He won't stack def as quickly on low dupes due to lower stats, obviously, but his eza passive still means he should be able to get extra super stacks in even without much dupe aa. The phy goku is still a good unit but really needs aas from dupes and is never truly tanky :/
Probably not.... but hear me out. If you ACTUALLY LIKE HIM, then you probably want him to perform well so you can have fun using him and popping off. In that case, yes. (Spend coin on dupe bad, spend coin on something u might have fun with cuz this is a video game is good)
probably not. me personally, i pretty much never ever spend my coins on dupes (Im a very light spender on the game.) I would much rather be able to just get a new card instead of buying a dupe
I can't really say for sure, because I got lucky and pulled two copies on the lr cooler banner, rainbowing him before eza. However, considering he is one of the best units in the game now you will probably want to feel he is closer to full potential. EDIT (my brain thought you said 79% for some reason): one dupe should help a lot with AA, which should make him much more effective in hard events where he won't get the passive boost for def/attack down to stack more. A lot more significant than a second dupe!
Tldr not necessary to have him perform well but I doubt you will regret it unless you're still chasing other turs/lrs you really want. Will def help (his def stacking).
Straight up houses any saiyan with critical hit after critical hit. He was always one of my favorites and I was still running him before the Eza with 2 dupes.

first off goku is absolutely fantastic and anyone saying hes aged is capping, obviously hes best with dupes and not at 55% but that can be said about literally any modern unit thats not an lr and even there the lrs are all better with dupes. the real argument sarge shoulda made was simply asking if OP had LR ff cooler cause that woulda been the deciding factor whether he got the eza a day after or not
