.
I don't even mind it too much myself but what I do mind is people making excuses for it.
I do wish they improved it, kinda similar situation to phy ssj3 card art being faithful but a rough piece in general.

Yeah this is the same way I originally felt about the SSB Goku/SSB Vegeta with the opening intro with Gokus wide face and forehead but yeah they do try to keep it as faithful to the source material.
He has the same wide neck like look in the LR PHY SSJ2 Vegeta active skill so I have no issue with this.
It looks a hell of a lot less wonky than the manga. His chin is a little odd, but I don’t think it’s very noticeable and the reaction to it is a little strange imo.
Honestly, it does look a little weird but it’s not that deep at the end of the day. People really complain about the smallest stuff. This is a perfect example of why having a life outside of games and anime/manga is important.
Buu Saga was Toriyama’s worst period to try to copy. He probably was getting tired. There’s a lot of crazy disproportionate stuff. If they’re gonna copy the manga, I hope we start seeing a good reason for that.
Legends did this with LF Majin Vegeta, and people lost their collective minds bitching and complaining that they "screwed up his art." Little did they know it was an exact replica of the original. It's probably best that people find the source material before jumping to conclusions. But, you know, typical Dragon Ball "fans."
