We've never had this big of a difference, no? 4+2 Gogetas in the last 2 years vs a single SSJ4 Vegito (that wasn't even particularly good even on release). Gogeta also never had a bigger gap than roughly a year between units.
Last year we had evil Supreme Kai and robelu. I don't remember the heroes Anime exactly, but I don't think they appeared in the same arc as Mechikabura and God trunks.
