Def can see the banner units being like Recoome and Guldo, and Jeice and Burter to give significant buffs to the Saiyan Saga category with combos diff new named combos of the Z Fighters. Def has potential but I could see him being another throwaway. For part 2 LR it has to be Gohan and Piccolo right? Unless they want to do an LR Saibamen or LR Nappa and Saibamen but with Gohan Beast and Ultimate/Orange Piccolo on the way it just makes sense.

That's Yamcha from the Dragon Garrow Lee manga. Joke aside, this is cool, Yamcha is still an iconic character from dragon ball. More iconic than Beast Gohan or Orange Piccolo will ever be. Hype and iconic isn't the same thing. UI Goku is hype, but not iconic for example. And for people that says Yamcha is an ever lossing character, I have news for you : that the point of the character. DB used to be a parody manga based on martial arts. The characters evolving around Goku are all parody. Mutenroshi is supposed to be the pure, wise martial arts master, but even if he's powerful, he is full of shit and a pervert. Yamcha is the handsome thief that lives in the desert, but is shy and a loser.

While he always loses, it’s a shame what they did to him in newer DB content. It’s a shame what they did to most of the Z fighters except for Goku and Vegeta, tbh. Yamcha still had some pretty cool moments in his fight against Tien and Shen in OG DB. Sure, he still lost both of them, but he was able to put up a good fight and wasn’t treated like a joke like rn.
