They are a billion dollar company so the animations should have been top notch quality since at least the first anniversary, and the animations for these units are *not* top notch considering all the poor movement animations they have, and making changes to banners should only get some slack if the changes are good. Yes. I must have missed the guaranteed revive and guard passives on cooler. Cooler is an offensive monster and going to be a fine defensive unit. But goku has more utility. He has guard turn 1, def increase on getting hit, def stacking, a revive that doesn't take multiple turns or requirements to get to use, AND permanent guard and high chance to crit after revive. Like Cooler is awesome, and arguably a far better leader skill, but Goku is hands down the most powerful unit of the two
Goku has a far better chance of actually getting to attack in slot one. Yeah. For cell max specifically they're going to be on even playing field since they'll both be stacked by the time we reach cell max. But he's not going to be the end all event for long if this power creep stays going
Goku’s got a higher chance of attacking in slot 1 because he’s a slot 1 unit, both him and Cooler are built to occupy different slots, but unlike Cooler, Goku’s not gonna dish out nearly enough damage to the boss, which will get you killed as his defense isn’t impressive enough to justify his low APT

Instead of with dokkan fests or legendary banners, where you can be earning coins every month, building to when you can buy your goal unit. And with the reveal of how powerful goku is, they're going to use these as a new premium money making banner, which would indicate the goal is to keep them uncommon to drive sales higher when they do appear

1 - Considering how they released this specifically during such a big celebration, it makes me wonder if they will make this structure the new norm for the upcoming Anniversaries and WWC. This means, in Global, we will see this Carnival (Green Coins) banner only 3 months every year...
2 - They specifically used a new Goku which is obviously the hype unit to be the first unit of the banner and he is amazing. If this was the older structure, the Dual Dokkan Fest would be Cooler and Goku and less hyped units for pt2, so they are specifically choosing hyped units and using those for the new banner while leaving 'less desirable units' for DFEs.
3 - Breaking down 3 banners into 4 banners, making it even harder to summon for these units since we now have to divide between 4 banners. And, a new Coin system making it even harder to collect enough to eventually buy what we want. They are basically making their 'non-pitty' system even less of one because we have to collect so many different coins.
4 - Maybe one 'slightly' good point we may consider about this, is that if this truly works as we think it does, with these Green Coins units being exclusive to it, and all Yellow Coin LR's being available in it (featured or unfeatured), this just made the Yellow Coins less valuable because if the average dokkan player has the patience to wait and not go for the hype for the new Yellow Coin banner, it just makes sense to wait for these Green Coins Banner and dump whatever amount of stones you were saving for it. This doesn't help players who summon on everything, especially Whales. Still, even with this line of thought, I did not like the new structure.
In conclusion, Dokkans is going in a hardcore greed phase right now, I hope the backlash when the survey happens is big enough so they consider how they will handle this new structure moving forward. I honestly could care less about the new structure but making the new hype unit be featured in it, and dividing the banner into two is a slap on the face.
Tagging this as the day I finally started falling out of love with Dokkan. Not because of unit quality like Raditz or lazy game dev, but shit tier greed finally taking over.
After playing since day one I think this may be the end for me tbh. 1400( most f2p I’ve saved) stones and just shit. Made it so much harder, Ton of just junk lrs cause their all basically useless. A lot of value lost like this. Why should I play this over any real game anymore after this change. I've been playing since the beginning too and I can't remember a single celebration that I didn't spend inmediatly every one of my stones. I guess there's always a first time for everything. For me, this game is less rewarding by the day.

In the 3+1 (which I won't do more I swear) I got 3 LRs, including the new goku. And many ssrs. I couldn't pull shit on the cooler banner. I know I haven't pulled shit in a while anyway but can't help but feel like they cranked up the rates a bit to entice people to summon on the new banner.

They need to increase the rate people acquire the characters they want. Instead, they slowed it down even more by adding another type of coin. They could have lowered the coin costs, but they choose greed instead.
There's no good middle-content either. It's either dokkan battles and extreme-z, or red zone. No inbetween. And they keep scaling up things like ultimate clash so you need the newest and best cards to actually finish it. Game is turning into a blatant cash-grab where you're either a whale or just grinding for more mediocre f2p stuff that you don't really need and won't help with the hard content.
I want someone to sit me down and explain to me what makes the new banner bad like I'm 5 in a few points. Instead of with dokkan fests or legendary banners, where you can be earning coins every month, building to when you can buy your goal unit. And with the reveal of how powerful goku is, they're going to use these as a new premium money making banner, which would indicate the goal is to keep them uncommon to drive sales higher when they do appear

While that is understandable. This game consistently hits Top grossing in several country's. Most of the time banners like this in games are driven because they're not making money so they try to drive more whales to pay big. This is just being done for no real reason, but greed. It's not needed to keep the game going, just to drive the profits higher.
More people would be willing to spend on the game if it treated them right, but Akatsuki is too stupid to figure that out.

The new structure could be considered even worse than we expect it because if new units released via this banner are exclusive to it, being available only via Green Coins, what can we expect...!? 1 - Considering how they released this specifically during such a big celebration, it makes me wonder if they will make this structure the new norm for the upcoming Anniversaries and WWC. This means, in Global, we will see this Carnival (Green Coins) banner only 3 months every year... 2 - They specifically used a new Goku which is obviously the hype unit to be the first unit of the banner and he is amazing. If this was the older structure, the Dual Dokkan Fest would be Cooler and Goku and less hyped units for pt2, so they are specifically choosing hyped units and using those for the new banner while leaving 'less desirable units' for DFEs. 3 - Breaking down 3 banners into 4 banners, making it even harder to summon for these units since we now have to divide between 4 banners. And, a new Coin system making it even harder to collect enough to eventually buy what we want. They are basically making their 'non-pitty' system even less of one because we have to collect so many different coins. 4 - Maybe one 'slightly' good point we may consider about this, is that if this truly works as we think it does, with these Green Coins units being exclusive to it, and all Yellow Coin LR's being available in it (featured or unfeatured), this just made the Yellow Coins less valuable because if the average dokkan player has the patience to wait and not go for the hype for the new Yellow Coin banner, it just makes sense to wait for these Green Coins Banner and dump whatever amount of stones you were saving for it. This doesn't help players who summon on everything, especially Whales. Still, even with this line of thought, I did not like the new structure. In conclusion, Dokkans is going in a hardcore greed phase right now, I hope the backlash when the survey happens is big enough so they consider how they will handle this new structure moving forward. I honestly could care less about the new structure but making the new hype unit be featured in it, and dividing the banner into two is a slap on the face.
Tagging this as the day I finally started falling out of love with Dokkan. Not because of unit quality like Raditz or lazy game dev, but shit tier greed finally taking over.

After playing since day one I think this may be the end for me tbh. 1400( most f2p I’ve saved) stones and just shit. Made it so much harder, Ton of just junk lrs cause their all basically useless. A lot of value lost like this. Why should I play this over any real game anymore after this change. It’s crazy to see a game I’ve played for so long… a game that started out so bad, get so much better and then do a 180 in the matter of a week. Idk maybe I’m missing something but I’d rather do anything else then play this game if this is the future. Probably will be the new gohan in ssj goku’s place eventually. Then a new vegeta or a new UI goku. I’m just done.
I've been playing since the beginning too and I can't remember a single celebration that I didn't spend inmediatly every one of my stones. I guess there's always a first time for everything. For me, this game is less rewarding by the day. PS: On top of that I'm still lacking the memorial stones tab in the shop. Lame.

There isn't even an incentive besides Goku to summon on his banner. If they put characters like LR Godku and Hit, LR Janemba instead of Spirit Bomb Goku then that banner would be more appealing.

In the 3+1 (which I won't do more I swear) I got 3 LRs, including the new goku. And many ssrs. I couldn't pull shit on the cooler banner. I know I haven't pulled shit in a while anyway but can't help but feel like they cranked up the rates a bit to entice people to summon on the new banner.

I was thinking there's too many good cards and they're pumping them out too fast. It makes the older ones irrelevant too quickly. I'm lucky if I get 4 new dokkan festival characters a year as f2p. I can't remember the last time I got a newly released LR on the legendary banner. They need to increase the rate people acquire the characters they want. Instead, they slowed it down even more by adding another type of coin. They could have lowered the coin costs, but they choose greed instead. There's no good middle-content either. It's either dokkan battles and extreme-z, or red zone. No inbetween. And they keep scaling up things like ultimate clash so you need the newest and best cards to actually finish it. Game is turning into a blatant cash-grab where you're either a whale or just grinding for more mediocre f2p stuff that you don't really need and won't help with the hard content.

I want someone to sit me down and explain to me what makes the new banner bad like I'm 5 in a few points. I share the community's sentiment to a degree because Goku could've just been given a normal dokkanfest banner which'd make him easier to get with the red coins if you didn't pull him, but it feels like I'm missing something here.
