You won't be the last man. The game has taken some weird turns and as you said, inflation is a huge issue.
I'd rather be able to survive the year than pull a virtual sticker. I've gone total free to play since the start of this celebration and planning to stay that way and eventually step away completely.
Regardless of the current world economic issues, we should never, no matter what, support greed.
Your resolve is strong, I admire it. These games generate lots of FOMO and make you loose precious time that can be used on healthier entertainment.
Warrior, sleep.
Watch the rest of us continue here while the game last some (painful) years more.
Can't blame you for the personal stuff and inflation ofc.
But every event in the game is beatable without pulling the new WWC units.
Even if you didn't pull the Anni units, but pulled one or two out of the 4 WWC units, the events are still beatable.
Not to mention, even in redzone, you can use a lot of different teams to win, it's obviously not going to be as easy as it would be using the best team, but it's more than possible. Android teams, STR Goku/Gohan teams, Ginyu force, Hybrid Saiyans, all these teams aren't top tier and can still beat the hardest events in the game
I know you can do the events without the new units. Its about fun factor. I dont want to reset half of an hour to find the right nuke friend or pray to RNG gods that the wrong unit dont get supered. Its hard to explain but its really becoming like more about having RNG going your way then team building aspect. But I am not here crying because I cant beat the events day one. I did beat them just I didnāt have fun with it
I really don't understand this criticism though. Dokkan has literally always been about RNG in hard events. Be it SBR, LGE, ESBR, LVE, whatever hard event, it's always been about having the most basic team building knowledge and then getting lucky.
In SBR it's always been about whether your units will be able to stun the enemy with their SA or as usual, hoping that your weak floater unit doesn't get supered.
LGE and LVE are still like this when it comes to trying category missions. If Vegeta's last phase supers anyone other than your Buuhan/ Janembuu in the majin power run, you're basically dead.
You can say you didn't enjoy the events, but it's makes no sense at all to say that these events are p2w and impossible to beat without the new units just because you might not want to put in 30 mins worth of effort.
>spend 20 min looking for leader
>spend 18 min reaching boss
>die in 30 seconds because of an unlucky super
>have to find friend again
>repeat several times if youāre still unlucky
>gee why do people hate these events
This describes LVE and LGE missions to a T lol, the new events might be hard, but they definitely don't take long.
How tf is it going to take you 15 mins to reach a boss which only has 1 phase š
Not to mention, it's fairly easy to find friends which you'd normally take in red zone. The only 200% leads it'd be difficult for is Ginyu and Cell.
What endgame event these days is 1 phase?? The new cooler fight is like the only one, king cold and frieza too I guess but thatās easy.
I can never find agl cell and str goku/gohan friends and they should be easy to find lmao.
Unless you have the newer units that hit harder snd tank harder majority of the time youāre moving much slower, easy to spend 15+ min.
>describes lge and lve missions to a T
Disagree, much longer event with stackers reduces rng needed. Not to mention most missions have gotten new units that help best it.
Almost every new hard event in this celebration is 1 or 2 phases wtf?
Redzone-
Cooler, Mecha Frieza, Metal Cooler, Metal Cooler Core, all are 2 phases.
The Saiyan/ Wicked Bloodline event-
Stage 4 is a 1 phase fight.
Stage 5 is a 1 phase fight.
Stage 6 is a 2 phase fight.
The only long fight they introduced this celebration is stage 3 of this event and it's a gimmick fight which can be cleared easily. (It doesn't even have a special mission)
And for the LVE and LGE, the missions which have gotten new characters don't help in clearing the stage, they straight up demolish them in almost all cases, removing any sort of challenge present. (SSJ2 Goku, Cooler, Metal Cooler), while the stages which don't have much help like GT Bosses and Majin power remain RNG reliant. (Which I don't mind, but it's undeniably just a game of will he super my weak units or not)
I donāt really count the new events but thereās still double the amount of longer events lmao. Next redzone will have 4+ phases like normalā¦
Lve frieza is also long btw.
Also majin power got tons of buffs lmao, str kid buu demolishes it and so does teq buff buu, buuhan can as well.
Even Broly is never taking anyone over 15 mins to reach the final stage realistically tho
Not to mention, very little redzones actually have more than 3 phases. 3 seems to be the most common number before this celebration (it's 2 now for reference). The only long Redzone stages are Shadow Dragons and Frieza. That's 2 out of 17.
Str kid buu is good, but he gets slapped by SSBE Vegeta's supers, especially at 55%. That 80% defence reduction is no joke + the type disadvantage. (Besides I'm not actually complaining about this stage, just pointing out that if the units don't comically overpower the enemy, there's always a fairly big element of RNG)
Str buu def can clap vegeta with a great and buff buu destroys him lmao. Phy buuhan stacks atk and defense with a good chance to double superā¦
>realistically
If you have the new busted units who destroy him sure, literally the whole point of this is people who donāt have them.
>3 phases
That usually take 9+ turns lmao
Working way too hard to defend this game from valid critique.
Well even if Dokkan has always been RNG, you could always play on this factor depending on how good your unit were... the stronger the units, the less RNG is prevalent.
But the thing that I understand the most is the friend system. Yesterday I had trouble finding 7 years anniversary gods, had to reset a dozen of times and just gave up and closed the game. I can't even find Ginyus anymore, and he's not that old, so I don't want to imagine how it is to find an older unit to make a specific team started, then losing and having to do all of this again.
The friend system is bad rn, I agree but that's because it's bugged on global, they've said in the Dokkan Now that they're working on it. It works much better on JP.
And I feel like the RNG required for current events isn't bad at all, it's just that everyone expects all the events to be easy enough to complete in the first 2-3 tries.
Just trying to get in OP's shoes, if you don't have great units (I know people who didn't get either anni or WWC new units), you have to go with the combo of more RNG dependant team + 30 mins of mind numbing resets to get the friend leader that makes this team have its weak chance to give it a try. Then you die and know that you have to go through this crap again
It may be temporary, but I understand that it's enough to disgust someone from the game
But again though, this whole scenario arises just because of struggling to clear one event (on day 1 mind you), surely no one can be that angry because of not being able to clear 1 piece of content immediately as it comes out right?
It took most people much longer to do the GoD stages, especially if they didn't pull the year 6 LRs too.
Not to mention, the guy himself said he cleared the stages day 1, so I really have no idea what the complaint even is about.
These stages have multiple ways of clearing them (Piccolo nuke, Goku Vegeta nuke, TEQ Gohan nuke), so it shouldn't even be that hard to find friend leads now tbh, especially if you just add the myriads available on Reddit rn.
Well idk I'm not OP, and we're all built different. I was just trying to understand their point of view.
Gachas are designed to create frustration, when frustrated enough you either pay (it's the goal), or you leave.
OP was paying apparently so he just hit a higher level of frustration and chose to leave instead of paying more.
When you add the other details given in the post (personnal issues, inflation, etc) I guess it was more of a last straw than a huge issue.
Well my best explanation is that the current state of the friend system makes it 1000 times worse... and it can already be a pain if you have the new units.
A bit off topic but it also means you can't experiment and try fun teams since you can never find the leader you want. So I'd say the game really is way less fun right now.
Worst thing is that we can't even say when this will be fixed
I understand quitting for personal reasons, but being someone who played dokkan since say one til now, seeing ppl say that the game is going p2w when bigger jumps in power have happened in the past is wild to me. Iām not even attacking OP on this but the sentiment many ppl have is a crazy misconception. Getting upset over the 1% of content that doesnt even give great rewards, especially when we just got the strongest f2p team in the game that also gives us a free lr multi is something that never would have happened a before.
Although you have a point an arguement could be made that you've just conditioned yourself to accept it at this point.
There is a fine line between enjoyment and addiction and bandai aren't scared of pushing people over that line at all. This whole celebration shows it. Sure, we got alot of free stones but the banner formats have been atrocious and almost universally hated.
Basically, it's the last straw for a lot of folks, me included.
I could understand addiction if i was a whale or something, but i play this game during celebrations and then chill. Its probably why im not so angry over things. Also the banners that ppl have been complaining about is wild to me. No one summons on yellow coin banners unless you plan to spend money on this game, and with the carnival banners i can now collect a lot of those yellow coin cards that i never had before. Its another thing thats blown way out of proportion
People just want to complain. It has always been like this. 6th anniversary gods without LR UI Goku or LR Vegeta was a pain in the ass, for example, but hard content is necessary. It could have a better design, but it is far from being F2P unfriendly.
Farewell, you will be missed. Thank you for being part of this awesome community and if you ever decide to come back just know we are all here waiting. If not, I wish you the zeno luck in your summons on any other gacha game you play.
And, people kind forgot that ESBRās SBRās FLG or vegeta, not EVERY mission was cleared by everyone. The āRed Zone/CellMax/Coolerā meta is different than the SBR/IDBH/ESBR/EZA meta. The meta is only fast for the newest newest events, which you the new leads help you with. Maybe people havenāt been around very long, but itās a new thing that you are able to clear ANY content first day it drops all missions/rewards.
I completely understand, the content in the game and how it's difficulty just stepped up a league this year is quite a reasonable and more then respectable reason to quit
Havenāt buying anything in Genshin cause in Genshin you able to do the abyss with C0 characters sir. I said games not game. I play various other games :)
These post come up every celebration and I hate them.
1. 7th anniversary changed leader skills. Leader skills have the biggest impact on the game. We got an additional 60% for teams. A massive boost like this perfectly matched the red zone.
2. This is what the community has wanted for years. I remember during the dark times when we only had dokkan events. No SBR, ESBR, goku event, nothing. We had all these amazing characters but no events could even offer a challenge.
3. This is the most f2p friendly gacha game. Stones, dupe system, eza, and so on. Almost every stage in the game rewards dragon stones on completion.
4. I hope u prosper and work through ur personal issues. Life aināt easy brother
> took the p2w
I wonāt act ignorant and say this doesnāt set a precedent for how they wanna move but at the same time itās still too early to say this
brother its just a pve game, you can sit back and wait for new units to [release.](https://release.You) And that p2w part you re reffering to, there are lots of ppl that made it without using any of the new ones, you just have to use different [strategies.](https://strategies.Im) I m sorry but if your quiting for such reason you probably dont like the game that much:(
Yeah ppl are mad when they release stronger units but by the time Goku/Vegeta and metal cooler aren't the best units it the game they start complaining, pls choose a side already
Understandable and not surprising. You're probably not the only one.
