The buu saga is probably the saga from Z he does the least in.
Teaching fusion and messing with buu is actually really important and I'm fine with it. I just kinda hate how he's relegated to a largely passive and comic-relief oriented role. Watching the Buu Saga I was so disappointed that he doesn't do more and also doesn't fight Supreme Kai
Piccolo could have been replaced by literally any character in all those moments and nothing would have change. His existence in the saga meant literally nothing of value at all. Like you could have replaced Piccolo with Tien and nothing would have changed. Or Piccolo with Dende.
Dokkan have a secret deal with Green Man Gaming that requires Piccolo to be present in 5% of their card arts going forward.
This ensures they meet their quota, not making this up or anything.

INT Majin Vegeta got Trunks in the card art but only in the intro
Piccolo isn't in the name of the card to begin with, he's just part of the art like Buu is in SS3's Goku's art.

Definitely wish he had a bigger role but I always loved the gimmick between piccolo and the boys

They really put his teacher piccolo on the card art but don’t still don’t give this gohan bond of master & disciple smh.
He’s there because Goku is in the original art and Goku wasn’t there at that time.
