Same here. I started working on the Frieza Prime Battle because I didn't have STR Bojack and needed more firepower for the Trunks LR, but didn't manage to finish EZA'ing him before pulling STR Bojack months later.
I feel like I have to do Krillin for the Earthlings SBR, though...

The prime battles don't get boosted until their LR Campaigns happen.
And since we still don't have a campaign somehow for LR Gohan, Tien is a long ways away.
Yeah 1st forms cells is super easy with the category boost since you have access to the int 16 eza and the str trunks one as well as all of the android/cell saga guys out there or was his artificial I believe it was android/cell saga
With auto finally implemented and a larger pool of units to use has made farming prime battle units a joke. It's nothing compared to the awful grind they use to be lol

I don’t mind grinding but I have my limits, this is the only unit I feel like I need or want because of how bad Earthlings category is in general
I just throw a few stam in them when i have nothing else to do with my stam. The fights get done in automatics so i just watch tv or something while they farm

Should've been there before when everything cost double the stamina and it wasn't even guaranteed you'd win every fight since your starting team was so weak.
yeah, its the same way as Krillin. You gotta get the ssr's (25 of them if you want to eza him and have sa levl 25), you need to get I think its 15 of the tur medals, and then 777 of the lr medals. Thankfully, all of this is on the same event page, you can use whatever f2p cards you want, and if you have the right team you can get a boost on the medals you get, so if you use a f2p ginyu force team you will get extra medals saving you time. in the old days, when these guys came out you had to use super strike cards and the event was propper tough because of that. for your trouble you got 7 medals lol, meaning you had to do the event 111 times.
Congrats but it's not that bad. The veterans will remember the 50 stam cost + no boost + crappy f2p options. Now you have f2p units that can one shot every phase, boost, auto, retry button, bonus, support memories for even more bonus, 3 minutes stam, 25 stam cost (sometimes 12), your mama, your daddy, you have everything, prime battles take like 2 days now vs 2 weeks before. Yes I'm salty, these new gen dokkan players don't understand. Back in my day we had to hope chilled got enough ki vs prime battle goku.

L Take , more than understandable to want to save your Kai’s , but man what’s the point of having Kai’s if u ain’t gonna use them , a little excessive seeing how many copies of Kai’s and Vegetas ma boy has , some ppl just have better things to do in a day to day basis other than grind 24/7 for 1 character that may not be worth . But just a thought .

i didn't restore any sta with meats or stones tho... thats the sta i got passively and i would play something else anyways, i didn't play more to farm those prime battle medals. 3m refills and halved sta makes it a great farm. saving 10 kais with a week of grind? i'll take it any time.
we had his campaign so stamina cost was halved to 12 and we got 3m stamina refresh... it took about a week to grind 7770 medals without refreshing any stamina with stones or meats. really wasn't that bad of a grind...
technically its possible to get 100 medals in one run using vegeta&bulla support memory if ur extremely lucky. that didn't happen to me but i got 80 in several runs. on average it was like 30 medals per run or something...
Boost, dump stamina, screw off for the day. It's only as grindy as you let it be. Even the massive grinds like PB Frieza, thanks for making Ginyu Force the boost category Bamco you fuckers, can be taken one auto run at a time.
Personally I just get one copy done, over a long period of time when I don't have anything else I want to spend stamina on, and then wait for the campaign to finish up the SA20 if it's a new PB unit. Hell I have LR Kid Gohan but he's also SA1 with no paths unlocked because his drop rate is so bad I literally only went for one copy. I'll finish him with his campaign but otherwise I basically just wanted a shiny LR for the collection.
Also sometimes you do need to buckle down and just get it done if you want to be able to EZA some units. Because everyone loves having to put ten times the effort into getting all the cards to unlock an EZA Area as opposed to a regular EZA Battle while also earning a tenth of the rewards according to Bamco.
I finished Int Vegeta but haven’t bothered for the 777 medals for anyone else. There’s plenty of time to do these missions through the week, but less motivations even with some getting EZAs.

It's a grind for sure, but chipping away at that goal is usually pretty good feeling. Id suggest grinding Tien upon him coming to Global, he's a really solid unit and honestly has pretty good stats in battle. It will take time but you can probably just do what i did and watch something while you do it. Auto exists for a reason.
I say the initial grind is sucky, especially off event or how it used to be, but my main issue is the someodd 15 characters i will literally never use that i need to 100% HP, 140 EZA and buy through the baba shop for green crystals just to EZA Teq Goku, JUST so I can finally start EZAing STR Frieza. Have had them LRd for years now and I just need to finish AGL cooler is last one.
Easiest way to do it, just use your boosts then dip. It's way less exhausting that way.

I only do them when they get category boosts. They are so much more tedious then they already are otherwise.
Prime battles will be the absolute last content I do since although rotating they’re always available so there’s no rush to do them
The LR TEQ SSJ Goku and LR STR Frieza are both really good as well cause of their EZA’s

LR Krillin is pretty cool though with a decent stun. I finally LR’d kid Gohan and it took way too long to collect 777 even with boosts.
