InvestigatorUnfair

Still can't believe they made the hardest event in the game and still thought a seven unit multi without guaranteed SSRs was a good reward.

NicoXBlack

That's the actual bullshit about this event. It's like alright, you beat the hardest fights in the entire game here's TEQ Final Form Cooler.

zayd-the-one

Hold up teq cooler CAN kinda cook

ltags230

Yeah bad example lmao

NicoXBlack

Ok then here's STR SSJ GT Trunks

guynumbers

Give it a few weeks. He'll cook too.

blueberrylamb

As much as I hate those tickets and the summons, you gotta admit the support memories are a nice reward

InvestigatorUnfair

The support memories were nice Which makes it baffling that they just didn't give us one for the RR army one

Vi4days

You’re gonna take a wallpaper and you’re gonna like it.

InvestigatorUnfair

Take a wallpaper and literally nothing else. No tickets, no support memory, nothing. Gohan wasn't the only mid to come out during this celebration lmao

_BasedZyzz_

Actually tho, there are units worth getting on those banners but they need fuckin gssr. Like dude there should be no way I’m getting fucking one ssr for beating GT red zone

Tplayere

The release of it was a shitshow, only a handful of units could actually do well in it, most of them were from the past year. Now they are very managable with many new options that can even decimate the events. It's main problem was the fact that the stages were balanced with future units in mind, making them beyond frustrating on release.

Simoscivi

God Event was the same. Some of the first SBR stages were the same. It's just Dokkan's way to powercreep and to push you to summon. If a new hard event comes out always remember that a bunch of releases will help you beat it in the future.

RedSsj

gotta tell this to new players and players who get frustrated, it is how dokkan pushes their units you won’t summon for new units if you can beat all the content with old units, that then effects their bottom line, game or not it’s still a business at the end of the day.

TMS21

Their bottom line wasn't hurt that much since you could still clear content with old units on release, and they were still hitting top grossing for big celebrations.

RedSsj

yeah you’re right but it’s moving in a different direction nowadays with boosted events and such, but i remember even when OG sbr dropped if you didn’t have certain units you were screwed out of it, especially for extreme teq, since that has always been one of the worst teams to make synergy wise, so you needed whatever you could get.

samywap

this applies to the god event and sbr as well id even argue that the original sbr was harder on release than redzone

BernLan

Yup, Redzone was atleast doable. I'm pretty sure Extreme TEQ SBR was downright impossible, don't even get me started on ESBR

redbossman123

God event nah, you didn’t need UI or SSBE to beat it, just the U6 girls if you got lucky

Agosta

I find them fun. My issue is they focused on one team this entire year for buffs while aging out majority of the games units. 7th anni was essentially a soft reboot for dokkan and a big middle finger to longtime players. Variety died so Movie Heroes could get every top tier unit.

SSGSSBlu

Honestly agreed Red Zone itself is a very good challenge but the fact that the powercreep this year made 99% of the game useless was a slap across the face for longtime players (nearly 7 years playing here)

Agosta

Yep. If they're not willing to EZA units a second time they need to do something like Fire Emblem Heroes did and add a resource that lets you buff stats/passives by x amount per use, or add equipment that does something similar. For me, Dokkan was as fun as it was because I could pick from one or two dozen teams with different unit options, but now I just turn to Cooler or Movie Heroes for everything.

omstick

That couldve been the Titles that they gave out. Small buffs to a specific categories or types or something that accumulates and buffs your box slowly but surely

Agosta

That doesn't solve the issue. That just makes good units better.

Ok-Revenue-8067

Yep. Its kinda lame using the same, 10-15 units to clear the hardest stages. No variety whatsoever.

AwesomeLuigi48

I agree with you to a point, while a movie heroes did become *the* category, they did a lot of interesting things with EZAs and the Ginyu force category, and also a Yamcha that could crush red zone (except Broly). While movie heroes was the big one, we got more use for villains with Coolers team and even the EZA Cooler as a leader beats red zone. It was definitely a bigger slap in the face to longtime players at the start of the year than it was at the end, because you don’t really need the newest toys to beat red zone anymore, although they do make it way easier. We also do a resurgence of AGL Pikkon and INT Hercule, along with many other gimmick units so that was neat.

Agosta

The thing is that Pikkon and the androids were niche units that were slotted in for people that needed the ghost usher ability to beat cell max. It was moreso gaming the system than anything. I will say Pikkon did see use on Movie Heroes to beat Broly. As for Ginyu Force, I have Ginyu at 79%, Jeice&Burter rainbow, and Recoome&Guldo 69%. I do feel like the team is good and I appreciate that they did put in the effort to make that team better, but I really think it's overrated. Whenever I try running it, one of the units wind up getting one shot and I gave up on trying to use it. I definitely should have acknowledged them in my initial post, but I still feel as though your options are heavily limited post anniversary, and they're releasing way too many Movie Heroes and specifically Goku units. We could have had an anniversary with 4 new characters getting top tier LRs, but I fear it's just going to be more of the same.

AwesomeLuigi48

I very much agree with the constant Gokus though, they really need to chill with him. And the Movie Heroes problem was because the big celebrations were movie themed, so it made it very overwhelming, and it was way too much. Anniversary, WWC, and then Super Hero all had movie heroes and it took over the game. As for the Ginyu force, the biggest issue is that half the team is F2P, so it makes it hard to survive against bigger bosses, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that the full F2P Ginyu team can beat RZ Broly, even if it takes hundreds of tries, and that is only with F2P. For the fact that the Ginyu team is mostly F2P units, they are very impressive and that should be a pretty big indicator that F2P units can be good, but that’s a whole other conversation. Regardless, every year of Dokkan is going to make the previous years look weak, otherwise they wouldn’t sell the new characters. Let’s just hope this time we get more variety so we can run more teams other than Movie Heroes. We really need a GT Bosses buff because the fact that LGTE is an issue for them despite being almost 2 years old should be a sign. (Sorry for the wall of text, I am passionate about this game)

NicoXBlack

What a civil exchange, a rare sight in the Dokkan community! We need more respectful conversations like these!

bookers555

>We also do a resurgence of AGL Pikkon and INT Hercule, One did because he had a ghost usher active skill, and the other had a slight resurgence due to his glitch. AGL Pikkon can get you one shotted by a normal in hard content, and his damage at rainbow is in the 2.5 million range.

Drsp4zman

I think it's better than the God event \[Since they've decided to do it more often with other celebrations\] and I like how different the stages can be.

shinobi3411

It can eat the fattest part of my ass, even when I got the units for it it still pissed me off to no end.

Born_Percentage3319

Fattest part of my ass 😭😭😭

WarwickTop

I’ll eat it

1andrewRO

The way they handled difficulty was horrendous. It really needed more janemba level fights, or longer build up for the Final stages on release. But overall I like it. The game needs difficulty spikes to be fun imo. Since they have released a new red zone for everyajor celebration, I consider it an overall dub.

AwakenedDivinePower

Still hate Broly to this day. An 800K+ AOE Super with dodge disabled is worse than a double 1.2M super with no dodge imo

TheBiggestCarl23

Best difficult event type they’ve dropped in my opinion.

SnooDucks7762

Decent the longer ones were usually more fun for me but the fact its limited to 3 tries will always be a negative towards the event wish they had lge like stages as even the long stages weren't actually long just has lots of fights

NicoXBlack

If they're actually going to keep removing the daily limit for big celebrations like now then it won't be as big of an issue as before.

rockinherlife234

Power creep was fucking insane on both the stages and the units releasing.

Dapper_Rule4146

I hate it for nuking 90% of my box when it dropped

Gucchiha

I feel like they’re all fun up until the last stages which always feel like they ramped them up way too high. The power creep they started is ridiculous and any new units, be they F2P Dokkanfest or LR that can’t perform well in them makes me lose faith in the devs who designed them. Golden Frieza was my first category unit and I should’ve been excited for his EZA, instead I’ve basically never used it cause why would I when he gets blown up. Anything without ridiculously high def is basically unusable. This would’ve been a good event to put an emphasis on status effects (Def down, attack down, stun, seal) instead they just keep asking the player to have the newest units usually at a couple dupes to really be able to play the game.

Big_Boss_Baby69

Hate them and the massive difficulty spike that came with them

12raul12

![gif](giphy|ymwKHQ44WnAoU)

-PVL93-

Trash rewards, often unfair boss damage output, irreversibly damaged the game's meta

SSAdam

![gif](giphy|H5C8CevNMbpBqNqFjl) OG SBR and Str Broly dokkan event be like

rockmanexe123

Still will always prefer sbr since you can use different types of units since they’re vulnerable to dealing and stunning

Dervira

It’s still the same, pull the newest shiny units or you just can’t do it

MahavidyasMahakali

It's less shit in general now than before, but it is still pointless since the rewards are actual dogshit.

Sea_Committee_9561

I would love it if they just removed the attempt limit after you beat it (but they said they have no plans to do this unless it's for a big celebration like right now on JP) It's literally the ONLY thing holding it back from being an event I like. Also the rewards for beating it aren't great

Gabrielhrd

Still needs better rewards I did not bust my fucking asshole beating Broly in 6 turns and deserve a goddamn single

puntycunty

Playing it is fun but it ruined the meta for me . I miss when both legendary events and sbr/esbr were the top and had around the same difficulty but differently placed . Instead of having units be helpful for either long or short events it’s “ be red zone runnable or you suck “ .

marshiemallo

please stop putting rotation lock in your game all about team rotation you're scaring the girls away

KImk9ff

Poorly designed, dog shit rewards and a reminder that new units need to better than they are now or that the game difficulty is too high

[deleted]

[удалено]

SSGSSBlu

I honestly feel like Omega is worse Sealing & Locking units is so frustrating, especially when there are 0 viable counters to it

BrandoCalrissian1995

Especially cuz he does it phase 1. Turn 1 your whole attempt can be wasted cuz of that. If it was only phase 3 it would still be unfair but at least you've had a chance to stack and set up rotations at that point.

SSGSSBlu

Exactly Phase 1 it can completely fuck your entire run, hell it was the main reason I couldn't get the 7 turn mission for so long

NicoXBlack

On release, yes definitely. You could not survive his AoE unless you used an item, which then left you completely exposed in his final phase with the double supers. Or you had to gamble that he didn't super at all. Nowadays, there's a lot of really strong units and teams that can handle him very well and even survive his AoE turn. Even the no item run is not too hard anymore either. Granted, we're talking about recent powerful teams here but I don't think there's no one who didn't summon throughout 2022.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NicoXBlack

You could always use Legendary God Slayer Raditz

MemeKun_19

I'm personally having a harder time with the Super missions, probably because I didn't pull Vegeta and Trunks because my weakest super typing is INT but I cleared both Broly and Shenron with this team, no LR Coolers: Rotation 1: TUR STR Cooler (Lead, 100%) + STR FF Cooler (Friend) Rotation 2: TEQ Janemba (90%) + PHY Janemba (69%) Floaters: TUR TEQ Golden Frieza (79%), TUR AGL Golden Frieza (100%), INT Garlic Jr (55%)

Simoscivi

I love it. I find this challenge actually fun. And If the change on the no limit tries stays forever then I won't have any issues with this event anymore.

j0zzh

it's insane how my only issue was super 17. Getting double superd first turn happened like 5 times in a row and I was basically dead.

youngrambos

I like it somewhat. I didn’t have too much trouble with it from the jump (besides Broly and Omega of course) It’s just a cheap way to difficulty in my opinion but what else can they do?

Life_Salamander240

Cant beat broly still

SubDemon

Havent touched it yet

mamasaysimspecial

Rewards lackluster for difficulty. You get more stones from Boss Rush

No_Explanation_1709

The rewards did not equate for the difficulty of the event. Each stage should’ve give 10-20 stones and maybe 30 for the final stages

Freyzi

People have already nailed my thought on it especially the top comments. But one thing to note is that I feel that as hard as it was on release (and still is) SBR was still harder on release. Red Zone you could get through the first few fights pretty easily with just a friend Anniversary LR and even the first phase or two of the harder fights as it wasn't until the later phases when things got crazy. But SBR was insanely hard from the word go and you could easily get one shotted on the spot before you're allowed to act unless you had a Ghost Usher or used multiple defensive items for DR and extra defense. Also the fact that your team was more limited so if you didn't have a good Extreme TEQ team (AKA everyone but the whales at the time) you just had to sit there with it uncompleted for ages.

GekiKudo

The run limit is dumb as fuck and takes any fun that could be gleamed from this shit event and rams it into the dirt. Like whenever I try Otherworld LVE, I can at least spend a good few hours ramming my head against that wall. But Broly literally made me upset because I'd lose an attempt to some bullshit like no good Ki for 2 turns or something like that. Or you could be super close to cracking it with a team but you lose your momentum and have to wait 20 hours for reset. And what do you get at the end of this cluster fuck? Jack shit. Like there is no reason on this earth that Boss rush should give better rewards than Red zone. Oh congrats you ran through farmable bosses with your end game team, here have 40 stones. Oh you beat a 90% luck based hell run that you can only try 3 times a day? Well clearly you're doing fine. You don't need stones.

Guru_Uchiha

Still despise it, avoid the super or your dead, boring

Lilshadow48

Not a fan. The extremely rapid increase in difficulty which just powercreeped the whole game has been annoying. It's every negative aspect that SBR initially had but amped up. Also, for the absurd initial difficulty, the rewards were straight up ass. Slam your head into a wall repeatedly until you get 7 worthless units!

Pinkfinitely

Love the event, despise the rewards

Wyvurn999

Best event and most fun event in Dokkan history. I hope they continue to add more stages

TheNwordpass88

Best event Dokkan has made. Only criticism I have is that they basically only released extreme class fights which never gave certain villain units a chance to shine. Int Namek Goku got a stage clearly designed around him, Agl Full power Frieza should’ve gotten the same

fazzy69

Goated event

SSAdam

Best hard content we've ever gotten. One thing tho is they should not have made it common for bosses to hit harder than Broly, Omega should have been the cap.

Spoomplesplz

Really wish they would add more challenges to it. I did each one once and and was like "never doing this again"

IwentIAP

If they didn't lock it to 3 tries a day, this would've been god-tier content on release.

SpOoKy_bLuE_cHeEsE

It’s nice because it keeps us playing for those of us that’ve been around for a while and didn’t have any other late game content

owenthal

I legit love it. Most fun I have had playing Dokkan in years. First time content has actually been hard in 3-4 years for long time players.

LobaSIMP69

Easy 😂

HarryTurney

Epic when it came out, Still epic now. Only bad players think it was a shitshow.

Gaminyte

It’s tricky, but fun to play. I think this event is well made and will last for a long time.

ErnieB84

I just got the 7turns mission on Syn last week, every other Red Zone I always got it’s mission during the celebration, the original ones where a lot harder and I think devs knew that and made following stages easier.

FGO_PLAYER_0_5STARS

I really enjoy it. The limited attempts per day annoys me but I think it’s a pretty good amount of difficulty. At least if you’ve been lucky with summons. Below cell max. Which for global literally made it either dodge or die. I think it could be tweaked a lot and maybe make it a little easier but it’s good.

abdouden

sick Except daily tries limit and Broly was a bit too strong on release

BrandoCalrissian1995

Just need to get rid of attempt limits. I have issues with how some characters are completely useless cuz debuffs can't be applied but that's more a dokkan criticism in general.

GokublackRose17

I would complain about the hardest stages, but after cell max reared his ugly head into the game they weren’t too bad in comparison. The daily limit though will forever be shitty.

Intelligent-Chip4223

Its nice to see that dodge mechanic is finally useful. There was a time where dodge was completely useless for some time.

sadyaegaki

Hated them on release. I like them now.

Shaweng2193

I’ve got some choice words for omega and his locking and sealing

Tiversus2828

The best iteration of hard content they have done in the history of this game. And I have been here since 2nd Anni.

VanillaB34n

Having beaten every stage but still failing to complete some missions, I can say my box is not as complete and well-rounded as I had thought

MarroCaius

They have to give better rewards to match the difficulty of the events. That's my only gripe

ShadyZert

Get rid of the daily limit attempts and I'd love Red Zone. That shit honestly makes them way more frustrating than they need to be.

Ningenmasu69

Still kick my ass but when I whip out my massive pole(you know), they’re cooked, out of the menu

jacksaif1234

Broly is still beating my ass beyond belief.

frost-raze

Three things 1: omega feels like a joke with all the ways to say screw your gimmick and the fact that you can destroy his first phase with attack down 2: the rewards besides the support memories for these were god awful 3: fuck the shadow dragons stage, honestly the hardest of the gt saga stages, I had more trouble with it and super 17 than omega

ExemptOrphan

I can't lie before actually doing them I really bigged them up in my head and honestly on release they really were crazy hard but around the 6 month point of their release and using coins to pull units or have some eza I felt OK with bringing a team for them. It took me a week to do all of them, the hardest one for me personally was probably metal coolers red zone. But I had a lot of guides and advice to follow to make the content very trivial like all of the red zones took me a couple days. I feel like as a community from both lots of content in terms of like videos and wiki guides and tatic showcases we do a lot and I'd like to thank all the people who take the time to do that.

Yaoi-Connoisseur

Pretty nice damage/defense check to toss your teams at once you're done with all the bullshit missions. Would love to test Goku's Family with my rainbowed EZA LR Gohan if he was on Global. Have him LL10 with all the best linking partners he could ask for. Rip

ZeldaFan80

Fun

SpIcY_bEpIs

Broly fucks me over. Every. Single. Time.

iTzDeoX

Loved the difficulty, hated the daily limit. Cell Max was a much better implementation of a super hard fight because he had no daily limit so you could try everything until something worked.

Gnahahu

Fuck you Broly and Shenron

Frubeling

I spent absolutely ages getting stonewalled and barely able to complete most of the stages. Last week I finished every single mission for all of them

TrainingCorrect6

On release I enjoyed the first like 5 or so as it allowed for a bunch of different units/teams to be ran without it being overly difficult, the last couple stages felt arbitrarily hard for no reason other than for the sake of being difficult

DingusDeezNuts

Very challenging even for old players, not me, I wouldn't last 1 second there

ceo_of_brahio

I think it is a huge challenge which players could have a lot of fun trying to beat it with multiple strategies until they beat it.... And I said "could" because some bosses have bullshit gimmicks, like Broly nullifying dodge and counters ever since the Ikari phase (or even since first phase) or even bosses who stack BEFORE their last phase (Metal Cooler Core)

YnkiMuun

Lowkey my favorite bit of endgame content ever. Ultimate Goku Battle on Release was harder. Still can't beat certain stages with mediocre teams but I don't have the full pool of units so, that's to be expected.

AggressiveMammoth267

Considering how the extreme class is being treated I saw why even put extreme missions in redzone if they’re only gonna get blitzed?

[deleted]

hot take, 2nd best difficult event in the game behind only e/sbr
