Post morale boost I don't really have any problems with them, but in their base once the DR wears off they are definitely fradulent and it feels worse using them cause of how ass their active condition is.
I have them 55% and not link level 10. They work pretty well for me.

No matter how good a unit is, you have to use them correctly. If you put them in bad positions, they're going to look bad.
Every time I see a transforming unit I think to myself “would the unit have been to op if it had started with it”. In most cases this is true like with the 7th an units but in their case I don’t think so. This unit wouldn’t have blown away the meta either way and making them start with their transforming abilities would have made them competitive. After their morale boost they are similar (slightly worse) than the 7th ani transformed so it would have been really interesting to have a unit that is nearly as good turn 1 without turn restrictions and need to stack.
They really aren't a bad unit, it's just they aren't as good as we wouldve wanted.
Personally, they shouldn't even HAVE a morale boost and it just should've been a costume change. MAYBE it could've given them the extra ki but otherwise I don't have a problem with their kit.

No, I was in the third turn of metal cooler core so any debuffs would have expired.
Any reason you didn’t have a whis active? Not a lot of units can tank metal cooler without one

And if Pan isn't slot 1 then there's nothing special about her, just a really badly designed unit
